This little grill is located in a Mobile Station/Convenience Store. This is strictly a take out…read morespot where you can view their offerings cafeteria style. There is plenty of parking available to the left side of the store. I ordered the Ox Tail plate which comes with rice, pigeon peas, shredded cabbage, and sweet plantains. I also tried the Cod Fritter. The order was complete in around 10 minutes since all that was required was to place the already cooked items in a take out container. The Ox Tail was excellent - falling off the bone tender with a lot of flavor. As always with this dish, there are small bones as well as the large ones, and there will be some small area of gristle, so some caution is required as you eat. The rice, peas, cabbage mixture and the plantains were all very good, though a bit under seasoned for my tastes - some salt and a bit of hot sauce cured that up quickly. I didn't care for the well sized fritter, there was no flavor and it was rather greasy. The cost was $18, and while there was a lot of food (take out container was packed full), most of it was the rice, peas, etc. The ox tail was not overly abundant. The service was great, pleasant and efficient. I will come back to try the Goat Curry, Jerk Chicken, and the Fish Stew. Ambiance - 2 (as you would expect) Food - 4 Service - 4.5 Value - 3

First off, please hire some staff! One waitress to serve a near full dining room was ridiculous…read more Food is pretty good but the heat relies solely on the heavy handed dust rub. Almost like how horror movies go for cheesy jump scares to get a reaction while avoiding writing and suspense. I personally am not a fan on the heavy reliance of the dusting for flavor. But I do see the appeal and I hope their service picks up for those who want to try it for their first time!

Good spot for a simple, straightforward meal. My coworkers and I checked this spot out yesterday…read more(Tuesday) right around noon. It was not too crowded, one or two other parties, and we sat at a 4-top by the entrance. I didn't realize this place is literally next door/shared back hallway to Small Batch! This side is a long narrow hallway and has a very limited menu - just chicken (breast, tenders, wings) or sandwiches with a few sides. We had a couple wings and couple sandwich orders as well as some collard greens and mac and cheese. The food came out pretty fast and was still steaming hot. I ordered my wings very hot (didn't have it in me to attempt the hellfire challenge but maybe one day). They had a great kick and the greens and mac made for a very hearty meal. I only finished one of the 3 wings (these arent tiny BWW wings). The mac was super thick and cheesy and the greens had a good flavor too. My colleagues enjoyed their plates as well. Being in downtown, it's a little tough to find parking but theres a deck nearby. Also looks like they have some pretty wild milkshakes available. No room for dessert yesterday but another reason to come back! @azfitfoodfun

Ray Ray's is a small chicken chain of restaurants in North Carolina. They have 3 locations total,…read moreMocksville,, Randalman and Asheboro. The restaurant is open and bright with tall windows along the front and sides. A very nice change from the cloned box chain restaurant buildings these days. They have a drive thru and dine in with lots of booths surrounding the perimeter of the inside and some tables in the center. They also have a small outdoor seating area. It's not covered though so it will be a seasonal option. The inside has a large counter that looks like it could be a bar area but it was empty and looked unfinished. We ordered at the counter where a friendly cashier helped us decide on what sauces to choose. Since it was our first time here we wanted to try a variety of items. I ordered three sliders and my husband got a tender combo. Our food came out really quickly and it was super hot. The fries were seasoned well too. No one likes unseasoned fries. One of the first things we noticed was how small the tenders were. I would have expected a larger tender for the price honestly. The flavor was delicious and we loved the different sauces they had. The spicy peach sauce was one of my favorites as well as the honey mustard. The pretzel bites we got as a side were ok. I'd probably skip them next time though. Overall we had a great experience at Ray Rays. I'd go there again for sure. Next time I'll have to try one of their sandwiches or bowls I think.

Not only are the portions beyond generous, but the food is DELICIOUS. There are not many chicken sandwiches out there that can rival chick-fil-a, but.... I might have to put Ray Ray's on top. As someone who usually hates crinkle cut fries, they are done right here. Seasoned to perfection and crisp on the edges! Also, so many fries included that I couldn't even finish them all in one sitting. The chicken itself is so juicy, crispy, and full of flavor. They also have fresh lemonade and orangeade, and yes, it's actually fresh. The lemon flavor packed a punch but in the best way. I am SO excited to have this new addition to Mocksville and I already can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!
