I have distinct and wonderful memories of playing mini-golf here as a child in the 1990's, and returning here to play as an adult recently fully lived up to my expectations. I played here with my mom and husband and we had a lot of fun. There are two sides of mini golf, each of 18 holes, and it's exactly what you would expect - colorful fountains, a pirate ship and a windmill. The holes here were not too difficult and would be perfect for younger kids. The course was maintained well, and we got a discount for playing the second half after completing the first. We didn't try any of the other attractions here but if you're looking for a lovely outing with a touch of nostalgia, head here for mini-golf. read more

Rude staff, accidentally over paid for something and was refused to get a refund. Only offered to give a coupon but I'm not from here and was confused as to why it was so complicated to give a refund. Harassed constantly by the older staff there. Wouldn't recommend going back. read more

Second visit to this location with several children....older members of staff have very limited client service skills......not practicing social distancing despite their claims.....way too many people inside the play areas.....quick to jump on complaints and chastising kids without getting other side of the incident.....ordered a latte and mocha from cafe and both were watery and lacked any taste....won't bother going back anytime soon. read more

The Double Scoop Impasse I guess I could talk about the colourful, family-friendly attractions, which is what drew in our group of 8 adults and 4 kids in the first place, but unfortunately, the entire visit was marred by a display of atrocious customer service on the part of the man and woman running/managing the establishment. Now, let's discuss ice cream... A single scoop was $3.50, a double scoop was $4.00. My sister ordered a double scoop for two people to share, and asked for an extra cone - not an unreasonable request by any stretch, at least not in our opinion. Here was the lady's response, complete with raised eyebrows and a tone reminiscent of a headmistress reprimanding an unruly student: "No, you have to pay for two single scoops - you're trying to get two ice creams for the price of one. I just did this for you, and I'm not doing it again." Please indulge me as I break down and pick apart her response: "No, you have to pay for two single scoops - you're trying to get two ice creams for the price of one" - OK, I get that you're a business, and that you're out to make a profit. But we've already brought you our business; we're virtually your only customers on an otherwise slow day, and we've already spent a decent chunk of money on your attractions. Would it really hurt you to say yes to this tiny request, just to keep your customers happy? Her reasoning: "I have to charge you what it costs me" Hmmmm.... OK - I'll leave that one to you readers. Now regardless, even if you do insist on having a split charge or no-sharing policy, as some places do, there are nicer ways of saying it. The moment I heard the belittling tone in her voice directed at a member of my family, I knew I would have words to say. "I just did this for you, and I'm not doing it again" - She was confusing this sister with my other sister, despite the fact that they look nothing alike. Both Asian women, yes, but the common features end there. I WILL play the race card here, much as I hate doing it. I guess, to the eyes of this person, we are all interchangeable lookalikes, worth only what we're willing to spend. After an increasingly heated exchange that did nothing to break the impasse, my sister, the gentle, non-confrontational soul that she is, simply replied, "Fine, can I please just have an extra spoon?" "Watch out," I warned sarcastically, "they might charge you for the second spoon." The other owner/manager, a man who had been observing the whole thing unfold, found this an appropriate time to interject, with the most smug and condescending tone he could muster: "Yes, you SHOULD charge for the extra spoon... I would!" My biggest regret is that my 6-year old nephew had to witness this maddening display, and didn't get the ice cream that I had promised him. In fact, I felt so bad that I ended up buying an entire tub of ice cream at the grocery store for him and my other nephews. And guess what we discovered, to no-one's surprise? The difference in "cost" between two scoops in a single cone and two scoops split into two cones was just a matter of a few nickels - go figure. read more

Perfect spot to stop on the drive up to Tofino. The mini-golf course is way cooler thank anything in Metro Vancouver for sure. The bumper boats are way more fun than you would think, but bring a change of clothes. This place is pretty hilarious on summer nights...a lot of teenage dates happening. Very Grease. The whole place has a retro, good-clean-fun feel to it that's kitschy in a good way. read more

