Our first chopped cheese was from a food truck in Orlando at Papi's, and we're originally from the NY Metro area. This was super elevated from what I know a chopped cheese to be. It was amazing! The flavors all meshed really well together. I hope to run into this truck again.

Cuban sandwich - wasn't that great! Needed to be smashed.

Tried the food truck at Ivanhoe and LOVED THE Boujee BURGER!!! If I would've known, I would've ordered 2!!!! The only reason I'm deducting a star from this truck is because the Cuban sandwich wasn't that great. Cuban sandwiches are pressed thin and this one wasn't. Bread seemed baked.

We tried a Colombian food truck during our visit, and it was absolutely amazing. The flavors were authentic, the portions were satisfying, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality you get. It's the perfect destination if you're with a group or just can't decide what you're in the mood for, since everyone can pick something different. Weekends can get very busy, so I recommend going on a weekday evening like we did, the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. They're open daily from 10 AM until 2 AM, which makes it a great late-night option too. Highly recommended if you want great food and lots of choices in one spot!

I really appreciated the diversity of the space it offers a nice variety and feels welcoming. I stopped by during lunch with my daughter, and I must say the people there were absolutely kind and friendly, which made the experience even better. I tried a few different spots and overall was pleased with the options available. One thing that did surprise me was the pricing at the Jamaican restaurant. I ordered a cocoa bread, a patty, and two sodas, and the total came to about twenty five dollars. That price definitely caught me off guard for what was ordered. I was also disappointed with the fried pork from the Haitian restaurant. Unfortunately, it was very dry, hard, and lacked flavor. I would strongly suggest allowing the pork to properly soak in seasoning before frying and being mindful not to overcook it. I wasn't sure if this happened because we were among the first customers and the meat may have been reheated, but as a Haitian who has cooked this dish before, I know exactly how it should taste. That part of the experience was disappointing. Even with that said, I would still return. There's another Haitian restaurant there that I'm willing to try, and I appreciate having a diverse food space nearby that continues to offer new options to explore.

Disney has creatively entered the world of food trucks. The current pair, Namaste Cafe and…read moreSuperstar Catering, represent Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios, respectively. They are currently parked next to Le Cirque du Soleil at Downtown Disney. When I spoke with the crew of chefs and Disney Team Leaders outside of this fledgling venture, they explained that two more trucks would be roaring their engines and rumbling stomachs--one for Magic Kingdom and one for Epcot, in the coming months. Namaste Cafe offers the Tandoori Shrimp, among other Asian and African influenced flavors, that have otherwise created a sight, smell, and "scent"sation at Animal Kingdom and Animal Kingdom Lodge. The shrimp (seven) were perfectly grilled, and spiced with curry. The shrimp were topped with a yogurt sauce and rested on a bed of naan and rice. The dish costed slightly over $11, and was worth the price in every bite. It was raining when we ate our food. There were standing tables. However, due to the rain we ate under a small metal awning by the service window. I heard that the current plan is to move the trucks over by Bongos in DTD. I would hope that there is more seating to come, and covered seating at that, once the next phase of Disney food trucking moves forward. Overall this is an exciting surprise to find at DTD. My trips to Disney always include a visit to Animal Kingdom Lodge to taste the flavors of Boma and Jiko. To have dishes like Tandoori Shrimp come to me while I shop for presents to take home, it was special. I hope that the next two trucks come quickly! (Will there be Turkey legs and Moroccan Shawarma?) This Disney Girl can only dream until then!

The design here is rather simple, with four trucks, a layout of tables (stand up only), and many times at night some live entertainment. Namaste really does a solid job at delivering great Indian flavors, with generous portions. I ordered the butter chicken, and honestly enjoyed every part of it. The sauce was creamy and spiced well, the amount of chicken provided was just right, and the rice was not just an average afterthought. My wife had the Naan and Samosa dipping plate, and it was a great option to sample sauces and get a feel for if you will like this type of food. As for a tip here, you can of course find places to sit around the area on curbs and such. Another option is to walk to the back of the Starbucks, as they have an outdoor seating patio with table and chairs, overlooking the lake and the tethered balloon. Each time I have been there have been open seats there. Overall, for the price, this is a great and quick option if you are out shopping and walking around Disney Springs.

We ordered the fried chicken sandwich, a pork sandwich, and the sampler platter... and not a single thing was left on the table. Everything was genuinely really good--flavorful, filling, and exactly what you want when you're craving solid barbecue and comfort food. The ordering setup is a little different at first. You hop in line and order like a walk-up spot, then they give you a pager and have you grab a table marked "reserved." It sounds chaotic, especially when it's packed, but it actually worked. We found a table pretty quickly, and once we sat down, it shifted into more of a sit-down experience. A server came by with sauces, checked on us, and brought out the food and drinks. It's one of those places that looks busy (because it is), but runs smoothly and delivers good food without the stress. Definitely worth it if you're in the area.
