    Polka dot plant.

They have a great selection of beautiful plants. I got a lovely polka dot plant that was really big for a low price.

We came here to get some houseplants for our new apartment. The facility was nice with a moderate selection. Staff was helpful and plants all looked to be in good condition. Upon paying, our three plants was only $12! We were quite happy with that!

    Golden Acres Farms

Wow! Have been wanting to visit Golden Acres for a while now. I'm from west haven and didn't…read morerealize how close it was to my home! If I hadn't looked up local nurseries I never would've known they were there, it's definitely a pleasant surprise to find this adorable farm tucked away where I never would've guessed! My birthday passed recently and the only two things I told my family I wanted to do were get boba tea and go to the nursery. Golden Acres was my choice and I'm so glad it was. I was very impressed by the variety and amount of plants they had, there was tons to choose from! They have numerous greenhouses open at various times with seasonal veggies, perennials, annuals, etc. I love that they are organic and make a point to feature what they do and don't use. I am more of an ornamental gardener who only does a few edibles, but I still try to stay organic and it meant alot to me how transparent they were about their practices. The signs at each greenhouse with pricing and variety were extremely helpful and the way it was setup almost on a trail that you followed to each greenhouse (with various plants also set up outside) made it easy to look at everything without getting too turned around. All the plants looked very happy and healthy and I didn't see any visible pests while browsing. They were close to closing when we stopped by but they never rushed us or acted inconvenienced that we were still there. I ended up purchasing 2 6pk coleus starts - wizard mix and rainbow mix (with plans to return and purchase more plants once I had more time and money), and they were very reasonably priced, transplanted wonderfully and all 12 are thriving. I was extremely impressed by Golden Acres and can't wait to go back. Highly recommend!

I heard about this place a few days ago from a client. As an avid gardener, I'm a bit ashamed I…read moredidn't know about it before. Debbie and Dennis obviously put there heart and soul into growing an amazing selection of plants. Not only are the plants organized logically, but signs provide key information about each variety. I'm anxious to watch the plants grow in my own garden. Now that I know about Golden Acres, I won't forget it.