Terrible such a rude man and woman who are the manager's. They couldn't care less for people or families. We we're booked into the rv park missed our 5.30 sailing from horseshoe bay due to a bad accident on highway 1 so had to catch a later ferry which left us late getting to our campsite. they wouldn't wait for us and closed the gate at 11.30, we arrived at 11.40 with 4 tiered kids ( one of my children has special needs) they refused to answer our calls on the emergency contact number we had called from ferry and notified them that we would be late. We ended up going across the road to the 24 hour McDonald's spoke to the lovely manager, and told her what had happened she then said we we're welcome to park in their car park. We went back in the morning and they were so rude and said they we're still charging us for the night that we had spent in McDonald's Car park. Long story short we left so very upset. Maybe everything happens for a reason and ended up in a lovely campsite called Cedar Grove what a difference in people such a lovely friendly campsite so welcoming. Absolutely would never recommend Paradise RV park- thanks to very rude management. If I had a choice it would be NO stars. read more

Easily my favourite mini golf in BC. Way better than Castle Fun Park in Abby. Great two courses, I think the treasure island (left) is slightly better if you were to play just one. Bumper boats is a fun little side show and with 2 games and bumper for $16 it's an inexpensive few hours of fun! read more

A really, really great place to stay. We pull a 35ft 5th wheel and had no problem pulling in. Space is quiet and easy to get to. Private beach access and great views from pretty much any site you get (We stayed in #20). The only reason this gets 4 stars is because the women's showers weren't that great, more of a mist than anything. The guys said that their shower was one of the best they ever had, like a firehose. Mini golf rocks and you get a free round with each night you stay. Great owners. Great people. Make it a stop! read more

So many rules. Made us throw out a 1/2 finished coffee because we didn't buy it there. Messed up our group numbers and over paid for 3 rounds of mini golf and they wouldn't refund us immediately after paying and before starting to play - pointing to the sign that says "no refunds. No exceptions.". There is literally at least one sign on every hole of the course with rules of dos and don'ts... our favorites being "no swinging putters"... how do you actually putt without swinging your club? And the sign that said "obey the signs"... kinda funny but also a little ridiculous. Don't try to escape as there is barb wire fence around the place. If you have money to burn and are able to laugh at tightly wound people then give it a go lol. read more

If you want to stay here than be ready for the nastiest managers we have ever experienced in an rv park. When you pull into register you block cars using the mini golf course. Don't even think of opening the gate in the park to get out of the way before registering. You will get a tongue lashing for doing so. We made a reservation for a pull through and they had given it to someone else. When backing in we slightly drove on the grass on the other side of the road and again received a tongue lashing. We were told by some people staying in the park that they don't like trailers so beware. Parry's RV Park in the area is the place to stay in Parksville!! read more

One star because I can't give a resounding 0. Disgraceful customer service from management when trying to buy ice cream - our extended family of 12 was essentially accused of trying to rip them off by asking for a couple of extra cups (that we were happy to pay for) to share ice creams between a 6-year old and two 4-year olds. This after spending a fair amount on their boats and arcade. Oh, and did I mention they mistook one of us Asians for another as they accused us of trying to rip them off? Such a pity because this place has this great 90's vibe. Yeah, spend your money elsewhere please unless management decides to change. read more

Mini Golf doesnt get any better! This place is super clean, super fun and great entertainment for your money! I took the kids and we did the Bumper Boats and they have a fun games area where you can win tickets for prizes. We had so much fun that we had to go back the next day. They also have a Motel and an RV Park that is right beside the Parksville Bay. We wish we had stayed there, next time for sure. This place will always be on our list of things to do when we visit Vancouver Island! Thanks Paradise, we will be back! read more

Ok, so normally I would not post a rant, but tonight it needs to be done. Paradise Mini Golf in Parksville, brutal experience. The kids and I went there at 8:30, I had checked their website which states summer hours till 10. After getting there we are told we couldn't play because they are short staffed and are closing at 9, fall hours, their fall hours are actually written as 7/8, so even that is not right.I said I had checked etc, so the young girl let us on at full price till 9, needless to say it was speed golf. When we were leaving I spoke to the 2 owners that were there, they were horrible. I showed them the 2 places it said it was open till 10. They told me I should have phoned or driven by, no apology, just pure attitude with me. The man then said I could have stayed out there till 9:30, which the young girl had said only till 9, while the woman said, once again I should have phoned, clusterf*#k . It was the worst customer service ever. They are short staffed for a reason, because if they speak to a customer like garbage then I can only imagine what they treat their staff like. I left there angry and will never go back. I can not understand why these 2 owners could not have hung around to manage the place so myself and the few others could actually enjoy the course. I am sure I am leaving out more of their jerk comments but I am rattled. read more
