We have been coming here for years. It is a quite off the beaten path resort on Oahu. We appreciate the staff that always accommodate us: Marissa, Mgr and staff Ashley and Vanessa. Marissa always goes out of her way to ensure our stay is wonderful. The beds in the cottages were so comfortable. The view from the lobby is spectacular. We enjoyed the coffee, tea, banana bread and fruit for breakfast. The kids loved the pool and kayaks. read more

Paradise Bay Resort Sept 23 - 27, 2026 Very disappointing stay, and after 5 days, I still have not received a response from management regarding my concerns. We stayed four nights expecting a clean, comfortable, properly maintained two-bedroom room at a nice resort. Unfortunately, our experience was very different. Our first room, Room 57, faced a large propane tank, which was very unsettling. A shed directly behind the room was accessed very early in the morning and created noise that woke us. The porch light also did not work, leaving the area extremely dark at night and making it feel unsafe entering and leaving the room after dark. After two days, I requested a room change, which the resort did accommodate. Unfortunately, the second room had its own problems. We found ants in the room, including around areas where we were keeping and eating food. When I reported this, maintenance came in and sprayed a chemical while we were still in the room. We were not told what was sprayed or whether it was safe to remain inside. I had to request Clorox wipes to clean the surfaces where we prepared and ate food. The second room also had an A/C issue. I turned the A/C off for a period of time, and later that evening, when I tried to turn it back on before bed, it would not work. As a result, our final night was extremely uncomfortable because we were unable to properly cool the room. I did not report in the late evening because my daughter was already asleep. When I spoke with customer service - I want to acknowledge that the employees I dealt with were kind and courteous - however, I was repeatedly told my concerns would be passed along to management. No one from management ever contacted me during our stay, or reached out for a follow-up and I have not received a response in 7 days to an email I sent. If you book with this resort the online photos are not what you get! Overall, we experienced an undesirable and potentially unsafe room location, a non-functioning porch light, early-morning noise, ants around our food, chemical spraying while we were occupying the room, and a broken A/C on our final night. For the price we paid, this was not the experience we expected, and the lack of management follow-up has made the situation even more disappointing. read more

Great place to visit if you want a quiet stay away from Honolulu. Location central to other important spots in Hawaii, that offer great sandbar experience. Parking was affordable but limited if you come back to room late. The rooms need updating, bed needs new mattress and bathroom shower deep cleaning. Room service only by request, the plus side they have a laundry room. Our bathroom had very limited counter space, same for kitchenette. The best part was the morning complimentary banana bread. Most staff was very friendly and a few that were not helpful. Amazing view surrounding the resort. read more

Odd experience here. Was INCREDIBLY excited to stay here, and in a few ways this is a great spot. Wonderful location, and great access to watersports like SUP and kayaking. That's where the good ends. The bathroom isn't great, there isn't a light over the shower so it's quite dark in there, plus it wasn't draining well so our showers were turning into baths. Room was pretty nice overall. We signed up for SUP, and it was my girlfriend's first time ever doing it. We expected someone from the resort to be there to show us the ropes and give us some information...there was absolutely nobody. We went searching for people, and the maintenance people didn't really say much of anything. We went into the Kahaluu bay area and I fell off my SUP once and ended up scratching up my leg and foot pretty bad...would have been nice to know the bay was only a few feet deep in some parts, with rocks on the seafloor to avoid. We also signed up for their big Saturday "Paradise Bay Experience Package" out to the reef to snorkel and to the sandbar to walk around. We signed up for a 10 am departure time. They called at 9:50 am to double check we were still going on the experience and I confirmed yes to checking out and yes to the experience. We went upstairs to checkout a few minutes later, and it took us a few minutes to do so because they said they wouldn't trust us to not return our towels and car parking pass after the experience, so we had to grab them RIGHT THEN. Okay fine, we bring those to them and notice from the front desk the boat for the experience literally leaving the dock at 9:58 am...WHY?!? I ask them and they say it was our fault, and we were supposed to be there at the boat 5 minutes early...NOBODY TOLD US THAT! Not when we signed up for the experience, and not in the follow-up email we received about it, which I'll attach below. So then they rush to call the boat captain to say to come back to the dock. You JUST called me 10 minutes prior and I said we were going on the experience, did you not communicate that with the boat staff? Clearly not. We end up jumping on the boat at 9:59 am after it had returned, so after all that hassle we were a minute early. No sorry from anyone, not even any acknowledgement from the boat staff. Long story short, this could easily be a 5-star hotel and experience if the hotel had a completely different staff, filled with people with more compassion, customers service skills, and a greater care for hospitality. read more

