Our neighbors at the house we rented suggested dolphin watching and recommended Capt. Stuart Wescott and his tour. Wasn't too happy that I had to travel down to Manteo (car travel in the Outer Banks can be murder - worst than the GW bridge in rush hour). Luckily, it wasn't as bad as I had feared. The quaint little town of Manteo was an added bonus. Nice seaport-esque village with nice quaint little stores. As for the cruise itself, you actually sail with Capt Wescott. He was very nice and knowledgeable. Told silly jokes to keep the voyage light hearted. Sold drinks at a very reasonable price. The bathroom was also very convenient and clean. Strangely, this seems to be a selling point compared to their competitors. Saw many dolphins. Very docile and peaceful. Don't expect any flips or spins or twists. This isn't a SeaWorld show. The captain was very patient. Kept us out there a while until everyone had their fill of watching dolphins swim. After the initial excitement of finding and seeing the dolphins, there's only so much more you can watch, at least for me. On the downside, it is a touch expensive for a ferry ride but comparable to everyone else. Overall, a nice alternative If you need a break from the beach to let the sunburn recover.

My family and I met the tiki boat at lynnhaven public boat ramp. Captain Robbie was our guide he greeted everyone with a smile and a lei that was a nice touch. The boat was a 30 by 15 foot pontoon boat wonderfully decorated tiki style with ample comfortable seating no matter where you sit had a great view of the inlet.Learned a lot about the inlet on the cruise over to our first destination lots of bars restaurants and beautiful houses cruising down the river every one waving at us. Tiki boats bring good vibes . We then arrived at the park beach Captain Robbie expertly docked us. Had a swim call and picnic it was so nice pretty much had the place to ourselves. Then back on board to cruise the rest of the inlet. Watched a beautiful sunset! I am really happy with this tiki trip my daughter said it was the highlight of her week. I'm giving this three stars only for the fact that my Mom has been talking about this boat being at the festival all weekend. The Winery is owned by an older couple and they were so sweet, knowledgeable, and helpful. For $15, you get to try 6 wines and you can pick off a diverse menu of sweet or dry white, rose, or reds. It comes with chocolate and goldfish too! AND you get a little souvenir cup. Such a deal!! They have outdoor seating or you can drink inside. They have a few games inside as well. We ended up buying 2 bottles of wine Would love to come back here again when we're back in OBX and if you like to try wine, I highly recommend. Each bottle was about $22.

Boy, am I glad i did!!!!! It was actually quite adorable and inviting inside. Our host, Duncan and his wife, were so friendly!!!! For most of my visit.....I was the only one in the winery. He stood with me and gave me a story about each of the wines. I did a tasting....which included 6 wines and a souvenir wine glass. The wine soooo good!!!! I am typically a white wine gal....but I even tried a few reds here and they were delish!!!! I left with three bottles to bring home to share with my friends!!!!!! I 100% recommend visiting the OBX Winery when in the area!!!!! When back in the area.....I will DEFINITELY be back!!!!!
