I recommend this place to all my friends. It's where we all go for all our aches and pains. I usually get the acupuncture + acupressure combo treatment. First 45-50 minutes is acupuncture. After needle placement, you're left to relax or sleep (bring your own audio if you want). Last ~10-15 minutes is acupressure massage, which can be painful, but always leaves me feeling better than when I came in. Occasionally, the Dr. does cupping treatment to boost circulation for a few days beyond acupuncture/acupressure. It's painful, but effective and my marks fade within a few days. He says "no pain, no gain." Dr. is adept at diagnosing muscle/joint issues usually by watching you walk in the door and just a few questions. Sometimes the injury/cause is not where you think, but the Dr. knows. My elderly mom and several of her friends also go there and also recommend this place widely. For those of us who work on computers all day, this is a great place to get some remedy for repetitive stress and too much sitting. Also, I referred my elderly Iranian lady neighbor who had been suffering with lower back/leg/hip pain and reduced mobility for several months. I purchased two sessions each time, one $75 includes both acupuncture and acupressure, the other one $45 which is 30 min massage. Each time after the first session of acupuncture they jumped straight into the second session. It seems like they have ate up my acupressure minutes each time. I pointed out the issue several times but every time they replied with vague unclear answers with very defensive tone. Communication is awful. read more

6 years update! He's still great. I changed jobs, moved, increased my commute, more computer time, started lifting weights, using my phone more and more and through all these self inflicted things caused my body lots of issues. I did stop coming for a while but one day when my sciatic was terrible and my back ached and I was all sorts of not feeling well I came back. LIFE SAVER! So lucky to find this place and met Dr. Pan and Dr. Zheng. They are amazing people with excellent skills and knowledge. I had throat pain and lost my voice completely. Having taken some medicines and not seeing any improvement, I was having a really bad headache and muscle tension. Initially walked in just to get a massage hoping to alleviate some of the stress, never tried acupuncture before but at that point, I was more scared of losing my voice for any longer than the needles. After one treatment I could make a sound, and then after two treatments I was able to talk, it is unbelievable how quickly and effectively acupuncture works when done right by the professional. Dr Pan is my favorite doctor. Have You ever watched a professional who's been doing their work for decades and really know their stuff? That's Dr Pan- his hands are as adept as a skilled, born with it, natural healer. He comes from a family of acupuncturists. I was skeptical when I first met him. I was picking up my grandma and he said my face coloring showed I wasn't healthy. I got offended and walked out to wait in the car. It wasn't until my sister highly recommended him that I gave him a try. She had been seeing for seven years and she is in her twenties. He worked wonders for her work injuries. I went for lower back pain that other chiropractors and two other acupuncturists couldn't fix. Thanks to him, each time something is off or hurts- he can fix it. Also, no one massages like him. I've had hundreds of massages in four countries and his. Is. The best. I think it's because he knows the anatomy tendons ligaments and how they should feel. I was very impressed with his sixth sense. He seems to know how to read my body and pointed out my neck was twisting in one direction too much. No idea why.... then I realized later that it was from my photography gigs! Then I started having aches from long commutes and posture issues while working on the computer. Dr pan and Zheng educated me on posture best practices. The doctors are very good about making sure you are comfortable. Despite our language barrier, they seemingly intuitively discerned my symptoms and how to alleviate my discomfort. Cured my 6 year long chronic tension headache! It was a disabling headache that happened at random times at random areas, without any correlatable cause. Half of my waking moments were in severe pain, daily. Before I met Dr. Pan, I tried Stanford Hospital's neurology, did two MRIs (found nothing), and physical therapy. After that I went through 2 chiropractors and 4 acupuncturists, but none really worked. They were about to send me to pain management (aka living on prescription painkillers), but I refused. It dragged on for years. When I was about to give up hope, one of my coworkers recommended massage therapy from Dr. Pan. Initially I didn't know he does acupuncture and didn't expect anything more than temporary