Do not order from here. They never send the right order and when you call, they never fix it. Worst of all, they don't own up their mistakes either. This is supposed to be medium spice biryani? I've been to this restaurant multiples times and order the same thing. This is unacceptable read more

Paradise Biryani Pointe - Medium spice chicken biryani - Indian Near Me - Norwood, Massachusetts

Updated review to mention that the food and service are still good. Only complaint is that they have raised the prices but haven't updated online menu for several months! Even after mentioning it on multiple occasions during pickup. Also the Online ordering does not work, so you order over the phone looking at the website Menu and end up paying upto $3 more/item when pickingup, which is ridiculous! read more

The food was good overall. The goat korma was the best imo. The tikka masala sauce was nice but the chicken could have been more tender. The biryani was ok. They forgot one of the dishes we ordered but other than that, the service was fine. The ambiance was nicer than expected. Plenty of seating. There weren't a lot of people dining. Big parking lot, so parking is not an issue. read more

This location is very nicely decorated and a good space for families and friends to have a nice meal together. The servers are friendly and attentive. They are open late which is helpful for people who work late and need to pickup a quick dinner after work. I recommend the spicy cauliflower appetizers and the rice dishes, they've been fantastic every time I order them read more

I am surprised that health department has not closed down this place. There were rats running around in the dining area, so can't even imagine the kitchen. The restroom is filthy, worse than a remote gas station. When the place is a health hazard, there is no point in talking about food. read more

Terrible hair in my delivery. Also not biryani but. Pulao with one piece of chicken. Dahi vada was bitter and the wada was so bad I can use it as my paper weight Sigh, just avoid read more

Paradise is in my husbands regular take out rotation but We ate inside for the first time this week! The restaurant is pretty. I love the Tiled Taj behind the bar and the decorative drapes. Most importantly they were able to and open to making the Malai kofte without tomato! Which means we will be back because it's hard to get Indian food from a restaurant without tomatoes. Other Indian restaurants just say no but the staff made sure to get all the info and were able to accommodate. The food came right out too. We had a really nice time. read more

I ordered from this restaurant for many years now but the last several months there has been a significant less amount of chicken with my dishes and yesterday I had got chicken tiki masala and me and my coworker needed up getting so sick at night and throwing up a lot! read more

Beware: My order of goat curry on Friday night proved terrible. Got food poisoning and ended up in urgent care. Called the restaurant, they gave me owners phone number. He said he would look into it and have not heard back. Nonetheless, posting this so folks are aware. This is a major health risk. Needless to say, they have lost future business from me. read more

I'm obsessed with this place. It's my favorite Indian restaurant. The portions are generous, the food is delicious, the staff are friendly. It's the only place I can seem to find butter paneer. I'm constantly craving it read more

Here is what we had for dinner (good first, bad last). Chilli Baby Corn: Good (the only good dish we had today). Order spicy only if you can handle it. Mild or medium should be good for most people. Deep fried baby corn sautéed with onions, pepper and some special garlicky red hot sauce. Sprite and coke: Not cold enough, but tolerable. Goat Pepper Fry: I like bone in, so I asked the waiter before ordering and he confirmed that it won't be boneless. But my order had at the most TWO bones while remaining 15-20 were boneless pieces. Anyway, the taste was average. Again, order spicy only if you can handle it. Not happy with this dish. Few boneless pieces were extremely chewy. And here's the worst part Paradise SPECIAL Chicken Biryani: I ordered the special chicken biryani because I wanted to have something special. What I got was a disaster. The fried chicken pieces in the biryani were cold. Imagine cold chicken pieces in your biryani. It's not a biryani anymore. If the chef didn't want to cook fresh, he could have used little common sense and microwaved the chicken for a minute. It would still be stale but at least edible. Bad day, bad choice. Never going back here. The waiter was not comfortable with English. I don't judge people by their English speaking skills, but when you are taking orders, you must know how to speak or at least understand the language. He replied in Hindi couple of times and I thought he would be more comfortable with Hindi. But apparently he was not interested. I asked him the difference between 2 goat appetizers and he said "same"! ‍ A left a decent tip and I am giving 2 stars even after this sad review. It's only because the baby corn dish is rare in this area and it was good. But not going back to this place ever again. Will live without baby corn. Sorry I am changing it to 1 star. There were flies in the restaurant. read more

