Skylar's work is growing on me and I don't know if I will ever go back to my old hairstyle. I went to Hair Extraordinaire after I drove past it on my way home and looked through all the Yelp reviews. Skylar got a particularly nasty one. I asked her if she was putting bleach on my hair and she jumped and said "no it's not bleach. I would never put bleach on your scalp like this!" I hope she doesn't have PTSD from that particular review. I just want to tell her that I received nothing but great compliments from my friends and family. I am of asian origin and my natural hair color was very dark. Can you believe this is achieved with no bleach? I'm very amazed! From the moment you walk in, the space is incredibly peaceful and inviting. You can feel the intention and care in every corner. I had the chance to meet both Shirin and Noushin, the founders of Ladan Spa -- two magical, warm, and grounded women who have come together to offer a space for those on a soul healing journey and seeking holistic ways to heal. Shirin's energy is nurturing and intuitive. The session itself was deeply relaxing and insightful -- I left feeling lighter, more balanced, and connected to myself in a new way. For those unfamiliar, IET (Integrated Energy Therapy) is a gentle hands-on healing method that helps release energetic blocks stored in the body -- often from emotional trauma or stress -- and supports healing on an emotional, physical, and spiritual level. It's amazing for anyone looking to clear stagnant energy and open up to deeper healing. They also offer workshops and other fun holistic events if you're interested in learning more about energy work and exploring your own healing path in community. When I first went to her, I had done laser on my upper lip and my hair had not only grown back but it was thicker than before! I'm so glad I decided to try electrolysis. I was really determined to undo the damage of laser so I kept to it and did electrolysis regularly and after a year, I noticed a HUGE difference. There was still some hair here and there, but they were really thin hair - most of it was permanently gone and I only needed to do some touch-ups here and there once a month. If you're considering having laser, please do your research. Right now, I still see Shima for facials and eyebrow shaping. I'm also thinking of doing my eyebrows by electrolysis (right now she does it by thread and tweezer); but imagine not ever having to worry about shaping your eyebrows! She really is wonderful with eyebrows, as someone said in another review.