relief. But after hearing my story, he was confident that he can solve it and suggested acupuncture. Having nothing to lose (the disabling pain costed me way more than his fees), I asked him to suggest an initial treatment plan without any reservation about cost and time. Though he suggested 2 weeks of intensive treatment every day, given I know how tough my case was, I told him to do whatever he deemed appropriate and not hold back at all (after-all the needles were nothing compared to my headache in the first place) and I won't give up unless I see no changes in 4 weeks. He used nearly all the TCM techniques that I've heard of: acupuncture, heat lamp, massage therapy, cupping, scraping and even moxibustion (艾灸). Nothing seemed to change until the 3rd week (perseverance pays)! The pain intensity didn't go down yet, but the frequency and duration of the pain were noticeably reduced. With the good start, I continued the treatment for a year and the headache was no longer random and the duration and intensity was better than halved. Two years into the treatment, I'm pain free by default like normal people. With the headache now gone, I go there regularly to address minor problems like back/hip muscle pain from working in front of a computer for too long. Pretty much just maintenance. The treatments more than paid for themselves because I was able to make more from my investments without the headache getting in my way. I considered myself lucky that I found Dr. Pan before giving up. I'm speaking as an example of a very tough case. Most people recover much faster than I do, especially if they catch the problems early and start treatment early. He's the go-to person if you ruled out all life-threatening problems from western medicine and the MDs couldn't do much about the pain other than giving you painkillers. Before you go, here are my 3 advice to ensure the best experience and results: 1) Trust him and let him make the calls! You won't be there if you know what to do. Feel free to try something else if you don't see improvements in the time-frame he suggested, but at least give him a chance to try his methods. 2) Don't haggle on the prices (it's pretty much standard). I'd rather pay good money than wasting my time on somebody else giving non-working treatments for free. 3) If you can handle more intense needle sensation, let him know. He'd prefer to have you recover with fewer sessions whenever possible. The less constraints you impose on his treatments, the better bang out of the buck you'll get. These are just basic etiquette when you seek help from a very competent doctor. read more

I'm really dislike needles. I hate them. I went with my fiancé because I had a back injury from ten years ago I work in tech so my neck is messed up. Dr Pan was able to find areas that were hurt which I'd forgotten about. My golf soreness and later a broken wrist were all alleviated with his and Dr Zheng (his wife's) care. It doesn't really hurt- like a small pinch. Not painful like you think it is. You'll relax and take a nap. After each treatment he will do a acupressure massage which is amazing. I love it. I look forward to this the most. He has strong hands and he will work out some of your knots. Zheng and Pan understand English and will get their point across in simple terms. Dr Pan is easy going, confident, always happy, and knows what he's doing. He's honest and wise. I brought one of my best friends, my sister and her boyfriend. We drive over an hour each way from LA. Now I moved to Palm Desert and I have to drive two hours to get there but it's worth it. I've been going to him for two years and I go see him once a month if I can if not more. I've been coming here for a couple years now. I get severe migraines that make it impossible to function. As a desperate last resort after I realized chiropractic care was just relieving me from these migraines temporarily, I decided to give this a try. The result was absolutely life changing. The combination of acupuncture and acupressure can relieve me of a migraine before I leave the premises. They ask ypu how you feel afterward and if my pain is still there, they keep trying until i feel better. Dr. Pan and Dr. Zheng are very professional and have extensive years of practice experience in Acupuncture, massage therapy and traditional Chinese medicine. Both of them are really friendly and patient. I had serious car accident and second wrist injury that the pain and soreness of my joint, neck and shoulders have been really bothering me for a long time. By description and observation, Dr. Pan is so professional that he was able to diagnose my problem and provide proper treatments. My daughter had a little accident when she was about 2 years old. When she turned 4 years old. I found out that her right thumb couldn't stand straight, and it was in a bending position all the time.
