We were of course concerned because one of the girls would not have a place to stay until the room was available. Although this could have been an extremely stressful event, the management was doing everything they could to accommodate us. Just as they were looking into a room for one of the girls, the tendant who was suppose to have moved out showed up. Management helped the person pack up their things, moved/carried items out of the apartment and cleaned quickly so that all three girls could move in. The apartment rooms, bathrooms and common area are nice size. The furniture in the living room is a bit worn but we are thankful it is provided. We were surprised to see TV's in each of the bedrooms. The fitness and pool area are very nice! The staff were very friendly and helpful. My husband and I read the previous reviews and asked lots of questions. So far we are pleased and our daughter and her friends are happy and feel safe. The location is close to the police station and also close to Safeway and the University. We would recommend The Grove. I would not recommend living here. The gate doesn't work and hasn't for the years I have been here, there were horrid holes in the parking lot for a WHILE that were only recently fixed, there are always extra, unspecific charges that you have to go through AI to figure out, and much, much more. This isn't a staff issue; they are all sweet. It is a GROVE issue. I repainted upon leaving just to make sure there was no chance at being charged, and now I am facing a $300, unlabeled bill that has been separated into five micro charges (All labeled as "damage"). To get in contact, I called their number to get an itemized list. Was met with their AI Aria, who said I need to email them. I asked for their email. She said she could not provide it as this time. Then, hung up (because you can't leave a voicemail). The funny thing was that I was expecting that because this is the norm. Again, the people there are very kind. The newer maintenance guy was amazing when I had a socket blow out. The owner, or whoever is in charge, has set up a system that only cares about money. Which I understand to an extent, it's a business, but this is something else. IF YOU ARE A STUDENT, BE WARNED
