A very nice view in itself. Then the boardwalk travels on, then goes under a bridge and next to a sand dune, then Bam! The lake and path funnel into Lake Michigan and the path onto an amazing beach. I had no idea this beautiful public beach was here. The views are outstanding and the sand is pristine. We took the dog, yes on a leash, for a walk of the beach and had a great time. Overall an easy 5 star review. Would I return? Absolutely! A must stop.

The small lake was a hit with campers looking to cool off. Each site has electricity and a fire pit, but make sure you bring a grill to cook on or a pit grill to place on top of the fire pit. There's a large children's playground and horseshoes pits for the adults. Firewood is really cheap at $3/bundle and they even delivered it to your camp site. There are 4 restrooms on site, but no showers or running water. It's camping and not the Ritz-Carlton so make sure you know what you're getting into. Pete and Pat live on site and made sure to check on everyone at least once a day which was really nice. They even picked up our trash every morning. Make sure to bring cash as they don't take credit.

I then gave her a $10 as she is having a conversation with another co worker. She then tells me the total again and I told her that I just gave u a 10. PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR CUSTOMER NOT YOUR COWORKERS. Then they made a big stink bout wearing a mask on the bus and 1st of all they didn't wear a mask at not in the store or busses and they did not make people wear them on the bus. And talk bout safety one of their trailers were missing wheels on both sides. They have the electrical boxes for the site and more than have didnt work so you had to share 1. And they said if its a problem to let them know. Ok HOW ABOUT JUST FIX IT.. This place is going down hill.

The weather was beautiful, and the campground is so nice, and well kept. The bath/laundry house was not only one of the cleanest, but the individual shower spaces were well thought out, and the water was nice and hot. The staff were gracious and helpful, and the price for all of it was reasonable. We stayed two nights and we would certainly stay here again.

It's nice because they have a general store across the street for all your camping needs. We tube down the River which is super easy. Load up our own tubes and rent some as well and they are always very accommodating. Last year we might've lost a tube due to excessive libations/strong current and they were very understanding. You can set your own tents up or rent a trailer depending on how rustic you want to be. Also a big plus is they are on some of the best fishing holes in the state during the salmon season.

Unique experience!…read more If you love off-road riding this is a place you have to give a try. There are rules and permits needed if you bring your own vehicle to ride. We rented so we were able to have that setup and ready for us when we arrived. The dunes are easy to navigate once you are out there. Also you will need a 10foot pole attached to the front bumper. They sell them there. I suggest getting the year pass, you will want to come back and play in the sand, trust me. I don't suggest coming here on a busy weekend. The non Jeep people have zero discipline. Almost got hit by a couple of ATV's, why? Because they don't care, unlike us, these Jeeps are our daily drivers. Not rentals. SO just be aware and check alot before you go fast up a hill. The beach is stunning and the water is beautiful. We have the park pass on our license plate so access was a breeze. There are restrooms, RV camp sites and handicap Mats from the parking lot to the beach. Love the walks on the pier to watch the boats come in or the sunset. Always a good time. Plus the surrounding area has small shops and restaurants so you can make it a day.