Beautiful little resort located on Kaneohe Bay. Each room and cottage at the resort has a kitchen with most everything you need to cook meals during your vacation rather than go out to eat. The resort has a pool, access to kayaks, a snorkel tour (costs extra and is worth it), paddle boards, yoga, and a laundry facility. The employees here are welcoming, hard-working, and respectful. We really appreciated the help we got from Pua during our stay. We were disappointed that management left Pua alone to handle several guests on a night when housekeeping did not do their jobs. You guys need to get on top of housekeeping so guests can have clean towels and sheets, and not rely on your front desk staff to handle everything. Pua is a champ and washed everything for us herself meanwhile still dealing with other guests throughout the night. This is the second time my family and I have stayed here at the resort. The first time we stayed in one of the larger cottages on the bay in 2022, which was spectacular. The second time we stayed here, we were in one of the bottom floor rooms facing the street, which was less spectacular due to the lack of views and fans in the rooms but was still a great deal for the price and we enjoyed the resort amenities. I recommend you guys put fans in these rooms so that it isn't so stuffy, the a/c in the living was great and cooled the place down but it is not ideal to leave your bedroom door open all night due to wanting privacy from other family members. Other than that, the rooms were clean and the spaces much larger and cheaper than any of the resorts you'll find in Waikiki. We will definitely be back as we enjoy the slower pace and more isolated location of this resort on the bay. Plus we had kids with us and they loved their stay too! read more

This resort is actually hidden in a neighborhood. Kind of interesting to see where it was located. Got lost and confused while searching for the property. Finally figured it out and checked in immediately. Our room was ready at 3pm, which was across the street in a separate building. It didn't feel like part of the resort, but we had a view of the ocean. We were greeted by Pua in front desk. So friendly with aloha vibes! She assisted us with all of our needs, which made our stay more enjoyable. We had the two bedrooms suite. Full kitchen to cook your meals saving money from eating out. Our unit didn't feel as cleaned and was outdated. We encountered a few issues, but it was taken care of. Lesley also helped us the next day with the situation we had. So warming without any hesitation to accommodate us. Awesome staff made up for the negatives. The resort property itself was amazing. Floating docks where you can relax overlooking the ocean and mountains. First time experiencing this kind of scenery at a resort. Very unique and different. Kids loved the pool, but could use a little more lighting at night as it was a bit dark. Nice to see the stars while swimming made it so magical. Live music was performed nightly by Danny who was a very talented nice musician. Banana bread, fruits, and coffee were served daily for breakfast. Light but refreshing easily enjoying it in the lobby while you embrace the beauty of scenery. So relaxing best way to start your day. If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience at this property was extremely disappointing. The so-called "beach" featured dirty water and was far from inviting. The rooms were outdated 2 bedroom suite was small no view, with roaches present throughout the space. Several light switches in our room did not work, and there was no hot water during our stay. Housekeeping also refused to provide additional towels when requested. Additionally, I left my slippers outside our room and they were stolen. Most concerning of all, the staff appeared to harass my children simply for playing and enjoying themselves in the pool. I strongly advise families--especially those with young children--to avoid this location. read more

