Vinny has been brought in for issues all across the scale: a flea problem, ACL issues, anal gland problems, and regular vaccine schedules. Every time, the staff are all on the same page to try to get Vinny to his healthy state. The front desk staff always knock it out of the park-they answer phone calls very quickly, as well as emails. Attentive to emails and send info over to Vinny's home vet on the same day typically. Vet techs are so sweet! They always dote over Vinny and truly care about him. Vets are so thorough. They answer all of my questions (I usually have a lot..). I'm very glad we decided to give Winter Place a call back in fall 2021. They're great!

It's always scary to see a vet that you don't know. I'll be forever grateful we got an appointment for July 3 to see Dr Hudson. She is "the cat whisperer". Dr. Hudson immediately diagnosed my cat with the beginning of an infection at the tooth extraction area and prescribed medication as well as recommended a blood draw to run labs. She was extremely thorough in her diagnosis and handled my cat with care. Before we departed she reviewed all the prescriptions to help hesk my cat and the front desk also reviewed each dosage and protocol to answer any questions. Dr. Hudson phoned us on July 5 to see how my cat was feeling and also review the continued protocol to bring my cat back to health.

They fired the vet, but my cat paid the price in the end. Chris is the most uncaring individual and should not be trusted with any pets well-being. If you don't take your pet there for shots and everything else every year they make you pay the price too. It is my choice who I use for vaccines, not up to them to dictate who gives it or how often. I had proof that my cats had vaccines, but they still didn't believe me! Finally this past weekend, Chris told me I was now a new patient because I hadn't been there in a while. And they weren't accepting new patients. That is the last time my pets suffered the consequences of supporting this poorly managed facility.

Probably great for preventative services My dog had bloody mucus coming from her rectum and had been vomiting on and off for a few days. I dropped her off and they did blood work, gave her fluids and antiemetic, fecal exam, pancreatic test and X-rays. In total everything was a little less than $900. Wish they had called me when my dog was ready instead of me waiting around and finally asking them if they were done. Luckily nothing was found in the samples, blood work or X-ray and my dog was diagnosed with hemorrhagic gastroenteritis from unknown reason. They gave me an antibiotic and probiotics to take home. I had asked for a whole body X-ray to look at the hips while they were at it. They agreed to but ended up only taking the first half of my dogs body.. 3 stars instead of 5 because my dog was prescribed an antibiotic when there was no bacteria/infection found in the sample. When I called back again to ask why my dog had an antibiotic if she had no bacteria found - they said it was to help with her diarrhea... A common side effect of antibiotics is diarrhea (which would make her dehydration worst) and should be used prudently for gastroenteritis caused by a bacterial infection

I called on 4/28 regarding a sick cat, was given an appointment 3 days away as it was the 1st 'available' appointment, mind you that we have paid for a 'wellness plan' with this facility for over 4 years costing $780.00 / year and have used the bare minimum of visits ( physicals, dental visits and vaccinations only). Lotus Vet saved the day!…read more We moved to OCMD and needed a new vet. We only found one who accepted new patients and they took advantage of us. Lotus was friendly, responsive, fit us in so my dog could get his rabies shot. I had to reschedule, then arrived 5 minutes late when I missed my turn, yet they never stopped smiling. My dog had been traumatized from the prior vet and after a growl or two, was put at ease, and it was an easy smooth process. Thank you Lotus Vet!!

They took our dog back, and we had the privilege of meeting with Dr. Valentine. She was caring and professional as she presented a couple options to treat our dog. He had to be sedated and sutured, and even with recovery and everything, we were on the road home two hours later. Each person we dealt with was kind and caring. They provided a very fair and reasonable estimate, and the total bill was on the low end of the estimate.
