The baristas in the cafe and the workers in the bookstore are all very pleasant and helpful. There is no tip jar on the counter but they are aloud to accept tips. I find that showing some gratitude makes everyone's experience more delightful.

These books how I understand are books from other stores that didn't quite sell all the copies. So for being used isn't the right term, not one of them have even been read!! The prices are great!!! We're a family of book lovers, so the two of us thoroughly enjoyed exploring its shelves and talking with the owner. As others have noted, she's knowledgeable about the books she has, she's friendly, and she prices her books very reasonably. I was looking for books on WWI for my husband, and she quickly found a newer one I knew he did not yet have. Then she went to her basement and found a vintage book that I thought I recognized from his collection. She suggested that I photograph it, then call her if I wanted her to hold it until we visit again in a couple weeks. I'm definitely taking my husband to this store when we go see our niece in a theater production. And what a wonderful community advocate the owner is! She said she'd be closed on Sunday, but that my niece could leave a poster for Hiram's theater production in the store's mailbox and she would hang it in the door. And here, I haven't even mentioned the wonderful variety of books which are so well organized!

They also take donations here, so it's easy to drop off that bag of items that has been riding around in your car the last few months. It's worth walking around for a bit and seeing what sparks your interests.