Not a particular welcoming place. The atmosphere didn't feel right. The Chicken Curry I ordered was okay. It was quite spicy even though I asked for mild. The water they served was warm. Disappointed I couldn't pay with credit, had to input my debt card pin. read more

This place was slightly better than a 3 star, but I couldn't give it a 4 star. We had the Chicken Gassi and Gongura Lamb Curries. Both came with rice (pictured). Although we asked for medium spicy, the chicken curry was notably more than medium spicy in mine and my wife's opinion. Chicken Gassi is supposed to have a bit of a tamarind flavor. I didn't find that. The lamb dish was more in line with medium spicy. Overall, I didn't find the sauces to be that distinctive in flavor. Portions were about average for what you would find and the rice was included. Not all places do that. I would try this place again and order something different. I'm a big fan of Indian food, I just didn't find this place all that distinctive. read more

Food was great. Went with a large group. All the apps, drinks and mains were great. Spice level was exactly were I wanted it. Spicy, but could taste the food. Prices were good compared to other Indian places read more

Food is good for takeout. The ambiance is like a typical Indian restaurant in the US. There was only one server for whom we felt bad calling repeatedly if we needed something. Some food items taste great, like biryani and appetizers. I will continue to order takeout rather than go for dine-in. read more

This is our go to place for appetizers or main course. Everything taste good, just wish they had more variety for vegetarians like mushrooms, soya etc. service is good as well. Definitely order appetizers from here, it's best in the area. read more

A regular Indian restaurant with a very standard menu. Apart from the biryani, they have pretty average tasting dishes. The place is okay for a quick dinner when you don't want to spend too much but want decent Indian food. Also I find there food little too spicy so would recommend that if you do not enjoy spicy food try food at medium spicy level. Try to avoid ordering noodles or fried rice as I have always had a very disappointing experience. Overall I have eaten here almost 50 times and have found their biryani is good, but other items could be a hit and miss sometimes. I usually buy here when I do not want to decide what to eat and just want quick biryani. read more

Nice ambiance and the prices were great! Some of the best Indian food I've had. Excellent spice so if you aren't a big spice fan ask for less than mild they do it right at paradise. read more

I ordered the Chicken Maas Laal, spicy. Great onion and garlic flavors, and spicy enough to make me sweat a little bit--perfect. We also tried the Paneer Butter Masala, mild. It had an almost sweet flavor, and was a great contrast to the spicier dish. The garlic naan was great, too. I can also recommend the Hyderabadi rice dishes. They have a unique spice blend that I have not found at many other Indian restaurants in the region. read more

The food is delicious and fresh. The food is the best Indian food hands down in Boston metro! The owner is on the premises and is very welcoming and really pushes the envelope when it come to serving the best food. read more

Food: 4.0/5.0 Service: 2.5/5.0 Value: 3.0/5.0 Decor: 3.5/5.0 Overall: 3.5/5.0 Paradise is a chain currently with three locations roughly equidistant from Boston. Above average Indian food (especially for the area) with a very strong biryani/rice offering. Brownie points for serving spicy food that's actually spicy (now there's a thought). The location seems new and may still be seeing some teething issues around service and availability but the food quality is at least on par with the better spots in Boston. Pricing is on the high side but ultimately worth it. read more

