This was our first dolphin/sunset cruise and we had a good time. Our captains were fun and had lots of stories and knowledge about the area. We had to drive quite a ways in order to find the dolphins, and we didn't see many up close, but dolphin sightings are not 100% guaranteed. The weather was not cooperating so we weren't able to see a sunset, but overall, it was a fun experience. read more

Overall: A great option for dolphin cruises and sunset cruises alike! The good: Our 2-man crew was informative, fun, and courteous throughout the entire trip. And, best of all, we saw plenty of dolphins! (I think they advertise a 98% chance to see them?) I was expecting to spot some maybe off in the distance or just passing by, but there was plenty to see and they were up close by the boat. It was great that the trip also consisted of cruising around the entire area and giving us a great sunset, instead of just focusing on the dolphins. 30-45 minutes of dolphins was great, but I'm glad they mixed it up. Also, for $20 a person, it was a great deal! The not-so-good: Not much! Just wish it was BYOB ;), and that the area to check in was a little more defined. read more

They have a bar and corn hole while you wait to board. Family Monday saved $5 per person. A family of four (2 adults and 2 kids was $70). Captain J was an awesome captain. Christian an extremely knowledgeable guide. We went on the sunset cruise. It was beautiful. We saw many things and learned about the area. The boat is clean, the people were great. Super cheesy. I guess it's ok for the old folks and little kids but even my 4 year old was done after 20 minutes...2 hours is way too long. Saw dolphins within the first 30 minutes and then they take you on a "cruise" around to see absolutely nothing interesting...duck hunting lookouts and a lighthouse from a mile away. They don't mention it but bring a towel or your bathing suit because the people in the front half of the boat will get soaked. The boats are packed full so it's uncomfortable and there's no where to move if you don't want to get wet. Big waste of 2 hours for me! read more

First of all, it is an awesome boat ride all over the sounds and bays of the Outer Banks. You get 2 hours of awesome scenery and yes you will see Dolphins frolicking in their playground left and right, pretty up close. The BEST place to go on a dolphin cruise! Excellent boat, padded seats, with cup holders, and a bathroom if needed (I would recommend using the restroom beforehand anyway.) We went on the 3:30 tour, which lasts about 2 hours. You can bring a small cooler with drinks and snacks. The captain and tour guide are both locals and very knowledgeable of the area. You are able to move around the boat as needed to see the dolphin. Many time slots available throughout the day, but call early in the day and week to reserve your spot. We saw 3-4 pods of dolphin and were able to watch them play for a while. Bring some cash to tip the crew because they are that remarkable. Will definitely take another tour again! read more

Not following Dare County Covid regulations at all. No masks, no social distancing. Filthy, small, packed dirty pontoon boat with water all over the bottom. I had called prior to making my reservation to inquire about all of the above. Was told they operating at 50% capacity and masks required. Stay away. Had a wonderful time and saw plenty of dolphins and ospreys. We took this trip with our 4 and 11 YO boys for something fun to do while down in Kitty Hawk for a week. Small boat that only held about 30 people, including the captain and at least one deck hand. Everything was done safely and because it was a small boat, you were close to the water and the action. The captain told local stories throughout the ride, including some history and plenty of information about the wildlife. The kids had a lot of fun, especially when they got to drive the boat in for several minutes at a time on the way back in. Would recommend and do again if we were in the area. read more

We chose a dolphin cruise as this summer's adventure, because our little 6 year old girl loves dolphins. This tour did not disappoint! Our guide and captain (Christian and Andrew) were very knowledgeable about dolphins and the OBX, and friendly to the children. Christian said he feels major pressure to find dolphins especially when little girls are on board, he said you're a hero or a zero, lol. We saw so many dolphins, too many to count, and not even sure if it was one pod or multiple. It was amazing. At one point my daughter turned around and said "this is the best vacation of my life". Went on a dolphin watching cruise yesterday and have nothing but praise. Saw a bunch of dolphins throughout the cruise. The staff, Andrew and Christopher, were funny and knowledge. Comfortable seats and permitted to bring coolers on the boat. If you sit in the front of the boat be prepared to get wet from the waves. The price was very reasonable, $20 per adult and if you want you can give a tip at the end. Worth every penny. read more

We were scheduled for a Saturday morning dolphin cruise at 10am. They tell you to arrive 30 min early. We were celebrating my birthday and were driving down from VA Beach. Due to Saturday morning traffic, we hit the road early so we can grab breakfast down in Nags Head before the trip. We are pulling into Kitty Hawk at 815 and get a text that 'due to not enough people, we are cancelling the tour. Please call to reschedule or for a refund.' I immediately call and the woman on the phone is not very helpful with dates/times to reschedule. I ask about the afternoon tour as I remember seeing it when booking. I'm told it's fully booked. So they are willing to cancel a morning trip but not make same day accommodations to get us on a same tour that day? I'm giving options to come during the week, which don't work since we work full time. At minimum, they should have known the night before they were cancelling. If you have a fully book evening cruise, you can't take a smaller cruise out in the morning to make it right? Guess they are more worries about their bottom line than ruining people's special day. Ended up taking the refund and won't be rescheduling. Ruined our entire day, which is my birthday, cancelled on 1 hr notice and poor customer service to make it right. Very disappointed read more

The boat was clean, people were friendly on the boat. However, the policy "guaranteed or ride again for free" is a joke. They do NOT just let you ride again, they're too booked to actually schedule you in again during your vacation. Oh and don't think you'll get a refund either. read more

Went on this tour last week and the whole family enjoyed. We were traveling with 2 13 yr old boys, a 73 yr old, a 23 yr old and a mom and Dad. We chose the sunset tour assuming that even if the dolphin watching was not spectacular the scenery was likely to be. It turns out that both were. They took the time to answer questions & even gave a detailed tour of the the surrounding docks. I only have 1 complaints. Had a great time with the family. The captain was a local and he was entertaining with local knowledge and stories about everything we came across. We saw some dolphins that got very close to the boat. He even let the kids take turns driving the boat. They have a bar and little restaurant by the dock and you're allowed to take beverages with you on the boat.
