Thanks to a friend of mine , I came here recently to get take out. How has it been 5 years since my last visit?! My friend raved about two things. Chicken jalapeño balls and chicken parmigiana. Omg!!! Neither one disappointed. My only regret is getting the lunch portion; which was still a good amount of food served with bread and a salad. The entree was soooo good that I just wanted more! Next time, I will definitely get the chicken parmigiana for two. The restaurant is kind of small and can seem even smaller when they are busy. I did receive great service. Best Sicilian style Italian restaurant in the city when it comes to flavors. The red sauce is sweet and reminds you of your Maw Maw's recipe. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable. The service was great! Our server, Khyley, was on top of it the whole meal. We started with the mozzarella triangles. It was fresh mozzarella that could pull for miles. We also got the fried green beans, so good. For meals, we got the cheese pizza, all fresh and prepared in house, the crust was fabulous. The spaghetti and meatballs was huge! With a ton of pasta and sauce and there giant meatballs. The pepperoni calzone was very tasty, just like the cheese pizza. The chicken parmigiana was very good and left little to be desired. The lasagna was perfecto. All entrees came with salads and bread. The salad dressings were homemade. My kids went in to ask the staff if they had connoli for their dad's birthday a couple of years ago. They looked them up and down like they had two heads and weren't very nice and snotty. I don't know if it's because they were both wearing black and my daughter had piercings but I don't appreciate them treating my teens like this. We love this place! Great little patio for dining outdoors. They always seem to hire the nicest waitresses and staff. They have daily specials that are a bargain. Everything on the menu is not equal but if you know which dishes to get, you won't be disappointed. So far, our favorite is the baked spaghetti with meat sauce. Baked ziti, baked ravioli, and pizza are all great too. Then they lie and say it'll be ready in a couple minutes and you wait and wait and it's 30+ minutes later before your order is ready. My husband and I always order take out pretty regularly. Most of time the we chicken parmgina and Fettuchini Alfredo. Occasionally he gets Palermo. we've also Chicken Romano its all delicious! We were in the mood for pasta but didn't want any from a chain restaurant so we decided to give this local spot a try. The dining room is closed due to covid 19 precautions. I called in our order for curbside. Once I arrived I called and told them I was there and someone came out immediately. Despite the rain and having to come to my car 3 times the employees remained friendly and accommodating. Our food was extremely hot and the order was correct. Everything tasted great. The staff is nice. The restaurant is a hole in the wall (not necessarily a bad thing). Not a lot of atmosphere. They've been in business for a long time. I tried them for the first time and was not very impressed. The pizza had a nice crust but just looked sloppy. Taste was okay. Toppings okay. Several of the chains are better. I also got the chicken breast meal because they were out of any fish items. It was weak. Thin breasts without a lot of seasoning. Vegetables were also weak. Not a great meal. After struggling to figure out what to feed the family on a Saturday afternoon, everyone agreed to Italian and found this to be the closest to me! I had Sal's before but I recalled them being somewhere else , which as previous comments seems Clay became their spot for the last few years. I ended up ordering the grilled chicken Alfredo pasta on their To Go Family Special. It came with a salad and warm bread individually wrapped.. The amount of food was more than enough especially for my growing teens. Everyone enjoyed it, and have to say there was no leftover. The food was good sort of the homey taste if it was cooked at home. Maybe just a tad bland for me but fixed that with some red pepper to my liking. Nothing really screamed to be out of this world, but I have to say the ranch tasted delicious which almost seemed to taste homemade and if it was "kudos" to them!
