Training at Panza's Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gym is truly an unparalleled experience. Learning under the guidance of Panza, a world-class champion and one of the most accomplished fighters in the world, is an honor in itself. His technical mastery, strategic insight, and dedication to the art make every class not only educational but inspiring. Equally remarkable is the partnership between Panza and his wife, Camila. Together, they cultivate a welcoming, supportive, and professional environment that fosters both personal growth and team spirit. Their leadership ensures that the gym operates not just as a training facility, but as a family. The atmosphere at the gym feels like family. Regardless of your experience level, you are treated with respect and inclusivity. Beginners and seasoned practitioners alike are welcomed immediately, and no one is ever made to feel like a stranger. In every aspect, from technique to culture, Panza's gym exemplifies excellence. Training here is more than just developing your skills--it's being part of a community led by world-class athletes who genuinely care about each student's journey. I highly recommend this gym to anyone interested in learning BJJ despite of experience level. I feel very fortunate to be able to call this gym my home gym and Panza my head coach. read more

This jiu jitsu gym is great, and has high level coaching. Lots of upper belts in the adult classes. Coach Panza and his wife Camila run the kids class and make all the kids feel welcomed. My son has been going there since he was 3 years old (3 years ago) and he loves going there. They offer kids classes 5 days a week! We really appreciate everything they have done for our son. read more

I have been training with Panza since he 1st arrived in the U.S. He is a thoughtful, dedicated instructor who has both a knack and a passion for teaching. He has created a great training environment with really good people. There's a great sense of camaraderie on the mats and we're all trying to make each other better. Come check it out! read more

If you're looking for a place where you can get choked out and make new friends, this is it! My husband goes to this Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gym, and every time he comes home he's both exhausted and grinning like he just survived a superhero training montage. The adult class is a great mix -- dads, moms, sons, beginners, black belts -- all rolling around and somehow still laughing together. It's honestly the most wholesome fight club I've ever heard of. Everyone there really wants to help each other get better, and the comradery is amazing. Highly recommend... just don't ask my husband to "show you a move" at home unless you want to regret it. read more

We drive down from Palos Verdes and it's worth every minute. My daughter started in the kids program and I ended up signing up for the adult classes myself -- now we're both hooked. Panza and Camilla are incredible with the kids. My daughter has gained so much confidence and discipline since she started, and she actually looks forward to going. I came in with some previous experience and a recommendation from my old professor, so I knew what to look for in a gym -- and this is it. Panza breaks everything down so it clicks, and the upper belts are always willing to help. If you're in PV and thinking about trying jiu-jitsu for yourself or your kids, just go. read more

Our boys have never been more excited to learn and grow than they are in this jiu-jitsu class. Coach Panza's expertise is remarkable; he balances technical skill with a genuine warmth that makes discipline feel encouraging, not harsh. Every class is thoughtfully designed to teach self-defense while cultivating focus, confidence, and character. Coach Camila has a natural gift with my youngest, making him feel seen, supported, and motivated. What truly sets this place apart is the family-owned, family-centered culture. It is clear that values, respect, and connection matter just as much as the training. We feel so fortunate to be part of a community where our boys can thrive physically, mentally, and emotionally. read more

Panza Jiu Jitsu is an absolute treasure for kids jiu jitsu, creating a welcoming, family like atmosphere that feels like a second home! The two instructors (Coach Panza and Coach Camilla) are phenomenal, incredibly warm, patient, and uplifting, always cheering the kids on like they're their own. Their expertise in jiu jitsu is evident, delivering techniques with such clarity and passion that kids can't help but get excited to learn. They weave in fun games and purposeful warm ups that keep the energy high and prep the kids for success while making every moment enjoyable. The classes strike a great balance, laid back enough to feel fun and inclusive, yet structured to build real skills, confidence, and respect. I've also heard amazing things about their adult jiu jitsu program, which sounds just as phenomenal! Wholeheartedly recommend this academy to every parent! read more

I'm a 10+ year BJJ practitioner, and Panza BJJ is one of the best gyms I've been fortunate enough to be a part of. Whether you're casually getting into bjj, or want to compete at the highest levels - this is the place to go if you're in the Southern LA area. Panza and the team are warm, welcoming, and family oriented, not to mention he has the accolades to match his top notch instruction. My daughters and husband began their Jiu Jitsu journey at Panza Jiu Jitsu. It started with wanting to teach our girls self-defense. They have been attending for over a year, and in that time, our girls learned how to defend themselves. They gained confidence in their abilities, increased their self-esteem, developed discipline for the sport, and continued to learn with each lesson. My husband joined the adult group wanting to try something new. Panza Jiu Jitsu completely transformed his body by challenging him in ways running, hiking, surfing, mountain biking, paddling, etc... never did. It challenges him physically and mentally. Panza and Camilla are excellent instructors. The people who participate in the classes are welcoming, skilled, and supportive. No matter what level of experience a person brings to the table, they will benefit from joining this studio. This is a wonderful studio. read more

Sorry to say this place is awful. Terrible owners, and quite frankly not worth your time nor money. There are so many options in the south bay, you're better off going somewhere else. For example, the parking lot is quite small and street parking is always full, you have to find parking by the library just to drop off your kid, or yourself. I recommend looking for other places to go. read more

First off I would like to thank Panza and his wife for such an amazing experience every time we enter our classes. They are so welcoming and caring people and are extremely knowledgeable with all their techniques. They will walk you through each one with kindness and respect. We have both of our kids in classes. They have been coming here for about 7 months. Our seven and 5 year old have picked up so many skills. I could not have asked for a better gym then Panza. The Adult class is wonderful as well. I'm a newbie but they have made each experience exciting and leaves me with wanting to learn more. :) Bonus- *Your first class is free* read more
