I used to work in homeless services and there is a concept called "meeting people where they are at" rather than where they should be. I feel like Jun met my body where it was at, and not where it should be. In other words she was adaptable, intuitive, and really got into the core problem areas. When I got home, my wife commented that my posture was better. I usually don't get such good improvement with only one session. She was also super friendly and had great energy to be around. For starters, I am also a massage therapist, and have been getting massages my entire life and it's really hard to make me feel unsettled during them. I usually love coming to places like this, and came in last night because my hamstrings were incredibly tight. The room was dead silent and had no music which wasn't the end of the world but made it feel a little awkward. The guy massaging me was mostly just pushing lotion around and I asked 3-4 times for more pressure, he said ok, and then didn't go any deeper. To make matters worse, I'm nearly positive he was texting through most of it. His phone would vibrate right by my head, and then suddenly he'd only have one hand kinda absently thumbing at my neck for a minute or two. He had the sheet draped almost off my butt it was so low but despite this, didn't ever work into my glutes at all. My feet were also never worked. I got him to go a bit deeper on my legs which is what I mostly needed, but again, just palm kneading. He then left, I assumed he went to get something but after ten minutes (of only an hour long massage) passed, I started to wonder if it was supposed to be over but when I lifted my head the door was wide open for anyone to walk by. Eventually, a woman came back in, grabbed the sheet so suddenly and almost pulled it entirely off of me, until it was once again, draped along the bottom of my butt. She then undraped both of my legs so the fabric was sorta just piled up between my thighs (this is an illegal drape by the way) , and used a hot towel to clean me off. Despite no one having worked my glutes, she came up under the little bit of covering, separating with her hands as she moved. I don't think it was intentional or anything of course, but the hot towel was fully touching my genitals. I've been to a lot of traditional massage places and I'm fine being entirely nude with nothing but a towel covering my butt if I feel like I can anticipate the flow of the massage and the session goes smoothly and allows me to relax and trust the therapist but this wasn't that. I'm used to the tapotement moves to wake up the body but she was fully just smacking my spine hard. She flipped me over them and I finally got some really good pressure on my head and arms but it was 5 minutes or less at that point, compressed the front of my legs but didn't uncover them. The massage ended and when I paid she reminded me that it was 70 by pointing to the sign, I said yes that's fine, she said it was also 3 dollars for using a credit card, again that's fine, and then she handed me a receipt where she ran the card for 83, ten dollars extra. I was kinda jarred at this point and just wanted to leave so didn't say anything. I was already going to tip and still did on top of that. Maybe I shouldn't have, but I still got some relief and I always tip, it was mostly habitual but feel like it was an uncomfortable, interrupted massage that I got charged extra for.

She couldn't believe I didn't tip her. I paid $60 for a 60 minute massage. I got a 50 minute massage (at the most) so I don't think $60 is unreasonable. That's $1 a minute and 20% tip. She was so upset that I didn't tip her. I will never go back there!

One room only available for ashiatsu/back walking, so request the room in advance if that is what you are looking for. Yuki is an expert with cupping treatments also.

First they soak your feet while you recline in a comfy chair and start to decompress. They do some cranial work on your head, and also shoulders and neck area. The most time is spent doing the reflexology on your feet and lower legs. It's so relaxing that it almost puts me to sleep every time. Be aware that you should wear short sleeves or sleeveless, and also shorts or something that you can roll above your knees. And since they do a complete cranial massage on your head, your hair will be standing on end when you are finished! The ONLY thing I don't love is that they have to step out if someone calls for an appt, but I do understand that they are trying to grow their business and they don't have extra employees. But it's only for a couple of minutes and I get it. It's not enough to take stars off of the review. The space is nice and they are professional and do an amazing job. We have been coming back every 6 weeks or so for more reflexology and have also brought my sister and my mother-in-law to try it out. PS there is a nail spa that's also called Pearl (Nails, I think) that's in Bountiful/Woods Cross on 2600 South, so don't go there on accident. The other place only does mani/pedis
