I've picked up some amazing quality stuff at very fair prices over the years and I'm almost always able to find something I don't have that I need to have (even though I own a few thousand records at this point) among the extensive inventory of used rock. Unlike the previous reviewer I find the prices more than reasonable on almost everything and the owner seems like a fun guy with a good sense of humor. Highly recommended and potentially worth the side-trip for anyone traveling between Pittsburgh and Cleveland.

Underdog Records is a small shop but it has a pretty large selection of inventory for its size. The jazz inventory could probably use some work, but I'm guessing there aren't too many customers stopping in looking for that genre. The man who runs it is fairly friendly and will certainly chat with you while you browse, but if I had any bit of advice for him it would be to lower the price of his records. A Muddy Waters pressing from the 1970s might be worth $10-15 if it is in near mint condition, but anything less than that doesn't warrant such a price tag. I know you have to make your money somehow, but I can't figure out who is constantly buying these records at these prices to keep the place in business. My visit wasn't a disappointment at all, I found some interesting additions to my collection while I was there, it just cost me more than it was worth. It's as cool as a vinyl shop can be, but it's not the first place I think to go when I was to buy more wax.

All American Cards and Comics in Boardman is a fantastic extension of the Warren location--think of it less as a carbon copy and more like Warren's little brother with its own distinct charm. Housed in a convenient strip mall, it's a bit more compact, but that actually works in its favor. The layout is streamlined, clean, and incredibly well-organized, making it easy to browse whether you're hunting for back issues, the latest comics, Magic: The Gathering singles, or gaming supplies. While it may not have the same size as the Warren location, this shop holds its own with a focused selection and top-notch customer service. Every major purchase I've made from owner Greg Bartholomew has come from this very store, and the quality has always been outstanding. Most recently, I picked up a pristine copy of All-Star Comics featuring the first appearance of Power Girl. One major highlight is the adjacent gaming annex. Instead of cramming tables into the retail space, they've dedicated a separate area next door for gaming. This keeps the main store open, easy to navigate, and free of clutter--perfect for collectors and casual browsers alike. Whether you're a Magic player looking for rare cards, a comic collector searching for that elusive issue, or just someone who appreciates a well-run local shop, this location is definitely worth a visit. And don't forget--they're always buying Magic cards and comics too, so bring your extras! Greg Bartholomew
