Then she and Jacob asked a lot of questions and listened intently at the consultation appointment. Gunther had issues with aggressiveness when he was scared or unsure, he was very hyper and spastic, and we could tell he just didn't know how to behave as a dog in a loving home. We opted to send Gunther away with Anya for the 4 weeks border/training program. He came back to us a completely different dog! Gunther learned so much with Anya! He is a super obedient dog and overall has really calmed down. No more jumping on people, no more aggression, no more spastic behavior, no more scarfing his food...he is visibly a much happier dog! He now understands what is expected of him and he really wants to please. We are so thankful for Anya and her team. We have since participated in group walks and Anya is so caring of and concerned with all the dogs. We met Jennifer while she was helping foster a cat we wanted to adopt. Several months later when we…read moreadopted our dog and discovered his nearly debilitating separation anxiety, we asked her for help. She came to our home and helped train him in some basic commands (turns out you *can* teach an old dog new tricks), as well as training us to recognize signs of stress in him and helping us cope with his anxiety. My fiancée had never had a dog before, and even when it looked like we would have to return Tank to the rescue, Jennifer reassured us that things just take time. Finally, through a combination of training with Jennifer and some puppy Prozac (also at Jennifer's suggestion), Tank is a happy, healthy, well-adjusted dog. Also, when we adopted a second cat who did NOT get along with the first cat, Jennifer taught us how to give both cats enough reassurance and sense of safety to make them comfortable with each other. As I write this they're playing together and chasing each other up and down the hall (for such small cats they make a LOT of noise). All of this is to say that without Jennifer we would not be the family that we are. She brought us our first cat, helped us rescue and rehabilitate our dog, and made sure our second cat was safe in our home. I brought my 6 year old German Shepherd there, and I was very transparent that she does not like…read morehaving her nails trimmed. I get a call at 11 that she is done and go and pick her up at 12. She brought her out with her feet completely soaked in blood. Quick stop was not stopping the bleeding from her nails and she told me 4 people held her down while she just cut as short as she could with no mind of quicking her. After trying to get the bleeding to stop and failing over and over again,I had to go to the vet next door and use silver nitrate sticks and hydrogen peroxide to stop the bleeding and clean her feet. Every single one of her nails were packed with quick-stop, meaning they cut every single nail too short. My almost brand new car with cloth seats looks like a murder scene. I got ahold of the manager and she told me she could not help me with my car or give me a refund. After being told I need to do better at desensitizing my dog and touch her feet (which I do, she is a rescue and I am able to cut them at home) she said that she is not responsible for my car. She refunded me the tip I gave (because you have to pay before) and the cost of the nail trim. My car will need professional detailing and my dog will never have a good experience with a nail trim ever again. I work in the vet field so I know a few things. Never would I ever hold a dog down and quick every single nail as short as she cut my dogs nails. Never would I send a client home in that state. I am very very angry with no solution made.
