Brain Freeze.

Never came down to this side of town but due to the newly renovated Auburn Road, we finally made it! The area is very walkable now with nice sidewalks, benches, and other pretty landmarks. Brain Freeze is all a part of the action. Classic ice cream joint with all the fixings! Plus some savory treats if you need a quick snack. A few picnic tables are in the back of the place along with trees to provide some shade. Parking in the back along with street parking. My only complaint was the wait and the line moving pretty slowly. Great menu though with lots of options including a doggie sundae. I went with a small glacier with blue raspberry - small was a great size and perfect combo of slurpe and ice cream. My husband got a cookies and cream shake and was equally as happy. Our fur child, Goldie loved her pup sundae which included ice cream and a doggie treat! Cute and local ice cream shop and I'm sure many will come visit due to the area being more walkable.

You can see how the whipped cream is hanging off the egde of the cup and ice cream.

We stopped at Brainfreeze randomly one day after not visiting for a few years and now have been coming back often! They offer 52 flavors of soft serve, a few hand dipped flavors, various sundaes, flurries, floats, and more. Not to mention gluten free cones! A huge plus for my celiac family members. I have enjoyed their vanilla and chocolate soft serve but the cake batter had mild flavor and was subpar. However, the black cherry was great and is a favorite of mine! I love the large variety of flavors to pick from on a regular basis. Most recently I tried the brownie delight sundae and the dairy o double o sundae. Both are good! My only issue with the sundaes is how rapidly the ice cream melted. My dairy o double o sundae was already quite melted by the time I received it and the whipped cream was hanging over the edge of the cup. It actually fell off onto the sidewalk taking my cherry with it. I managed to get 2 quick photos before the entire thing fell apart. It was a sticky, melted mess by the time I got to the car. I think this could have been avoided if there was a bigger cup for it to be served in. It was a tasty treat but hard to enjoy. Brainfreeze also offers classic food options such as chicken fingers, hot dogs, soft pretzels, etc. I haven't tried any of the food except for french fries. They are some of the BEST fries available compared to other drive thrus. The fries are very crisp, have good potato flavor, and were not greasy at all. 10/10 on the fries! One important thing to note: the parking. There is mainly only street parking available with a small shared lot next to it. The lot also serves the other businesses in the same strip as Brainfreeze. I believe there is also a very small lot behind the building but I have never used it. We never have issues street parking, but we are not typically going at peak times since we know how busy the evenings can get. The staff is friendly enough, service is fairly quick depending on what you order, and the prices are fair. Overall, I enjoy visiting Brainfreeze when I am in the mood for a treat!

We love their soft serve and other ice cream treats! So many fun soft serve flavors, and everything is really cheap.

The chicken tenders were the best I have ever had at a fast-food-type restaurant, and everything came out fresh and fast! I especially loved the atmosphere. The whole car-themed decor gives the restaurant such a fun, nostalgic feel, which fits perfectly with a Springfield Route 66 adventure. It feels like more than just grabbing a quick bite! You get a little taste of that classic road-trip nostalgia while you eat. Everyone was so friendly and ready to help us out too! My only complaint was that I wish they had thicker, sturdier straws for the malts and milkshakes. I had to wait for mine to melt so I could sip on it finally. I would totally come back to this fun spot anytime I get the chance and definitely recommend giving it a try!

It had lots of yellow mustard that I thoroughly enjoyed, and sliced grilled onions which added a delicate sweetness to every bite. The portions were very generous as well and the food was reasonably priced. They have a large menu of items to suit everyone's appetite. I also love the decor of the place. It was bright and colourful which made the experience so much more fun. If you listen closely when they say your order number, they add a rhyme to the end of it which was quite entertaining.