First resort we stayed at on our trip and it was a nice introduction to the Hawaiian culture before we could check into our resort on Waikiki. The resort is very secluded, and is quiet and tranquil. It's nestled within an authentic "lived in" residential neighborhood street so follow your GPS closely. Parking at the resort is tight so have your parking skills at the ready! There's no restaurant on property but you can order DoorDash from local businesses or if you have a car, drive over to the nearby towns for food. They offer yoga, kayaking, and paddle boarding activities as part of the resort fee but make sure you reserve what you want to do as soon as possible. We waited too late to decide what we wanted to do and was not able to take advantage of the resort activities. The room we had was a decent sized 2 king bed suite but was starting to show its age. I personally wasn't a fan of the dark slate tile in the bathroom as it would be hard to clean or know if it actually was. The AC worked wonderfully as did the TV. Our room had a kitchenette in it but other than the coffee maker, we didn't use anything else. The balcony was nice and faced the mountain/tropical landscape. The local birds in the trees in the early morning hours were noisy as well as the wild chickens and roosters but a wonderful way to wake up in Hawaii. I love all animals so they didn't bother me one bit. I enjoyed drinking my morning coffee on the balcony listening to them. Overall, this is a vintage resort that still has charm. The resort staff are very friendly and helpful. They offer complimentary banana bread, fresh whole fruits, coffees and tea in the mornings. I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience at Paradise Bay Resort and with Cheri the manager was so disappointing I feel obligated to warn others. During my stay, I tried multiple times to reach the front desk--both in person and by phone. Not once was anyone available. The front desk was literally locked, and I called over a dozen times throughout my stay without ever speaking to a single staff member. Even basic amenities like getting drinking water were impossible to access. I also requested housekeeping in advance and received no service whatsoever. When I tried to raise these concerns during my stay, there was no one to speak with--and despite multiple follow-up attempts after checking out, I've received no response at all. Very disappointed in Cheri's professionalism. I expected at the very least the services that were advertised: 24/7 reception and housekeeping. Neither are actually included. This wasn't just inconvenient--it was blatantly misleading. Save your money. This place operates more like an unattended rental than a resort. The Saturday excursion out to the snorkeling reef + sandbar is a MUST. Rent out those kayaks! Visit the local beaches or use this resort as a launchpad to places nearby (we went to Toa Luau)! Utilize the accommodations and activities! Eat up the freshly baked banana bread and enjoy that free tropical iced tea! 4) Paradise Bay is family. The lobby is absolutely gorgeous with a breathtaking view but the room was lackluster. Quite old & dated, ceiling and floors were really dusty and gross. When it rained, worms came out of the shower. We saw a cockroach skitter across the living room one night. 3/4 barstools at the table were so wobbly they felt like they were going to break under you. The light in the bathroom mirror didn't work. Overall, the room also felt incredibly musty & smelled. The AC swamp cooler honestly made it worse. They also didn't have real windows -- just glass slats that you could open & close which was nice to let the breeze in but not so nice in terms of noise because you could hear everything right outside. We stayed here during the tropic storm last week and the power was out at the resort from 1pm on Friday to 6pm on Saturday. Resort had no generators or anything so we had to just be in the dark & have no way to charge or phones or anything. They also were not helpful at all with information about the storm. They just forwarded us warnings from the gov and didn't check on us AT ALL. We had to knock on the lobby door which was all closed up to even get a few flash lights. The storm was LOUD & scary, and it truly felt like we were in a shack in the jungle. The area was nice and less touristy which was a plus. Also the banana bread was really good. read more

