The sauce had a hint of pineapple with enough spice to keep me interested. My husband was shocked that I'd even try them and said the chef must've known I was gonna be a hard sell. The Italian Sandwich was simply right. The ratio of meat and veggies was second to none and the bread was fresh. I'm glad I remembered to take a picture before it was gone! The bacon cheeseburger pizza made my husband very happy. The dough was spot on and the toppings were cooked to accent the dough. It was the topic of conversation on the way home:). They were also out of green beans and mac and cheese. On top of that, I had received an email offering 10 free wings with a $15 purchase. The KFC app showed an option to add the wings, but the discount would not apply. I tried calling the store, but the phone message said the mobile customer I reached was unavailable. My son and daughter-in-law showed the coupon to the employees, but were told it was a "third-party coupon" and that the store couldn't do anything about it. They even heard employees muttering about the situation to one another. I asked for a manager to contact me. He refused to give me his name. Instead of helping resolve the issue, he told me there was nothing he could do because the app was basically like Grubhub and had nothing to do with the store. I sent him a screenshot showing the offer directly in the KFC app, and he became argumentative and yelled at me, accusing me of wanting more wings than I had ordered and paid for. He eventually said he would give us the 10 wings, but we didn't receive them at all. Unfortunately, the problems continued once we actually got the food home. We were still missing two sides. My son's meal was missing a piece of chicken, and my daughter-in-law's popcorn chicken was so hard it was barely edible. I ordered 12 wings. Eight of those were simply put in the box when the order arrived, and the other four were cooked fresh. All of the wings were extremely tiny. I understand the size of the chicken isn't necessarily the restaurant's fault, but I have honestly never seen wings that small. Even the packaging was a problem. The bottoms of several boxes fell apart as we took the food out of the bag, causing us to lose food. I will give the manager credit for one thing: before my son and daughter-in-law left, he did apologize and explained that his father has cancer and that he was having a bad day. I genuinely sympathize with that. Everyone has bad days, and I can understand that dealing with a sick parent can be incredibly difficult. However, having a bad day is not an excuse for treating a customer poorly. I have worked in customer service for most of my life, and I understand that sometimes you have to put your personal circumstances aside and still treat customers with courtesy and respect. Mistakes happen. Restaurants run out of items, orders get missed, apps have problems, and employees have difficult days. What matters is how those situations are handled. In this case, we spent nearly $100 and drove 30 minutes for an order that was still incomplete, received food that was not up to standard, lost food because the packaging fell apart, and had a very unpleasant interaction with management. The apology was appreciated, but unfortunately it came after an experience that was far more frustrating than it ever needed to be. Very disappointing experience. I will think twice before spending my money at this location again.
