Fantasic place to stay close to Tavistock, near the Dartmoor/Cornwall, Boarder with Plymouth just…read moredown the road. The B&B consists of the Yellowhammer Barn which has enough room to sleep 8, with a lovely lounge and dinning area, including games and DVDs for those cold wet nights. There is also a self catering part called Dragon Fly Cottage which sleeps 2. I stayed in the B&B for 4 nights and was not disappointed. Breakfast made by hosts Keith or Annie was to die for with freshly sourced products. Annie and Keith had a wealth of knowledge about the community, stuff to see off the beaten track and the best places to eat at. And Rubes the pointer dog was on hand to take you walking down to the lake which ran through the property. The views were fantastic and at the end of the garden, by the water sat a summer house, where i took refuge from the rain. I was told by Keith that on some weekends they have bands playing at the farm in a beautiful decked out barn on the property. So it's worth checking out when you book. I had the best sleep ever with absolutely no noise, massive king-size bed and all the facilities and more, than what a hotel could have offered for way less. All activities where close and I visited Bucklands Abbey which is a Monastery turned home and museum and also Morwellham Quay both well worth seeing if you love history. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes solitude, great views, walking and good food, but also if you enjoy adventure activities, historical towns and beaches this is the place to base yourself I am already planning my next weekend there.

The farm shop leads you to the restaurant and is stacked with local produce - meat, fish, confectionery and fresh fruit and vegetables brought in every morning, to name but a few. Not too pricey either, which is a refreshing change from most farm shops. The restaurant itself is mostly situated in a light and spacious conservatory area. Popular all day with familes, couples and retired couples, the Trevathan is a popular restaurant. They serve the biggest cakes I have ever seen, some triple or even quadrupled layered - coffee and chocolate cake amongst others. A good selection of breakfasts, snacks and lunches too. The cooked breakfast was both tasty and filling. Theres outside seating too, but unfortunately on every day we visited it was bucketing down with rain! Trevathan is also a place where you can pick your own strawberries, gooseberries and raspberries. There's even some motorised tractors and a digger for the children. A great place for families.

Only had cake but we will be trying the hot food during the next week as it looks very tasty.
