We don't have Kroger where I live but I'm familiar with them from the Lansing area - this one is massive! I love grocery stores in general so I had fun looking at all the stuff we don't have in Michigan. Plus they have a big cheese counter and a BAR! I've never seen a Kroger with a bar, so that was funny to me. The prices were cheap but it was a Sunday morning so they were not open. I saw they had a sign about trivia and my brother said that people love to hang out there because it's so cheap. We ended up getting a platter of sushi that was in a flag-shaped container for Memorial Day, it was so funny to me and the sushi was actually very good for grocery store sushi.

I think Meijers may be a bit more expensive than Walmart or Krogers but they do have weekly deals and a rewards program called mPerks. You can order stuff online and pickup at the store. There are pickup drive through lanes on the right side of the store. Recently, I ordered an HP printer that was on sale for $89.99. When I drove through the pickup line, the order ended up being $150.49 which was charged to my debit card. That is a negative and I did complain when I filled out an online survey. However, I then received a phone call from Bill A. informing me the printer was on sale when I ordered it but the sale ended when I went to pick it up. He said the sale price still should've been honored, but sometimes that does happen. They refunded the difference and it was credited back to my debit card in a few days. So, I believe they will try to make a mistake right. I go to this store from time to time, and although they occasionally run out of things, I think it is a good store.

I actually started packing but there were so many of them I couldn't access the bag. So while they had their back towards me and I stared at the manager she finally said something which didn't really get them moving. They weren't talking about anything serious and were laughing. Cashier finished packing and apologized! That should have been the manager after she showed by example! Wow! Summary: Lori needs some retraining if she's the manager. Also, deli was fine but the lady helping had issues with slicer. I don't think she has enough strength. I'm sure there are other areas to put her but it took 11 minutes to get 3/4 of ham sliced.