We order our food online yesterday on the way got a call that they don't have many mild biryani.... I don't understand why they don't make a bigger portion when many ppl can't handle the spice level? On top of that we got there and food was still not ready which we placed 30 mins earlier!!!! Got home and came to find out 1 biryani is missing .....WOW what a great way to ruin someone's dinner when my guests were looking forward to trying the food. I called the restaurant and asked to speak to the owner the lady said she was the owner told her we are missing a biryani she said you can come pick it up not only we drove 45 mins to pick up the food first now she wanted me to come Back to pick up the missing biryani which they messed up on!!!! Told her NO....we let her know we will be bringing this whole order back and we want our money back as our dinner was ruined owner said she will only credit the missing biryani I even told her not an issue have someone deliver it as it was your mistake stated they can't do that. Then again told her we will bring all the food back as no one was happy with the owner itself spoke to her in nice way she didn't understand then the conversation got heated and as I'm still talking the OWNER hung up on my face WOW GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.....I Was thoroughly NOT impressed with the customer service with this restaurant been going here for years and this is how you treat your customers SUPER RUDE OWNER AND FOOD QUALITY HAS GONE DOWN BIG TIME...!!!!!! Biryani was NOT DELICIOUS at all Felt like we were eating boiled rice not only that the samosas were on another level of boiled peas and potatoes with no flavor for ($14 for 2 order) very horribly made my guests didn't eat and we had to order food again from some where else. This restaurant has lost me and my family as a customer never will be returning to this restaurant. If I could I would give this place a 0......!!!!! read more

We were regular customers of Paradise Biryani Pointe in Cumberland until they close down. The one in Cumberland always surpassed our expectations so we decided to give the one in Norwood a try. I am not sure why such a big difference in the food both in terms of taste and quality. We decided to try Chicken 65, Paradise Chicken Fry, and Chicken Biryani. The Chicken 65 and Paradise Chicken Fry were both overly cooked and dried to a point where I was picking pieces of chicken out of my teeth. The Chicken Biryani has only one piece of Chicken. Besides that the Chicken Biryani was decent. I might give them another try in the future. Hopefully, they can fix whatever is wrong with their kitchen. read more

This place keeps getting better. They've added some bold new items to the menu and they are absolutely delicious (and spicy! The way it should be). If you've not tried egg bhurji, definitely do that. They have perfected this dish which is tough to find in restaurants. If you are a vindaloo fan, you must try this chicken or goat laal Maas. Caution: medium is very spicy and spicy requires big cojones. Also, happens to be on of the lighter dishes on the menu aside from the veggies and kebabs. However, goat Curry is what takes the prize home. Hats off! All of this, I eat with the plain paratha (whole wheat), which is something healthier and more delicious than naan. In short, you just can't wrong here! read more

Our third visit recently. The menu is broad and offers many new items. We are pescatarian, so there is half of the menu we don't look at, but of the non-meat and fish appetizers and entrees there are representative dishes from many of the primary Indian cuisines. We have experimented with the heat. Medium is hot and hot is extraordinary. I like hot, and it still allows for the dish's flavors to come through, but I eat alone. So we do medium at the most. We have had one low-key service experience, but the first and this last one was very attentive. There are more than enough reasons to visit regularly: flavors, choices, and heat range. Add to that: there is always a table and the music and noise level is very low-key. Highly recommend if you like Indian. read more

The flavor of the food is ok but the sauce is very thin and not that much chicken in the chicken Tikka masala. Not very spicy they could use a little more heat read more

I have been here quite a few times so the review was pending a while. The food is delicious! I always order gobi 65 and have never been disappointed. Their garlic naan is very good and so are their vegetarian curries. Be aware that they provide 4 pieces when you order 1 roti or naan which is very filling. My friends were very impressed with chicken lollipop and goat biryani. The prices are a tad on the steeper side, ambience is ok and the place is pretty spacious. Service could be more efficient and friendly. read more

Very sloppy service. The waiter forgets most orders. Brings the main course first and then appetizers later. The veg biryani we ordered took 1 hr to be brought to the table. Each person's order was brought in one by one every 15 mins. If the idea is to eat together, this place is not where you want to dine in. Never coming back. Only saving grace was the food, which was decent. read more