One of the most uncomfortable and unsafe experiences I've ever had while traveling. I stayed at this property briefly during a trip from California for a family funeral. I arrived with my young daughter and within hours encountered multiple unacceptable issues that forced us to leave the same night: * At the pool, two unsupervised boys were aggressively jumping on my 6-year-old daughter. Despite asking them to stop, they continued. When I reported it to the front desk, their guardian shouted vulgar language about me and my child directly outside our room. * Our room (#64) smelled strongly of fish and mold. Upon inspecting the bed, I found insects in the sheets--absolutely unacceptable. Regardless of pest control's later claim that they weren't bed bugs, the presence of bugs and dirty linens is reason enough to leave. * I did not stay the night. I returned the keys and left the property that same evening with my daughter to find other accommodations--at a higher cost and last minute--because we felt unsafe and uncomfortable. I requested a full refund for all four nights, since we did not stay even one. The hotel only offered a refund for three, dismissing the severity of our experience. Their response lacked empathy and failed to take full accountability. Travelers, especially families with children, should be aware of what could happen here. Horrible customer service. I've stayed at various hotels resorts included and never ever have i had such an issue with getting Doordash deliveries. Absolutely ridiculous never have I paid for a resort who didn't allow deliveries even after the speak to front desk I got sicknon my trip and was traveling alone no means to get medicine and food...so I thought to door dash. My mind is blown this hotel doesn't allow and we're rude about it and aggressive. Maybe they should worry about all the roaches in the room . SMH... never again I'll pay more to stay at Turtle Bay whetlre if I get sick and can't get out of bed I can always order door dash. The GM- Miho- thumbs down she was just as bad and no one catered to me as a guest at this " relaxing resort". The GM had the same attitude as the employee. I'll spend my money else where :) fair warning - go turtle bay:) Which I check and The Turtle Bay- ARitz Carlton Resort ALLOWS DOORDASH. Smh come Paradise Bay get with the times. Staff is extremely professional which I am beginning to learn is an exception rather than a rule here in Hawaii hotels. Rooms are a little thin and I believe my room was under the lobby, so I could hear walking throughout my time in the room, but not a huge issue. Very unique hotel and delicious banana bread in the morning! Super cool cats that live on the property and love pets! Also, they have kayaks to rent! Perfect to get a different view of the bay. My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at Paradise Bay! We loved the quiet location and feeling of the resort. The grounds were beautiful and the view of the mountains across the bay were stunning! Our room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The drive was indeed very steep, but it's not Colorado! Just take it slow, and you'll be fine. And, yes there are roosters and chickens! One hen was aggressively protecting her babies and scared my daughter, but otherwise they were charming. We couldn't hear the roosters from inside our room in the morning. We enjoyed borrowing the kayaks, and the very relaxing yoga class. We rented paddle boards, but a squall blew in as soon as we got out, so we paddled for our lives back to the resort! We had scheduled the boat excursion, but sadly it was cancelled. Based on the other reviews, we weren't sure what we were going to get, but we were pleasantly surprised and would absolutely come back! read more

Stayed for 5 nights for two reasons: wanted to patronized a locally-owned business, and wanted nothing to do with the city/freeway/craziness of Waikiki. Paradise Bay checked those boxes for us. It is on the east side of the island (windward) about 30-40 minutes from either the North Shore or Honolulu. There is in a residential neighborhood with nothing much in walking distance. You will need a car. We were offered yoga but no other excursions/activities as another reviewer mentioned (would have loved to go to the Sandbar!), but kayaks were available. They gave us a list of local resources. My advice: match your expectations. I can't give this a 5 star because it just isn't a 5 star hotel. The good: --the vibe was very chill, very Hawaiian, very aloha. Legit. Not touristy. --the staff were absolutely lovely and accommodating in every way! --It was a true rainforest Hawaiian vibe right down to the rooster waking you up in the morning. --coffee and local banana bread in the lobby in the AM, paradise ice tea in the PM. Much appreciated! --ukulele/singer each evening was lovely --spotless housekeeping and when we arrived there were orchids all over the room and Hawaiian music playing on the TV, adding a little magic. --kayaks were free -- fun to paddle out in the bay! They have SUPs as well. --the pool was lovely. We saw well-maintained barbeques and laundry facilities. --the floating docs were a serene joy -- bring a book and chill. --we had a 1 bed suite and the room was large, with a patio as big as the room. We could have had a party out there! --bed was comfy, shower was great, shampoo/conditioner/coffee was great. --it is well air-conditioned. In Hawaii that is not something you should assume! Things to know going in: --there is no restaurant, and there isn't one anywhere near here. IMO, it is not really a resort for that reason. I expect a resort to be a place where you could never leave if you wanted to, especially for a $38 resort fee. This isn't that place. --the neighborhood is a little shocking. You drive through a residential street where people have multiple cars left all over their yards. It does not have curb appeal and it feels like you are lost, until you arrive. --parking is $15 a night, but because of the way it is built, you are unlikely to get a spot anywhere near your room. --not wheelchair accessible. Tons of stairs and steep inclines. It is built on a hill. We didn't ask for accommodations, so perhaps there are disability units -- we didn't see them. --the furniture in the room was dated -- and was actually outdoor furniture, brought inside. If we had brought one of our kids, they could not have used the couch as a bed, and even sitting on it was uncomfortable for any length of time. --the walls were thin. Our last night we were treated to a raging fight from a couple that checked in next door. Thought we might have to call the police. We could hear every word. Not the resort's fault, but it made us aware of the lack of sound proofing. All in all, I think travelers would be wise to weigh what is important to you. The price isn't cheap. We paid $370.80 a night, plus $38 "resort fee", plus parking and taxes = $408/night. and we could have stayed for much less at a name brand hotel in Honolulu. For reference, Outrigger was $278 and Hilton was $269 for the same time period. We chose not to do that and we don't regret it. Mahalo! read more

