Since my baby was not able to walk - or even stand on her own, they met me at car with a stretcher and carried her as if they were carrying a human baby! When I called, the staff was prompt and scheduled us for later in the day. However, as her distress grew, I called back to see if there was any chance of coming in sooner. The team was so understanding and called me back quickly with an earlier opening. From the moment we arrived, the care was exceptional. They practically met us at the door and took her back immediately--no waiting room stress for a dog in pain. Every single staff member was incredibly friendly, reassuring, and compassionate, which meant the world to me when I was so upset seeing my dog in distress. Dr. Bell was simply fabulous. She thoroughly assessed her condition, performed the necessary tests on the spot, and put together a clear treatment plan with the right medications to get her relief right away. If you are looking for a veterinary team that genuinely cares about both their animal patients and worried pet parents, this is the place. We have been taking Vinny to this vet since I came to Salisbury. Ever since (just about two years…read moreago), we have had good experiences at Winter Place! Never a bad one. Vinny has been brought in for issues all across the scale: a flea problem, ACL issues, anal gland problems, and regular vaccine schedules. Every time, the staff are all on the same page to try to get Vinny to his healthy state. The front desk staff always knock it out of the park-they answer phone calls very quickly, as well as emails. Attentive to emails and send info over to Vinny's home vet on the same day typically. Vet techs are so sweet! They always dote over Vinny and truly care about him. Vets are so thorough. They answer all of my questions (I usually have a lot..). I'm very glad we decided to give Winter Place a call back in fall 2021. They're great!

For those who feel the need to post negative reviews because you had a bit of a wait or because you have to pay for exceptional care, I encourage you to consider the alternatives or spend just one day in their shoes. Dr. MH gave our lab at least another year of life because she took the time to ask questions and research. She spent hours on the phone with us (9 and 10 p.m. at night) to ensure we were comfortable with the options. If you love animals I ask you to please say thank you to the staff at Coastal Veterinary and the other vets, volunteers, etc. who put their heart and soul into what they do. They deserve to be recognized not beat down. I could not do what they do every day and know for sure that our lives and the lives of many of our friends and neighbors are much happier because we know that someone cares. My husband passed away in August and I have to be grateful that he was here with me when we lost our dear Maxwell in April of that year. Dr. Culver has a business called Evergreen and provides in home euthanasia for clients. MAxwell became suddenly very ill in early March, and long story short he was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma on his heart. The day he was diagnosed the ultrasound vet said we had days with him left, perhaps a week. I went home and started reserxhin and found a chinese herbal remedy that stopped bleeding, and it gave us six more weeks with him, but he began to fade for the final time. We called Dr. Culver nd her assist t was so kind and helpful and explined the process to me. We made the appointment on the day I knew it was time and Dr. Culver could not hve been gentler or mor compassionate. MAxwell was sent to the bridge from his own living room with Scott and I bothe holding him in our arms. DR. Culver transported him to the funeral home for his cremation as well as providing the euthanasia service. She is absolutely wonderful!
