I got the chance to try Papo's Lunch Box when their food truck made a dinner stop at the Visconti apartments. The food truck serves breakfast and lunch daily and is available to cater special events. The menu consisted of hamburgers and Latin dishes such as yucca fries, empanadas, cuban sandwiches and tacos. They also have a cute girl selling hot dogs in a separate stand outside their truck
For about $12 I got a chicken quesadilla, cuban sandwich with fries, and a can of coke - not bad prices!
The chicken quesadilla was tasty and filled with tons of ooey gooey cheese, but I wish I had asked for an extra side of sour cream. The cuban sandwich was average, good bread and lots of melty cheese... not the best Cuban I have had, but it was good. The one item on the menu I was not impressed with was the french fries. They were on the limp side so I had to toss them in the oven to crisp them up. I guess they were in a hurry to cook the fries and took them out a little too early?
I'd be curious to try the empanadas on my next visit. read more
