(Yeah, I'm kind of weird that way - looking forward to be shopping at a greengrocer.) But seriously, I always find their fruit and vegetable selection to be impeccable - fresh, beautiful and bountiful! On top of that, they have a huge variety of resasonably priced organic products, such as all kinds of dried beans, pasta, cheeses, müslis, spreads, dried fruits etc etc etc. I mean, this store is jam-packed with healthy goodies and you cannot be leaving this store not feeling good about yourself! On top of that, and this is really where they've won me over, the folks working here are always super-friendly. Not the in-your-face, let me chat-you-up-kind-of-friendly, but a friendliness that is subtle, but extremely agreeable to me. In other words: need your five-a-day and wanna support the local business scene at the same time? Broadway Fuiterers are your mates!

I forgot what it is like after years buying fruit and vegs in Tescos or Lidl. They have always seasonal stuff and it is worth a visit: you will love their vegs. I don't want it to close; but Il Piccolo Diavolo is so much more than all of those together. An intimate, unpretentious atmosphere in this family-run place makes it perfect for couples or small groups. It's never too busy - you may need to wait a few minutes on a Friday night but you should get seated. The owners are extremely friendly and I love capping the meal off with a Limoncello. But the food? Get the burrata if they have it on special. Get the mozzarella, antipasta platter or Arancini if not. For the main, look at the menu standards but get them to explain the specials. You won't understand it all but trust me it'll be great. If you can persuade one of your table to get a pizza do it. It won't be as good as Fabrizio's but that's more of a take away thing. Order 500ml of the house wine per couple. Top up with more or beers as you see fit. If you're still full get the panne cotta. This is pasta as it should be. With rich sauces. Lovely service. I just love, love, love this place. I was compelled to write this review when I saw nobody else had bothered to. The next time I go, which will be soon, I will get some photos to add to the review.

I opted for this stand in Camden Market for my first experience. They were offering free samples as I walked by, which I accepted already knowing that this was the destination I traveled to the market to try! The pasta is freshly made and cooked to order. It's really cool seeing it getting tossed in the wheel/rind. There were several amazing sounding topping options, but I opted for the classic style. The flavors were rich, the pasta texture was perfect, and everything tasted fantastic! Very happy with my choice!

I got the crispy pancetta and really liked it. There are additional toppings on the side you can add yourself, like grated cheese, chili oil, and minced garlic. These definitely add more flavor and I think it's worth adding one or more of them. I added cheese and garlic to mine. The pasta was very tasty and nicely sauced although it wasn't especially cheesy, at least to me. I think it just gets a mild cheese flavor from the cheese wheel but it's not going to be as cheesy as a mac and cheese, for example. It has a nice balance of flavor that lends itself to any of the topping options.

The 'cheese maturing cellar' stocks every cheese you could possibly imagine and stores them at various levels of smelliness depending on your own personal tastes. It is truly a homage to fromage! For the sweet tooth's out there La Fromagerie also has a sizeable selection of cakes and pastries. By the shop window there are a couple of tables which are perfect for sitting down with a cup of tea and choosing one of these delicious treats to nibble on. Or if you're feeling extra extravagant then try one of their Valrhona hot chocolates- though beware, these are only for true chocoholics and pack a a fairly bitter punch. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for a really high quality deli. The food isn't cheap but the quality is fantastic.

What I love about this shop is that the staff is helpful and friendly and offers lots of suggestions when you are buying cheese, Caroline really knows her stuff. Whenever I go into the shop I feel a bit overwhelmed because I'm never exactly sure what I want, I love that I can tell them what I like and they have several selections instantly in mind. When I say that La Fromagerie is more than a cheese shop it means they sell other things. You can pick up a dessert or order a cappuccino. They even have a few tables to sit and enjoy a drink and if you love the smell of cheese you will certainly enjoy that. The shop isn't very big and it doesn't take many people before it starts to feel crowded. Despite that, it's a warm environment and I don't mind wiggling around a few folks as I happily exit the shop with my purchases.