We booked 8 night stay at Paradise Bay Resort but could not bare to stay there after 3 nights and ended up checking out early by moving to a different hotel. Details for those who are looking to stay here. On their website this place looks like a beautiful resort in a secluded place with a private view of the surrounding bay and ocean. That is partially true but what they don't tell you are the following: 1. This place isn't really a resort. It is located in residential area with wild roosters all around you. They may seem cute until they start crowing outside your window at 6:50 AM everyday 2. Website photos can be professionally touched up that I understand but they probably chose the best/only room to showcase. Rooms are very dated with the walls paper thin. I was following the entire conversation between a couple next door while taking a morning shower (will get back to shower later) 3. The beds are no more than mattress on box spring and definitely not what you would expect from a resort 4. Closets either don't have doors or the doors fall off the moment you touch them and I had to take photos just to make sure I can show that I didn't break those 5. Other amenities that one would expect to have in a resort or those they advertise in their website technically exist but are so difficult to reserve that they might as well be considered non-existent. We tried to book kayak right away and they were all booked. We later found out there were only a handful of kayaks available for a large "resort" that boasts about its amenities 6. What broke the camel's back and made us check out after 3 nights stay instead of staying there for the full 8 nights was the shower. The hot water tank serving each building is insufficient to provide adequate hot water when more than a couple of people are taking shower. As a result when you take shower the hot water pressure and flow rate were so low that it was hard to have a comfortable hot water shower. We initially thought it was unexpected and requested maintenance work but it didn't change. We then called the phone number on our confirmation email to reach the general manager (or someone in charge) but we were told that "the building is from the 50s and there is nothing we could do. Try not have shower at the same time as others since they also have this problem" The bad attitude we got on the phone was enough to make us book 5 nights of stay with Hilton on Waikiki, where we stayed last time, right after the GM hung up on us 7. When you drop $2400 for a 8 night stay ($208 weekdays, $298 weekends + mandatory "resort fee" + parking fee) you have certain expectations, even in Hawaii where the price maybe jacked up. When we made our reservation months ago we chose this place because of what was shown and sold to us on their website as well as wanting to support smaller businesses instead of big corporations. The experience we had made us regret our decision 8. BTW, our price was for the smallest studio but we were supposedly "upgraded" to a 2 bedroom suite. While checking other reviews across various different sites it seemed a few others got "upgraded" too. I wonder what a studio room actually looks like Different people value things differently. We do not feel we are getting our money's worth at this place and the experience was bad enough for us to cut our scheduled stay short knowing we might not even get a partial refund. If you find what I described above not a big issue for you then you should stay. The view on the floating dock is great and it is away from the busy Waikiki. read more