Hands down the best burgers we have ever encountered in Michigan to date! Only lived here for 3…read moreyears and Burgrz is our weekly go to spot to eat the best Burgers. We are from SoCal and ate In-N-Out Burgers every week... Now Burgrz has taken their place and is 100x better! The Firecracker Beef Burger with Extra Extra Extra Extra Extra Jalapeños is my absolute favorite! I order it weekly, sometimes twice and always paired with their generous portions of Cajun waffle fries with sides of Zak Sauce and ranch! All toppings are customizable and FREE with the exception of bacon and avocado which is to be expected.. The staff is super nice and friendly especially Lena and Danny. The place is always clean! Everyone needs to give Burgrz a go! They are a local Michigan business, not a national chain although with quality food like this they very well could take the nation! They are super affordable compared to other places, roughly $8-9 bucks for a high quality big juicy made to order super filling burger... you just can't beat that, especially these days! If you do want to try the Firecracker Burger you must specify Beef if you want beef, it's on their menu as a Turkey burger. All their burgers are substitutable with Turkey, Beef, or Impossible Vegetarian burgers. I used to be vegan for over a decade until about 4 years ago and Impossible Burgers are by far the best and closest tasting to real beef in my opinion... just sayin for all the vegetarians out there you too must try Burgrz they have something for us all!

The Italian Sausage omelette was loaded with sausage - good flavor and the eggs were expertly prepared. I opted for pancakes as my side. The two large pancakes were excellent, not the gummy variety that is common at coney islands. The texture was very cake-ish and these cakes were just a little bit crispy. My dining companion ordered the half-pound burger and chicken soup. The soups are made in-house, tasty and served appropriately hot on a cold day. The burger was was fresh ground, never frozen. Good beef taste, a bit juicy, but insufficiently seared. It was served with hot, crispy French fries. The dining room and restroom was clean. The service was knowledgeable, swift and attentive. No WFi. Will I return? Yes. I wish I lived closer.

Sigh I really wanted…read moreto like this place. I love a good cheeseburger and I specifically like for the burger to be cooked over and open flame/ grill. Sometimes I'll just call different restaurants to ask how they prepare their burgers and to my surprise this place does cook Their burgers over an open flame ! i've been looking forward to visiting for a couple of weeks and yesterday for my cheat meal I decided it was time . I have a very specific cheeseburger order: cheeseburger and sometimes depending on how big the burgers are, double cheeseburger. I usually do two different types of cheese and in this instance, I got American and Muenster cheese. Please don't ever put a pickle on my burger or on the plate and I always request extra tomatoes. Nothing too complicated. their burgers are about 8 ounces uncooked I believe, served on an onion roll, which I decided to have an open mind too. The burger was supposed to be cooked medium thiugh it definitely came well done- that well done where it's a bit dry and crumbly if you know what I mean,. It came to me with the cheese that they wanted me to have, which was just 2 slices of American. I also requested that my fries not be seasoned. The fries that arrived looked like they were sponsored by lisinopril or some other manufacturer that makes blood pressure medicine, given all the salt that had on them ! I noticed it right away and told the waitress. She ever so politely and kindly offered to take my food back. Whoever was cooking, probably annoyed at me that THEY missed what was on the ticket put a piece of cold cheese on my burger and set the plate in the window . Muenster cheese is typically a yellow slash orange color that's marbled in somewhat with white- not like Colby jack but there's a tint to it. This cheese was not only freezing cold, but it looked shaved as if it was Parmesan that was cut off of a rind. He didn't bother putting it back on the broiler for a second to let my cheese melt, and the cheese never actually melted as the brother had long since been off the flame. The fries came back out, without salt, but they should've been cooked a few minutes longer. I REALLY did not like my meal. I also got a side salad before. It was completely chunky iceberg lettuce, and my batch must've been at the bottom because it was soaking wet. This is one of those diners that is sort of tucked away in a strip mall. The menu looks so promising, but my meal was extremely underwhelming. I also didn't feel the best after I ate it which for a cheeseburger cheat meal was the height of disappointment. Now, the one good thing that the restaurant does have going for it is the two ladies that I interacted with: my waitress, and the woman that rang me up! Those young ladies were smiling from the moment I walked in until the time I left. they greeted me in the most welcoming way, and my waitress was absolutely the picture of kindness and humility. I read the specials on the whiteboard and it seems like there's a thought in someone's head to make the restaurant good but unfortunately, the food was terrible. Also not that I ever wanted a burger on an onion roll, but I will never ever do that again. I'll get it on plain toast before I ever do an Onion roll again. The cold food with the REALLY cold cheese on an overcooked burger with fries that were crinkle cut and not cooked all the way through even though they were oddly as thick as steak fries, sealed the deal that I will never return. A burger, soda and salad ran me $30 to which I gave the super nice waitress a $10 will deserve to. Last time for me.
