Calling and checking on prices, The Getaway was the first that appeared to be interested in working with me and patiently explained they didn't do little (we were a party of five) fishing boats anymore. We ended up getting a new Tritoon that could probably hold a dozen persons, no problem. Secured our fishing licenses and found the rental location where a young man was waiting with a side-by-side, willing to haul our gear down to the dock. Checking in was smooth and easy, instructions were given, and directions and ideas shared on the best areas to fish. Well, the fishing wasn't great, although we changed location a few times, and we hoped to stop at a dockside restaurant, so returned the boat a bit early so we wouldn't go over our allotted time. The Tritoon performed beautifully (hair trigger on the throttle), powerful motors, shade, pockets for storage. They were right--the Triton was very stable, waves no problem. Expected to pay for gas in addition to quoted price but apparently overlooked or forgot about the cleaning fee. The young man hauled our gear back up the hill. Would love to return with a larger party and really have some fun.

Only 1/6 speakers worked and we had a hard time getting it started a few different times. For over $700 for the day, I guess I was just expecting a boat that was fully functional / working. The mate, Tim, took so many good photos of myself and my family. He was super friendly and joked around with my family to make sure they were comfortable. The captain had my mother fly twice to make sure our weight was distributed enough to make the ride safe for me and my son, so she was stoked! The boat ride in was super fun too! The people that worked here were super reasonable laid back people and they allowed us to only rent them for two hours and give the office a call if we wanted to rent them for longer. We ended up doing 2 hours then called back for 2 more and one more time for one more hour lol. They were not very strict and they didn't care about how long we had them out.. They gave us a map of where we were allowed to go, they fitted us for life vests and quickly showed us how to do what we're supposed to do on the jetskis and sent us on our way. These JetSki's were in great shape and super fast (turbo-d ones) and super responsive! Almost impossible to flip. This was honestly the time of my life out on the water we got to stop at restaurants with docks on them and we went swimming and just speeding around having so much fun!!! A wonderful experience thanks to WFO watercraft rentals!!! If I ever came back to the Ozarks this is where I would get a boat rental or JetSki next time!!

Filled it up on the way back for about $100. Had the time of our lives and at 6:00 when we pulled back in, they were waiting for us! Our vacation to Osage Beach was less than a week away and wanted to take a pontoon with a lily pad out for a few hours, now that we were sure rain wasn't in the forecast. We called Dirty Duck (as online rentals aren't a thing) and secured an outdated pontoon for the following week, for a reasonable price. We were told to arrive 15 or so minutes early to fill out paperwork and get the rundown on our boat-- so like good Midwesterners we did that, plus five minutes to spare. Wellllll, they were short staffed and we ended up getting on our boat 20+ minutes LATER than promised. (So, yes, we waited a total of 35+ minutes...) And while I know boat rental businesses can't be super flexible, because they rent their boats out generally in three different time slots-- morning, afternoon, evening-- I was kind of disheartened that we got no refund (even if it was just they'd give us a few gallons of gas free when we came back). In any case, the boat did the job. The staff was friendly. Price seemed appropriate. I did like that they filled the boat there, vs us having to spend our time doing it ourselves prior to arriving back. We had fun! But ultimately, I happened upon Dirty Duck Boat Rental on accident-- so next time I'll call the boat rental spot I had intended.