Absolutely loooove this place!!! My favorite place to stay in Oahu that feels like you've traveled! This is literally a hidden gem!! No hustle and bustle of tourists or Waikiki, we came prepared so didn't have to leave the place for food or anything. We booked to waterfront room which is limited but seriously worth it! Waking up, watching all day, and going to bed watching Kaneohe bay is just breathtaking! We were only there for 2 nights but it was relaxing and fun! Went to the pool and jacuzzi multiple times a day, kayaked for a while (free rental!) and I even did 8am yoga (also free) out on one of the floating docks! Bummer that the sandbar boat was broke, we would've loved to experience that, but maybe next time! Staff was friendly, service was great, and rooms were clean and neat! What more could you ask for. Our friends were getting married and booked some rooms for this resort. We booked a couple months ahead of time with the discounted rate. We did make an error and called right away and they were able to adjust our stay and add a pack and play on as well. This was probably the highlight of our stay... We arrived Thursday around 9am. We called around noon to see if there was any possibility of checking in early. No deal which we understand. We drove around with our 7 month old for 2 plus hours and got to the hotel around 220pm. During this time, our friend was able to check into her studio suite. We tried to check in. Our room wasn't going to be ready until 3pm. Okay thats fine. We drove to Foodland to pick up some items and was finally able to check in around 330pm. Our room smelled of rotting fish. We saw that they didn't take out the trash/recycling. Gross. We called multiple times and no one picked up the phone. I had to go the next day to inform the front desk. They did send someone right away and our trash was taken out. Our room was the smallest and what looked like the worst room of the entire place. Granted, I am not sure as I didn't check out every single room but we saw our friends' rooms and our room was the smallest. One of our friend's studio suite was way more spacious than our room, an one bedroom suite. We had no dining room space which the other rooms had. The website was very misleading and our one bedroom suite was the not the footage stated. Pool is only available after 4pm. You can kayak. There are exercise classes. Fitness center with free water. No ice machine. Theres parking. Definitely not handicap friendly here. We plan on further trips to Oahu but will not be staying here again. read more

This was false advertising at its finest. We booked a room through booking.com that never mentioned anything other than studio rooms with pictures of the bay. Our room was at the end of the property on the street overlooking the propane tank. The bedroom window looked at the gardener shed. The t.v. was literally smaller than my computer monitor. We were so far away that the wifi barely worked. no food, no cleaning no nothing. They claimed to us (and the couple that also checked out early in front of us) that we should have read the website better. This is a rip off for $295 per night. Do not book unless you are guaranteed a room on the water with a lanai. They had the audacity to charge an "early check out fee". read more

From suggestions on where to eat to directions to the best nearby snorkeling, these two make you feel right at home. Truly, come as strangers but leave as Ohana. I had a 2 bedroom unit on the street. No view. The bedrooms were the smallest bedrooms I've ever been in, outside international airport sleep rooms. The overhead light in the living room did not turn off & was very bright. The switch was apparently broken. I only realized that at 11 p.m. so no help was available. The AC was in the living room but I had to close the bedroom door because of the light. The room was airless & warm even with the window jalousies open because there was a wooden privacy shutter on the outside if the window that blocked any airflow. The furniture was new but dark & very stark.On the plus side the room was very clean. If you ever plan to stay here make sure you get accommodations with bay views (which is what I had requested so make sure you double check), otherwise it is worse than a cheap roadside motel. I've been to O'ahu twice before this and used Airbnb both times. This time with my fiancé, he decided we'd stay at an actual resort. He really values having immediate access to a pool and hot tub. I rolled my eyes at first, but it turned out to be the best decision. So nice to have a lovely room, balcony, and cool amenities. This sounds strange, but my favorite part was the air conditioning unit in the room. Since it was quite warm outside and there were times during the week we got sick, temperature control was welcome. As for the room itself, I love the extra pull-down bed and the fact that the kitchenette is well-equipped. We didn't use the TV, so no comment there. Our master bed had a fan, roomy closet and drawers, and an extra warm blanket. The bathroom was alright. Not very roomy. As for amenities, I like the availability of coffee at 6am every day. Breakfast was not very impressive. Meatless continential breakfast. Usually I just ate the fresh fruit and oatmeal. The fact that they have free beach blanket and kayak rentals makes up for it, though. Customer service is wonderful, too. My least favorite part about Paradise Bay Resort was the parking situation. Make sure to part in the parallel slots on the street. It's best NOT to park in the front lot. Multiple times there were other vehicles blocking my car, or other guests did a crappy parking job, and I couldn't get out. Super annoying. Overall I like that this doesn't feel like a regular hotel. It's like staying in someone's fancy home with all their cats. Literally. There were so many cats chilling under cars in the front lot. It's one of the most cost-efficient resorts on the island and well worth the money. read more

