The manager Daniel was awesome!! He took the time to explain the specials for what best fit what we needed to order. The pizza was by far the best I had in months. David brought my food out to the car where I was waiting and brought plates, napkins and crushed red pepper. Just amazed how well those two worked together. Great job guys!! read more

i'm only leaving a one star cause you can't leave zeros, I can't really comment as to the quality of the food because they delivered it to the wrong house. They then suggested that we to the house to pick up our order after it had already been at somebody's house for over 20 minutes. When we tried to contact the restaurant was placed on hold for 25 minutes. My husband drove to the restaurant and we were told we were refunded the money for our order.. Worst customer service ever, no way to contact the actual franchise, terminal hold for over 20 minutes to try to talk to someone at the restaurant itself. Also cannot contact DoorDash who they contracted delivery to to get a refund either. read more

My boy Papa Johns you let me down. I consider papa Johns on the higher end of fast food pizza. Its my go to when i want to "splurge" and not go out. But this location let me down a lot. Delivery: my order took an hour and 18 minutes from order to being in my arms. Alamogordo is a pretty small town. You can be from one of town to the other in less than 20 mins. But I don't see how it takes a full hour plus to get my pie. Service: the person who delivered my pizza apologized for the super super long time to receive the pizza, but didn't seem sincere. It was more of just a matter of formality. Additionally I tipped ahead of time, but I wish I hadn't done that. I called the location and was never able to get hold of anyone. I just had constant ringing. At one point I thought I did get through but it was automatically hung up. If they had just notified me that they where going to be late it would be fine. But service was lacking. Food: by the time I got my pizza, it was Luke warm. The cheese had hardened as well as the crust. Normally the quality is exceptional especially for a fast food pizza but this one was definitely lacking. The topping spread didn't seem throughly mixed. For a "speciality" pizza it didn't feel special at all. Overall I will take my order to another a pizza joint in town. One that values communication with the customer and delivers a quality product. read more

Ordered here yesterday and I considered myself a loyal customer...... even after enduring horrible deliveries post my original review of my previous experience. Well today I'm forced to change my review in hopes to caution others. I order the same pizza every single time I order (sometimes twice a week)!! which to me is simple, a pepperoni and cheese pizza with mushrooms, occasionally accompanied with an order of Buffalo Hot style wings......this particular order came with free cheese sticks due to rewards (which prove that I was a regular. The delivery driver that came to my home was unprofessional, nosey (looking inside of my house instead of looking me in the eye) and just weird. She did not have any of the sauces in the order that I specifically ordered, the pizza was extremely doughy and not even cut properly (I literally cut the pizza with my own pizza cutter) and the wings were soft and mushy even after requesting that they be well done. I would just like to add that after the recent Papa John scandals and public decline of the company I remained a true customer and supported what I at one time enjoyed. But, now I can honestly say that I will NEVER VISIT PAPA JOHNS EVER AGAIN! read more

At my daughters request we ordered Papa Johns for the first time in ages. I was pleasantly surprised by the both the speedy service and the fact that our order was correct. They gave me a ten minute pick up window and our pizza must have been finished at the very beginning of that because our pizza was a little "stale" by the time we picked it up. I have ordered from this Papa Johns for delivery a dozen times. They have recently changed their delivery location range (which is their prerogative). We only live 4.2 miles away. When I called to ask about it because it seems strange because their reason was, "they do not deliver to the other side of 54&MLK anymore". Very disappointed, called to order our favorite pizza and was told they don't sell it anymore. I ask is anyone there knew how to make it and was told that they did, but they wouldn't. Don't ask me why, but I have more fond memories of eating Papa John's at this location than any other. Maybe it was because I was young, but their pizza was awesome and loved those sides of banana peppers and garlic dip. But other Papa John's locations? Papa johns has always been my go to place for American pizza but it is becoming apparent that will not be the case in this town. Most of the time the sauces are missing and the other times the pizza is made from what looks like left over pieces. Especially when getting one of the free pizzas you earn from ordering so many pizzas from them. The last 3 free pizzas (mind you we had to order several others to get these free) have been pretty sad with hardly any to no sauce or cheese missing from an entire side. I have to say that more times than not we have been disappointed in what we have gotten from here. Its too bad they are the only Papa Johns in town. If this was my old hometown I would gladly drive 30 minutes across town for another stores pizza! Unfortunately 3 years later and I still cannot say much for this branch location. Last 2 times we've ordered pizza has had no flavor and is under cooked even though we ordered it well done. Took an hour to get our order. Garlic parmesan bread sticks were dry. Several of them had little to no sign of butter much less parmesan. #disappointed read more

I guess there is a reason why i go with Domino's as my default pizza joint. We decided on papa johns instead last nite because I love the garlic sauce. That's probably the only reason when i decide to order from there is to get the garlic sauce. But the pizza is ok nothing special and on this occasion it took over an hour to get our order and it cost over 30 bucks and on top that i got screwed out of an extra garlic sauce that i ordered. So i was less then pleased with my once in a great while decision to order from this store. I'm not likely do do it again for a while. The big cookie that they now offer was quite good tho. But I'm not gonna order high priced average pizza just to get a cookie and some garlic sauce. maybe next time will be better. if there is a next time. read more

We order from them often, and have only been disappointed a few times. They deliver to us out further than I figured they would, and are always friendly. Great food, good service, and the rewards rock. I wish they weren't quite as expensive for simple orders, but it's worth it. Definitely the best of the three major pizza chains in town. read more

We usually go to the other pizza spots but we decided to give papa johns a try tonight and I'm glad we did!! In my opinion this is the best pizza place in town! The crust, sauce, toppings all of it was just so good! And the price is very reasonable. We found our new favorite pizza spot. read more

Pretty good, though it took some time to get the help to understand that I wanted a pizza WITHOUT one of the standard toppings. It shouldn't be hard; just leave it out, and add more of something else that comes with it. read more
