Upon entering the salon I was struck by an immediate sense of neglect and disorganization. The reception area was cramped and poorly ventilated, with stale odors lingering in the air and dust collecting along the corners. Promotional posters that should have felt fresh and inviting instead appeared yellowed and curling. Seating consisted of worn-out chairs and stained benches that offered little comfort or reassurance. Lighting was uneven, with some areas washed in harsh fluorescent glare while others remained dim, making detailed nail work difficult. Muzak played so softly it failed to mask the ambient noise of foot traffic and staff conversations. Throughout multiple visits I observed persistent uncleanliness at every station. Nail dust and debris were left on countertops and floors, while disposable liners and paper towels piled in open trash bins. Manicure tools shared communal trays without any wrapping or clear sterilization indicators, and dusty UV sterilizer units hinted at infrequent maintenance and a lack of proper cleaning logs. Floors beneath pedicure chairs bore grimy residue and stained grout, and magazines in the waiting area were dog-eared, tea-stained, and clearly never sanitized. More alarming was the regular appearance of flying moths and small crawling insects in all service areas. Moths congregated around light fixtures and beetle-like insects crawled along nail polish displays, attracted to solvents and pigments. Tiny mites scuttled across upholstery, suggesting deeper infestations in carpets or furniture. Open food and drink at the reception counter, poorly sealed windows and doors, and overflowing trash bins all contributed to the pest problem. Service was equally dismal. Scheduled appointments routinely began twenty to thirty minutes late, walk-ins waited up to an hour, and staff offered no accurate wait-time estimates. Services ran well beyond advertised durations, with quick manicures stretching to nearly double their promised length. Check-out was slowed further by outdated payment systems and receipt errors. Technicians often juggled multiple clients, resulting in rushed finishes and inconsistent attention to detail. Staff uniforms were sometimes street clothes, gloves were used inconsistently, and language barriers led to miscommunications about colors and treatments. The HVAC system failed to regulate temperature or ventilate chemical fumes, causing discomfort and headaches. Shared amenities such as beverages were left exposed to dust and insects. Overall, the salon's failures in hygiene, pest control, efficiency, and professionalism create an environment that is unsanitary, unsafe, and far from the relaxing experience one expects. Until comprehensive improvements are made in cleaning protocols, sterilization practices, pest control, scheduling systems, staff training, and client comfort, this salon is not recommended for anyone seeking a quality nail care service. read more
