    Butter chicken dried out unfortunately
    Erika V.

I really wanted to like this restaurant. Seems family owned which I try to go to whenever I can. When I arrived no one was in the dining room area and lights were mainly off. I was not sure if they were open based on the atmosphere. Checked the door and it said 9:30am opening and it was 11am. When someone came out they unfortunately did not speak English and did not know what I wanted. I ordered butter chicken. Unfortunately the chicken is completely dried out. Very chewy. I wish it had been a better experience. Maybe they just weren't ready today for customers.

Oooooo one of the best tasting Indian restaurants I've ever had! There was no indoor seating back in April, when I had this, but I definitely savored this meal at home just the same! I got the chicken tikka masala with garlic naan and it was so delicious and creamy, I should've ordered a second order of garlic naan because it was mouthwatering! My boyfriend got the fried rice with chicken pieces and he said he loved it as well. Just letting you know, they make it fresh so you have to wait around 30 minutes for your order but it was worth it! Go grab some Happy Lemon boba or a craft beer around the corner while you wait and you got yourselves a good meal and drink.

The best Indian food in Denver! The people were very nice and attentive. Good food needs time. And I loved it! They gave me extra puff breads to go. :) Definitely will be back! Thank You guys!

Delicious amazing Indian food. Staff is incredible, this place defiantly deserves some recognition. Hole in the wall, great food.

    CRAMPS!

This place needs to be reviewed by the Colorado Health Department. I had take out lunch there yesterday. Nasty. Dirty place. Grease slick running out the front door which is also filthy. If what the customer can see is so unclean, I can't imagine what the kitchen looks like. I ordered the Gobi Aloo, and I spent the evening and night with the worst cramps ever. It was so spicy, I couldn't eat much of it and thank God I didn't. Just the small amount I had made me sick. Honestly, you can't hardly stand in front of the cash register because the play is humid with grease. YUCK. Never again and I will tell all my friends to avoid this place.

The service is a bit slow and its a more seat yourself and then they come to you with menus. So don't awkwardly stand there forever. The ambiance is super bright, and pretty mellow and quiet. My husband and I can never decide what to get so we opted for Chefs Tasting menu. Its $35 per person and everyone at the table has to participate. The soup was okay. It had a nice spicy kick. The kale chatt was interesting and crispy. Honestly I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. Urban Cauliflower had a great flavor, kinda mushy though, but still balancer out. The tandoori chicken was tender and honestly wish it was bigger. The shrimp coconut curry was my least favorite. Just not a good combo for me. Lentils were hearty and had a cumin flavor. Goat and Lamb curry were very similar I could barely pull it apart. The butter chicken was our favorite. Garlic Nann you could eat on its own, Onion Nann always great but needed a dipper. Overall I liked it, but it was pricey for something I didnt love. Great start but onto the next :)

The beer came in an ice cold glass, something you rarely see anymore. The lunch sampler was $15 and came with a great selection of food. I would highly recommend bringing cash for this place for an additional discount. Service was fast, the place was clean, and everyone we talked to was kind. Definitely a place you should come eat at instead of going to the food court.

There's so many dishes to try and everything was fresh and hot. I wish Godavari existed in Texas because man oh man the spicy and flavors of each dish was made like you had went to a family meal! Everything was different flavor profile and it's super authentic! Chicken, goat, paneer, veggies, different curries, different rices, briyani, and so much more! I really enjoyed my meal! This place was packed but we manage to be able to snag a table during rush hour. The thing that I find strange is that they were selling mango lasso drinks kept in a cooler refrigerator display and some other items you can purchase. I wish they would just have that part of the buffet. There seems to be a lot of them and people weren't buying those items because they already paid $$ for the buffet. Do I recommend this place? Yes! If you are in Denver you need to visit this place! Great value and great amount of food! It's a great way to try different authentic indian dishes! Must try and visit! This was a great way to try a little bit of everything. The food was tasty and not overly spicy. We tried the achars and pickles that were a great addition. Chai is part of the buffet too! I will say they heavily push the buffet, making it seem that ordering off the menu will take up to 45 minutes. However, we saw those who ordered from the menu get their food in half that time. Great ambiance, although a little hectic through the buffet!

We came for the Indian fusion foods (amazing) but were introduced to the essence of small business pride with the owner giving a personal touch to all his guests. His story, if he shares it, inspires having a dream and bringing it to fruition from hard work and not compromising. I love establishments like this!!!!! The foodies here are cook to order, teas are made fresh as well! We ordered a variety of appetizers, entrees at various degrees of spicy and every single thing was packed with unique flavor explosions. There will be an entree for anyone's taste. We tried the dessert. The portion sizes were great. We had plenty to take home. You will want to come back to explore more of the menu, there is so much on it. Now to the unexpected! We did not expect that this place would have two restaurants! A morning restaurant, the Early Bird Eatery and then the Monks Indian Fusion Cuisine! Will post pictures of our dinner meal and the breakfast Early Bird Eatery menu since this is under the Monks Yelp. The service was excellent. Expect a dining experience. Do not be in a hurry since this is truly a small business and if you are lucky will likely engage the owner. It was a cozy environment for us and dinner. I expect depending on the time and what restaurant you visit the atmosphere to shift. Definitely support and encourage him and his team! His engagement and care to his menu details, the love for what he is doing reminds me of the small businesses abroad that share their culture in the same way because he has brought such flavor to his menu. It is quite refreshing to experience this at I25 and Dry Creek. If you blink you will miss this. Don't miss it. The prices are reasonable and I can't wait to try the breakfast menu. The dinner sits very well since I am writing this review a couple hours after eating. I plan to review again as well as recommend this place to everyone. I wish Yelp would offer a "pin your fav place on your profile" option because this is the review I want people to see first. Oh, it also has a bar but we enjoyed the drinks on the dinner menu. I will be tracking this place to see what others order as this place gets discovered. It is a pretty new under two years so go support this one day or night. The owner is very conscious about avoiding plastics, from the takeout containers to the in house service ware. I didn't see any melamine plates and even the straws were made of paper.
