They are the only public rifle range in the area, and are very safety conscious. Don't show up with a cavalier and smug attitude and you will be FINE. Better than fine. The range officers are highly experienced and are fountains of wisdom if you can check your ego at the door. I'm learning to shoot a flintlock and they have been nothing but helpful. And lightly chastised me when I forgot a rule. A "Yessir, copy that." and we're back to the shooting line. Highly recommend this place. My only frustration is that their hours/weather closures aren't published somewhere. It's a hour drive to get there... and an hour back because there's some inclement weather somewhere.

Rifle range is 25, 50, 100, and 200 yard target areas. They supply staplers for posting targets. The staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable. They are also very strict on the rules. Which they should be as you are handling firearms. They sell targets, hearing and eye protection and chamber flags. No ammo. There is a drink machine there, but bring your own. Sadly, I am unable to leave a review with 0 stars…read more I attended the 3-night security training course with Security Training Academy and the experience was extremely unprofessional. Within the first portion of the class, the instructor clearly stated that taking pictures of the slides was allowed (no video or audio recording). That guidance directly contradicted what happened on the second night, when an individual who later claimed to be the owner abruptly interrupted the class and aggressively singled me out by name, threatening to remove me for doing exactly what we had been told was permitted. There was no attempt to clarify policy, no professionalism, and no respect shown. The situation escalated unnecessarily and created a hostile learning environment. I deescalated and continued the course, but the damage to the overall experience was already done. To make matters worse, once that individual left, the instructor admitted that we had, in fact, been told photos were allowed and apologized. That inconsistency and lack of leadership speaks volumes. As someone who coordinates trainings for a large security company and was actively evaluating potential providers, I can say this experience alone disqualified this organization from consideration. Consistency, professionalism, and clear communication are basic expectations for any training environment, and this fell short on all three. I would not recommend.

However, for months I have been checking every few days to schedule the 3 included driving sessions online and there has been no availability, save for one 8am session on a school day. I finally called and tried to voice my concern that they had no sessions available only to be cut off and was offered to schedule them over the phone. The earliest sessions are over a month away, but at least I was able to schedule them before school starts. I was grateful to be able to get them scheduled, but the customer service agent I spoke with was very rushed and not willing to confirm the details over the phone. That's a small thing, but after the amount of money we've paid for driving school, having a little patience doesn't seem to be too much to ask.
