You drive your car to the back of the shop where there are 2 lanes. A mechanic will tell you which lane to go to and will ask you a series of questions. There is a car scent (choose a scent from lemon, vanilla, clean car, or baby powder), vacuum, windshield wash, and 14-point check included for no extra charge! I sat in the waiting room for maybe 10 minutes before my name was called saying they were done! Very impressed with how quickly they were able to complete everything and my car feels and smells good as new! The staff were extremely professional and did not recommend unnecessary extras. Will definitely be back!

I had them repair 2 different vehicles and the work was done on time and done well. I recently brought in my Audi A8 for spark plugs and oil Change. I usually take it to the dealership because it's a twin turbo V8 and not an easy car to work on. American exceeded my expectations and did a better job than the dealership with follow up and attention to detail. They used OEM parts and the car was ready for pick up same day. These guys are professional car guys and it shows. They earned my business. I will recommend them to everyone that asks. Nice folks , clean shop and professional attention. Prices are reasonable and you don't get the up sell you would get at a dealership. I recommend making an appointment because they are a busy shop. I called a tow car truck and sent them to pick it up and they refused to give me my vehicle telling me that I needed to purchase a battery from them and pay $149 for more diagnostics and the installation of the battery... Since I had clearly told them I did not want the battery and have text messages to the same I explained to them that I wanted them to release my car to the tow truck which they refused... They threatened to add additional charges of a month storage and additional fees for diagnostics and Nonsense and I told them I wanted them to remove their batteries since I had never told them to put it in and give the vehicle to the tow truck which they refused... I then told them that I would be calling the police for theft of the vehicle and the Better Business Bureau because what they were doing was stealing my car and blackmailing me... I am hoping that they will reconsider but I think that they see me as a female that they can lie and overcharge and unfortunately I have documentation to the contrary and I will be seeing them in court... They have a limited time to fix this problem because I feel three days is plenty and if they want to charge me all these additional fees so that they can get my car from me and sell it then they will have to fight me for it...

They didn't even give me a price quote over the phone. When I called them the next day to complain, the owner literally laughed at me over the phone because I said that a jumpstart should cost a lot less than 85 bucks..the audacity of that guy!! After mentioning to him that his prices are highway robbery and in bad faith, especially in a small town, and with the bad economy, and the short distance of the ride, he told me he didn't care..not at all while he continued to laugh like a hyena over the phone. Can you believe that?! So, I drove over there to his place and had it out with him. At first, he actually had the same crappy attitude as he did on the phone with this blank, careless and cavalier look on his face; no consideration or gratefulness in having customers give him a living. It was absolutely SHOCKING to witness in my 54 years of living! He looked even proud about his attitude which showed me that he gets away with this behavior only because HE CAN...because he knows there are few places in this small town to get towing services, so he shamefully takes advantage of people. Whatever happened to the brotherhood of man? Anyway, I stood up to him and told him in my New Jersey way that he was greedy, flippant in his attitude and practicing in bad faith. When I told him he shouldn't laugh at a customer, he said he didn't care, as if he was doing auto work just for the fun of it and not robbing people blind. I did not roll over and take his crap though. After trying to knock some sense and reason into this guy's head, he finally relented and apologized for laughing, though it came off condescending as he mentioned I should look up the prices for jump starting a car, implying that they all cost around 85 dollars. It took me not even a minute to find another place that charges 50 bucks for the same service. Folks, do not even think of going to Stew's. That guy will steal you silly and have a smile on his face while doing it. STAY AWAY FROM STEW'S AT ALL COSTS!
