Karak Tea
Sohaib L.

Been here a number of times but for some reason the experience was excellent. The bun seems bigger than usual, and karak tea was fresh. The service was great, the owner is super polite to everyone. The place is well decorated, ample of amount of seating. Perfect for breakfast, mid day team, or after dinner dessert. I wish they could make teas without sugar and the tea can be fresh directly from pot with each order. Halal!

If you're looking for something sweet, Pappa Roti delivers. They make fresh coffee buns in house and make tea, coffee, and smoothie drinks as well. The coffee bun made here is essentially a Chinese bao. You can choose from a variety of toppings that add a bit of decadence - honey, Nutella, ice cream, fresh fruit, and more. I was taken back by the pricing which is double what I expected, but at the very least, you get freshly made quality buns to order. You can also order plain coffee buns which are a little more reasonable. The karak tea was my favorite thing here. I was given a sample to try and it instantly reminded me of Hong Kong milk tea but with more nuance from the spices and tea used. Interior is clean, and service was friendly. Pappa Roti is a nice change of pace from other cafes. I just wish prices were more reasonable. Otherwise I'd be here all the time!

Nuts For Nutella

Nice cafe! I've been to this Pappa Roti a few times now, and have always had a great visit. They have a wide range of items from sweet and savory snacks. My most recent visit was a few weeks ago while they had their collab with Kolachi and we ordered quite a few things! From the collab, we ordered the chicken roll, the beef roll, the vegetable samosas, and the chicken puff pastry. Everyone's favorites were the chicken roll and the puff pastry, they weren't too heavy but had great seasoning. You can't really go wrong with any of their signature buns that they have, my favorite being the nuts for nutella or the basca bun. I recommend eating it there or in the car if possible, it tastes best fresh! There's plenty of seating inside, which is nice because it gets busy quickly. The staff were really nice, they gave great reccs. and everything came out quickly.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION: The bun is hot from the oven, and you can watch the creator as he works.

Still yummy. Tried the Mona Lisa bun which I split with my son. Similar to a previous trip, the Mona Lisa starts with the bun, a banana, and strawberries. Then they add vanilla ice cream, chocolate and caramel sauce. They're now serving Kolachi Kitchen stuff here too. I'll try that next time.

Horrible. My latte was cold and asked for a new one to be hotter. She literally just microwaved it. Sorry not willing to pay $7 for a microwaved drinks.

Clean. Bright. Indian pop music faintly playing. Nicely decorated. Service reasonable: got what we wanted. Trained smile. Soft spoken. Caramel Latte was not too sweet. Karak Tea was stronger than chai; not too sweet either. Pappa Roti was lovely: crunchy outside and fluffy, chewy inside. World Cup soccer playing on flatscreen. Overall, fine. Good food and bevs. Service wanting. Atmosphere comfortable.

A large cafe with amazing sweet buns, ice cream, decor, and service. The cafe was extremely clean and the food was prepared fresh.

I come here every Eid for the amazing buns, ice cream, and Karak chai. The service is amazing especially handling the high influx of customers, and there is ample seating for large groups. The Ferrero rocher bun with a side of dark chocolate is my all time favorite. The fluffy and flaky warm bun pairs perfectly with the vanilla ice cream and dark chocolate. The buns themselves are great alone as well with their chai. I love all the locations of Papparoti and am so glad to see more of these opening in Michigan!

Unfamiliar with the area, I stopped in looking for a sweet treat. The service was fast and friendly. The Nutella Bun I had was sweet and savory. It was my first time having something like this and I would definitely recommend.

We love Papa Roti. It has such a wonderful ambiance and is so restful. It is awesome to see groups of people coming from all over to gather around the love of these stuffed buns! The service is always wonderful and we love bringing others here.

Pappa roti means "father of all buns." The first store was established in Malaysia by a mother who was experimenting with roti dough and created this delicious coffee caramel coated salted buttery bun! The Karak tea pairs well with the bun. I only took one star away because the music is way too loud.

I came to the complex for crumbl cookie, but ended up eating a nuts for Nutella instead. Asked for my name when I ordered. The guy that rang me up brought me my fresh OJ. He told me to have a good day when I left and remembered my name too. Very good customer service. Have to remember to get it without the whipped cream. It's a good blend of chewy dome, crunchy hazelnuts, ooey gooey Nutella and sliced bananas. It's a really nice pairing.

This is one of my favorite spots in Rochester! The staff are stripe friendly, service is amazing, and their roti buns are such a unique and cool experience! I love that we have something like this in metro Detroit and wish more people knew of this amazing place! Coffee is also delicious and the interior is really beautiful and welcoming.

I was very disappointed. The cake was not ready as promised. The manager said they were fixing one of the petals. When they came out with the cake it still didn't look right - I was able to see the place where they had to fix the frosting and then the rabbit poof in the middle had huge gaps on one side and the light frosting didn't look like the picture on my app - very thin. I'm sure the cake will taste great but I won't be purchasing any cakes for special gatherings again. Because one of the "petals" of frosting had to be made thicker to fix it the rest of the frosting stripes looked odd. For the amount I paid for the cake it should have looked right and been ready on time.

I see the customer walk away and i presume the casheir was going to call over, instead he comes over to me. He passionately pushed me onto the ground, the feces softening the blow. What the heck! I immediately stand my ground, before he just walks back to the cash register. And calls me over. I dont bring up what just happened. I make my order with no problems, and then he hands my little bundt cake and charged me $3000 dollars just for a little bite, I don't argue. I begin to walk out and leave as he cusses me out, telling me to kill myself. 10/10 will return, thank you ethan.
