The decision to use K9 Justice Dog Training was easy, (highly recommended by a friend), but leaving…read moremy dog for 4 weeks was hard. I rescued him from a dog shelter, and I worried that he would feel abandoned once again, but after my first 1 on 1 training all my worries were put to rest. Merlin looked truly happy and seemed to really enjoy training with Wes, kind of like a good game of fetch. Watching Wes train Merlin, I could see the bond that was built in just one week. What I observed and loved about my experienced: * This training is filled with love and respect on both sides - dog and trainer. * Wes must love his job. He invests so much time into training each dog. Just like a schoolteacher, it must be a calling and he's not in it for the money. * He took time to explain all my questions and time to train me on how I can do better. I never felt like I was on a time clock. * Wes worked on my dog's individual needs, not just an expected obedience list. * After every session, I left uplifted and optimistic with the feeling that a non-reactive, well-behaved pup was in my future. Previous trainings that I tried, I would often leave the session feeling frustrated close to tears wondering if we would ever get it right. Sending my dog to K9 Justice has been the best decision and well worth every penny. If you are considering hiring a trainer, I highly recommend using K9 Justice.

I didn't have very high expectations because it was just 1 week of training, but boy was I wrong! Wes and Destiny are truly dog whisperers. They taught my pup to walk on a leash, come when called, lay down, stay and "break" -- all in just 1 week! Each day I would pick my pup up after training, they would spend about 10 minutes with me reviewing what they did that day and teaching me how to continue training at home. They are so knowledgeable and genuinely care about your pup. I had no doubt that I was leaving my pup in good hands with them. I will definitely be signing up for training sessions over Thanksgiving and Christmas when I'm in Toccoa.

Over the past year, she has become increasingly more protective and sometimes aggressive toward other dogs, including my extended family's dogs. It was to the point that I was considering rehoming her. It was breaking my heart. I decided to launch a Hail Mary pass and started researching dog trainers in my area who specialize in dog aggression and I stumbled across Joyce. She has been our savior. Emmie is my third healer and I really felt that I understood this breed. I have had several trainers with my other dogs but Joyce completely changed my understanding of dog behavior and training. She dispelled many myths that I believed were true. Today my dog is a different dog. My family is blown away. She rarely shows aggression toward other dogs and she is able to play and interact with other dogs without showing anxiety, fear or aggression. Although she has very strong herding instincts, which can often be misinterpreted as aggression even by her owner , Joyce has taught me how to redirect her. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable, it is obvious that she truly cares about dogs and their well-being. I am truly grateful for the difference that she has made in both of our lives! I will never again consider rehoming Em. I highly recommend Joyce to anyone who needs assistance with training issues. In a perfect world she would be on retainer! I feel very lucky and privileged to have just a little bit of her knowledge and experience.

I saw a bad review from someone else years ago and it triggered me to post this. I was actually a bit mortified by the post as it was the most unprofessional review and so far from the truth. Actually Violet still goes to US Canine for boarding every time we go out of town and I won't take her anywhere else. Violet actually went to another training facility (one I will not name) and she came out worse than when she went in. Violet is a pit bull and as most people are aware pit bulls get a really bad wrap. They just need a little proper training and some TLC (as with any animal) and that's exactly what US Canine did. She actually did have to go through the intense two week training for extreme behavioral issues (trained by Angie) and she came back a completely different dog! I love Violet so much and if it wasn't for US Canine we would have had to give her up. She has become such an important part of my family and I wouldn't have done anything differently. In fact, my next dog will be going there as well and I live 20 miles away! Thank you US Canine (and thanks for letting me review you so I can post a pic of my doggie )

We tried 3 different in-home trainers over a year and saw little to no difference. At one point one of these people even told us our dog would need to be on anxiety medication the rest of his life. Then, one of the agencies suggested we try US Canine before surrendering our pup. Our dog spent 3 weeks at US Canine and came home the loving, respectful, and sweet dog we knew he could be (no medication necessary!). It has now been 8 months and I am so thankful to US Canine for giving us a second chance with our dog! Everyone at US Canine cares about your dog and your family and they make a concerted effort to help you understand the changes you need to make for your dog to be successful. They are always available for questions and concerns so that your success can continue longterm. I now have confidence with my dog and know exactly what to do to redirect him from minor issues and continue his learning. US Canine is THE BEST!
