The first time I went to Panera Brest was amazing! Friendly service, warm atmosphere and fresh pastries. Today that was not the case. Probably the worst dining experience I've had in many years. It's virtually self serve, though to be honest, it was somewhat that way 20 years ago. I placed my order though their order screens were somewhat confusing. It was a hit or miss search for what we wanted to order and many things were sold out. No clear sign or direction as to where to go do what. They weren't busy! After waiting nearly 20 minutes I went up and asked for my drinks. They could find the order for one, but not the other. After watching the staff looking for a ticket, I finally said never mind, just give me a water. After asking again, they got half my food out but we're waiting for my wife's food. By the time hers got out, mine was cold. Once I sat down I checked my receipt an sure enough, I had been charged for the missing drink. I went to ask about it and was told it was self serve. I found no tea so I went back up and was told it was in the fountain machine. I finally found it only to have it dispense water. I went to report that. Mind you my wife had finished her meal and I at my cold meal as well. They said they would go change the box. I said just refund it. I've had better meals and service at McDonald's! Ag least my entire meal comes at at the same time and at the same place. Corporate needs to send a secret shopper in to see just how bad it is. To start off I really like the food I never really considered Panera very often until recently and I'm definitely digging it now LOL I like the sandwiches and they're pretty high quality I would say maybe a tad pricey but at least you're getting something really tasty. The atmosphere of course is very chill which sometimes I'm in the mood for and sometimes I'm not I do prefer a bit more lively atmosphere but other than that this is a great place to chill a bit and the food won't disappoint read more

My daughter and I love to go to Panera Bread. I got really hooked on them while we lived in Nashville, so when given the chance..I stop. We went for lunch today to enjoy some Soup and Smoothies. We both opted for the Creamy Tomato Soup and we both got Smoothies, her the Mango and myself the Strawberry Banana... I love the Panera App also because I can get Points that will reward me with free food and discounts. The store was clean, the staff friendly and I will definitely go back again!!! read more

I don't appreciate being lied to be the manager about the broccoli cheddar soup. I used to come here religiously until I moved and started going to the Marietta one. I stopped here for an early lunch on my way to work and the broccoli cheddar soup was wrong on so many levels (watery, separated, smelled vinegary). Manager told me they "changed it" and got me a new bowl of the same crap when that's not true at all and it was just f**ked up and should've not been served at all. First time I think I've ever gotten a refund for food and it was extremely upsetting. Back to Marietta I go where it's the same d*mn soup it's always been lol smh. read more

I like Panera Bread. This one is right beside the mall. I've had breakfasts and lunches here, both are good. I love the cinnamon rolls, the soups, and the green tea. Many sandwiches are really good too! My husband eats like a teenaged boy, so it is hard for him to find things to eat here, but besides that, it's great! read more

While the counter staff is always friendly, the tables are ALWAYS dirty. I don't eat here often, but every time I do I have to clean something. Today for example, I passed three filthy tables before settling on a fourth that I still had to wipe down myself before eating at. That's gross. And they weren't that busy. Someone needs to be cleaning tables regularly. The coffee station was also a mess. And last Friday I had the WORST latte ever. Please do better. I realize this town has few options. That doesn't mean you get to slack off just because you have somewhat of a monopoly. I always love Panera's french onion soup in the bread bowl. I arrived at 7:30 pm and they were out of bread bowls? Really? Still, the Onion soup was welcome on an unseasonally cool September day. Had a Turkey based Paninni sandwich with the onion soup. After dinner a cafe mocha was a nice touch. note: suprisingly, Panera Bread company seems to be the only place in the Vienna/Parkersburg area of WV where you can get a latte or mocha other than the local McDonalds. Some entrepreneur needs to open up a coffee shop here. read more

I placed a lunch order on the Panera bread website. I never received my food and when I called to ask about it they told me they go through door dash and door dash picked it up so it wasn't their problem anymore. Door dash wouldn't refund me because I didn't pay then I paid Panera bread. They were extremely unhelpful and I'm out $26 dollars including a delivery fee and a tip for my driver and never received any food or any offer to refund me. Don't bother ordering from here if they are contracting out for delivery. They don't care about you. THEY contracted through door dash even though. I ordered directly from he Panera bread website. As far as Panera goes, this is a good location. It is a large restaurant with plenty of parking and outside/inside seating. The manager Linda is amazing and so kind, a reason I will always go back. Never had a bad meal here, and I eat here quite a bit because I work close by. read more

Ordered 3 sandwiches 1 soup and 1 pasta to go - just under $40. When our order came up - the girl behind the counter basically threw the bag down onto the counter. My daughter started to pick it up, but said to me that it had something all over the outside of the bag. Maybe the broth off of the soup(?) - it was messy on both sides of the bag. I mentioned it to the guy behind the counter and he said he was sorry and re-bagged the food nicely. While he was doing so, he asked Jasmine if she had put napkins in the bag - she rolled her eyes and got some napkins and handed them to him. Drove home to Marietta - no Fontina grilled cheese sandwich - and there was soup and crumbs all over the outside of the soup container & one of the sandwiches appeared to have been thrown together sloppily and not wraped well. I called the store and was told they were sorry, did I want to come back and get the sandwich tonight? 26 mile round trip - I said no, not tonight. She said I could get a 'free sandwich' next time I come in - I said it is not free - I already paid for it! So she offered to give us the sandwich next time, if I would like that? (Really? why else would I be calling.) I was nice until the end, but by then I really had the idea that, as a customer, I was not appreciated - so I said "no, forget it" and hung up the phone! The food we did get was good and most of the employees we had contact with were nice but, overall, it was not a good experience for us! This Panera is the best. The staff are second to none. The manager Linda is a shining example of what a manager should be. She makes customers feel welcome and appreciated. We came in every morning for the veggie soufflé while I was visiting from California, seeing my mother who was hospitalized. Witnessed an employee quit due to the manager's refusal to stop serving contaminated food. I will never eat at this restaurant again. There was a roof leak, leaking over the café part of the store. Anybody paying attention could see it was getting on the soups and the utensils. They still used these utensils without cleaning them. I hope the health department was called. read more
