I love this store, as many similar stores went out of business in the last few years. I'm glad we have this one left with caring staff, good selection, although a bit slanted towards female customers. Extremely helpful people work there, they're generally care about their customers living the space with exactly what they needed. Prices vary but in general, you can find something for your budget. If you need to wrap your gift in a beautiful, wrapping paper with matching greeting card to look wow that's the place to go. I hope the store will stay for a long time, and hopefully the fact that they are owned by Barnes & Noble, is helpful to their survival. read more

I'm so glad to have this Paper Source nearby! My parents raised me to always write thank you notes and greeting cards - and it turned out to be a lifelong obsession. This is the first place I come to find beautiful birthday cards, sympathy, and writing sets. I believe there's a buy 4 cards, get the 5th free promo (but don't quote me on that lol). The store always carries a good variety of quality gifts - for wellness, pet parents, or foodies, you name it! Often these will be on the pricier side, but it's worth it to support specialty creators. There's also the "paper cuts" section towards the back with discounted items, where you can also find some out of season or overstock. Nice store and very organized. It's much smaller than their other stores but still has a nice selection with very friendly and helpful staff. I went in specifically for birthday wrapping paper and a card but of course came out with much more! They carry the birthday cake sparkler numbers that are very fun on a birthday cake! Lots of fun Holiday items including some very cute ornaments. Tis the season and I had to buy a Martini ornament for my son, who makes the best martinis! Selective about my stationery, I love their blank (specifically, luxe) flat cards, fold-over cards, and business cards for writing my correspondence and gift tags. Upon hearing that the location at Crystal Court in Costa Mesa no longer exists, I was delighted to discover a location remains in Long Beach. This far smaller store contains a variety of cute-&-fun, gift-y items but very limited in terms of my desired stationery. The staff member that day was appreciatively fun, friendly, positive, energetic, and helpful. Fun stop! read more

Every time we come to 2nd and PCH, this is a must stop. I want every single thing in this store. It's dangerous. The items are pricey but it's a boutique vibe so that's to be expected. 1/15/23 This place is a feast for the eyes! It's in the plaza where Whole Foods is on 2nd & PCH, near Sunglass Hut. It's a small shop that mainly ready made cards, a few books, colored pens & cute gifts. It is tastefully decorated to feature the next lovely holiday, Valentines Day. I was freely browsing, the staff appear ready to assist if I had questions. Since it is at a premium spot, their overhead is pretty high up so prices are reflected as such. I didn't find what I'm looking for, which are packaged folded stock cards & envelopes of assorted colors. They do carry an array of card stock but with the color in one pack. Depending on the design & paper weight, & sizes, the card stock pack of 20 ranged from $7.50-$14.50. When I bought the package from Michael's, a pack of 20 cards WITH envelopes we're about $7, give or take (of course it was on sale). I love bargains! I made 20 different personalized cards! It was a nice visit & it's m first time going into the plaza. I've only gone into Whole Foods once & didn't have time to explore the other stores. I'll be back! read more

Once upon a time, this Faerie Queen visited a lovely store in the 2nd and PCH plaza. This is a great place to find a unique gift, stationery and wrapping paper, and all sorts of decorative pieces. I was in a hurry looking to wrap a last minute gift and they got everything paper related! It's also a very cute store.

Kendra is a real G. I found a pretty cool piece of paper that looked like mulberry (for origami) and asked Kendra if they had any information on what type of paper it was. She couldn't find info on it and brought in someone else to help, but they weren't able to find info as well which is all good. Several minute later, Kendra found me in the store and told me she looked into the other stationary they had and found another identically made one and showed me that they were able to ID it as Lokta paper. The fact that she went trough the trouble to find another one was real nice and I'll be coming back to get some of they Lokta papers in the future c: If anyone into origami needs something similar to mulberry paper, I'd say the lokta papers are pretty much identical (a little bit thicker though). **Rating is for Balloon service only** I love this place for cards. They have a fun card selection and cute gift items. However, do not buy balloons here. I forgot to buy a birthday balloon I needed at the party supply store, so I thought I'd grab one when picking up the birthday card here. They charged me $8 to blow up the balloon (separate from the price of the balloon itself) AND a separate fee for a balloon weight. It was one little Mylar balloon- nothing fancy. I have never been somewhere that charges to fill up a ballon you are buying. When the price to blow up a ballon and attach it to a weight is more than the balloon itself-- never again. Do not get balloons here. read more

Very nice staff. Ordered online, did a "curbside" pickup. Since the shopping center reconfigured and closed part of the entrance, actual curbside isn't in front of the store. The staff was very accommodating. To meet you at the nearest curb they gave directions over the phone and asked for your vehicle description. read more

i stopped in there yesterday with my daughter & my 2 year old grand baby. my grand baby grabbed a latex balloon & put her mouth on it, so I apologized to the girl at the register. most people would say no big deal, but she made me pay $1.05 for the balloon. first she said ¢.50, then had to look up the price in her book & said oh no its $1.05...so i had to stand there while she tried to find the correct price ...it was strange. so i left confused...the end. read more
