Then, in order to get my military discount, I separately ordered a Patti Melt, Fries and drink. When I got home my burger was just lukewarm and my fries were "cold", while my wife's Patti Melt and fries were still hot. I had to nuke my fries for 30 seconds...they got hot ....but! I thought I got the end of a batch of fries that had been setting under the lamp while my wifes fries were a fresh batch! This was the first time I had ever gotten cold fries from Freddy's! The service was hometown kindness. Highly recommend to everyone passing through, or going back for another visit.

I'm definitely more a fan of their breakfasts, but on my most recent visit my mom wanted to come by for lunch. It wasn't too crowded and everything was fresh. The only negative is some of the small touches which others familiar with this chain would expect. So while they brought our food to the table, they did not bring the condiment tray with napkins so I had to go back and grab some myself. Not a major deal breaker, but just one of those things that does set the TX chain apart from the bigger chains.

I ordered at Restaurant 1176 in Pineville, LA through the drive thru at 10:47 a.m. I was told to pull up and wait. The order was delivered in about 10 minutes. As I was next door to Walmart, my next errand, I just left and parked at Walmart's. I then opened the bag to retrieve the biscuit. After making sure I wasn't going to get a cheese surprise, I took a bite. It was so dry I opened up the biscuit to check it out. The white egg was scorched brown on both sides, and the sausage patty had no moister at all. I was so disgusted, I through the rest of the $5.64 (highest price of all the other fast foods in the Alexandria/Pineville area) biscuit out of my window. AND ON TOP OF THAT CHARGED ME 50 CENTS FOR A SMALL CUP OF WATER FROM THE TAP! In comparison, Wendy's has two biscuit sausages for $3.00 and their biscuit, egg cheese & bacon or sausage is only $3.97 and the cup of water is free! I'm 75 years old and never felt so ripped off in my life.

I got the special of the day which was baked chicken with rice and gravy and two sides. They guy serving was super sweet to explain to me the ordering process and I had a great conversation with the woman in line before me who comes every week for the Wednesday special. For my sides, I chose the greens and mashed potatoes. Even though I got two starches, it was worth it because the mashed potatoes and gravy were worth having as a main dish! I loved the greens, too, especially since they had all the hot sauce and peppers and vinegar choices you could want. The chicken was fork tender and I left nothing on the plate. I love that they provide each guest a little wrapped package of cornbread and iced cake of the day, too. I will definitely be stopping at Pamela's any time I'm in town.