Service was "ok", atmosphere is more like a bar. The worst part is the food. I'm very used to Indian spicey food but these people overdo it big time. It is spicey and hot beyond anyone's tolerance, it wasn't edible. We asked for more rice and they said no! It was weird. Avoid their special biryani and be sure to tell them make it mild. I mean, it was really physically painful eating that stuff! Definitely not a normal level of spices read more

3.5 star!! 4 star for food, 4 star for ambience, 3 star for customer service (improving). After having paid my first visit few weeks back and having not so good experience with the service, we went back again. Not to mention it was a chilly night in boston and my taste buds were craving for a biryani. The service definitely seems to be improving. The owner seems to have taken the feedback about the customer service. I could see they have added more wait staff. The staff was very attentive, checking in with customers all the time. This time we had paradise special chicken biryani and goat sukha. Both were excellent in fact paradise special chicken biryani is a must try. I noticed they opened up the party hall too. Its a section adjacent to the restaurant not interfering with restaurant crowd which is a good sign. Its definitely good for parties. I know from a friend that they held a meet and greet at the party hall when Jayaprakash Narayan was in Boston. I wish they open up the bar area soon. But on a whole i could definitely see an improvement from my previous visit and even the crowd has improved. read more

This place is definitely a 3-star joint. But that doesn't mean it's bad, or plain, or "meh". No, much like India, this is a place of extremes - in this case, a mesmerizing blend of vibrant, wonderful flavors seamlessly interwoven with a cold, unfeeling service experience. Your palate will tingle and your belly will have a glow that only a good spicy and complex meal can bring, but your heart will feel icy to the core. You might even start feeling like it's warmer outside, despite having braved the evening chill to come here. Let the yellows and oranges of the fiery reviews here restore your warmth in knowing you're not alone. All of us that have showed up only to find the "kitchen is closed", or watched our friends eat half their meals before ours arrived, or simply got left hanging on a wish for the sweet release of a "thank you" that never came - we're here for you. Don't let the haters confuse you - the food here is dank, full-stop. I think I've enjoyed everything I have ordered from here. Every dish I've had has been full of herbs, veggies, and whole spices - just delightful. I tend to order my food spicy, and this place delivers with both heat and bold flavors. The saag paneer is very tasty and you can really see the texture of the crushed leaves and spices. There are SO many things on the menu to try, which I guess is true for a lot of Indian restaurants, but the boldness and richness of the dishes I've had make traversing the menu and ordering something random more exciting than usual. I also like the decor, it's more fresh and modern than your average stuffy mom-and-pop hovel. It's just.. ugh. It's the little things that add up. That same saag paneer that I'm so fond of? It was more like saad paneer, because they only gave me like 3 cubes of the good stuff. That amazing menu? Have fun paying $10 for an appetizer plus another $4 per naan. I've experienced all of the service hiccups I've described above. This place could easily be a 4- or 5-star Paradise if they stepped their game up or lowered their prices, but alas, they languish in 3-star Purgatory, and will probably continue to do so until they heed the divine callings on this Yelp page. In short, if you're looking for absolutely scrumptious Indian food, this place is definitely worth trying! But get takeout, or like, meditate before you come here. read more

There service is horrible and table manners are non existent. They had a small banquet hall which we decided to use for a small event and after multiple discussions and assurances when they day came to prepare they were rude, they wouldn't move the furniture, they said insulting things about woman (as there were girls putting up decorations) and said we don't want to be communicating with them and will talk only to a guy. And to top it all after we reconfirmed with them the number of guests one week prior to the event they refuse to give us more than 2 bottles of 2 liter soda read more

Let me start from an overview, which i normally leave for the end. The service was racist. We were pushed the very basic and bland items by the owner "because we're white". The owner made sure we didn't get spicy, so most the food was bland. Missed opportunity! It was decent but we wanted spicy. When we asked for spice, we were brought sriracha, which isn't Indian. We were excited to come but... the owner made it bland. Very sad. The bartender was awesome. read more