The location is perfect for my husband and I! We had opted for the mountain view, and we were so blown away from the birds chirping to roosters being our alarm. I loved everything about this location. We opted for the Sandbar excursion, and the guys that took us out there were amazing. The reception....and everyone else there were sweet and amazing. However a huge shout out to Marissa. She definitely was awesome and very accommodating. I'm definitely returning to this place when I revisit. They do serve coffee and snacks in the AM, and the view of the front lobby is beautiful! Overall, everything about this place was perfect. If you're a nature person, this place is for you! read more

We had an amazing time here! We are locals and needed a staycation BADLY! We didn't wanna stay in Waikiki specially with the influx of tourist that just came in from the mainland. We wanted a peaceful far away place and this was the perfect place for us! It's not like the huge resorts in Honolulu but it was perfect for us! We loved having a little one bedroom in one of the cottages.It was small but it was perfect for us. It was clean and modern, had a little kitchenette complete with the basics you need. It was fun exploring the food scene on the windward side. You definitely need a car when you're staying out there. It's really out of the way from things but nothing is too far if you have a car! Next time I would wanna book a Mountain View cottage. We didn't have a view from our room but we were able to Lounge around in the property and enjoy the view! If you're not used to the sounds of nature you'll find it noisy but it wasn't bad for us! The occasional crow in the morning which we are used to already. Wife and I spent about 4 days here and we wish it was longer. Celebrated the wedding of my niece and my wife's birthday. Our two bedroom was right on the water and beautiful to wake up to water front views. This was our first time here and we can't wait to go back, hopefully when all this covid crap is over, because of covid we couldn't use the hot tub or pool but understandable. Wow, highly suggest this over most other accommodations on Oahu. Very unique amazing service, we did the snorkel tour was outstanding. Free use of snorkeling gear for off site, which was an excellent thing, to save money going to other snorkeling spots. We also took advantage of using the sea kayaking, also great. STAY AWAY, this is an advertising SCAM. Nothing looks even close to what they have on their website, NOTHING. We paid $250-$298 per night for a shitty Inn (studio suite). No idea where all those "positive" reviews are coming from, seriously, WTF!? First night we checked in, there are something on our bed, either flower seeds or insect eggs. Yikes! Front desk guy was nice and responsive, switched us to another room. This room looks alright, BUT, not soundproof at all. We ended up hearing every single word of the convos our neighbor room guests had. AND ridiculously steep step into the patio, wonder how many guests tipped over getting to the patio. Second night we switched back to our original room. Fine, we got upgraded from a studio to a 2b. Let's just say, it is old, crappy and definitely not worth $290 even for a 2b suite. Window doesn't close all the way, if someone is walking outside, you hear every single step. Paper towels had stains on them, walls peeling, floor bubbling, closet without doors in one room, the other closet does have doors and it just fell down when I tried to close it. Worst thing is... Showering is impossible!!! The water pressure is extremely low that you might as well just use the sink faucets. When I called the general manager, he commented "we are not a 200-room million-dollar resort," "this is a 1950s building with one single water tank per building," "if 2-3 guests of the same building are using the shower at the same time, this is going to happen, there's nothing we can do about it." I'm not gonna complain if I paid $100 per night and got this. I understand, this is Oahu. But $250-$290 for this shit?! This is purely a scam. Ended up checking out early and paid way less in a nice hotel in Waikiki. 1 star for the nice and welcoming front desk staff, you folks are great. And thanks to the lady who listened and provided us with a refund, you deserve a better job. read more
