The food here is great for fast casual. The sandwiches taste good and they are consistent in that they look and taste pretty much the same each time; it's nice to have that peace of mind when you're on the go. The breakfast sandwiches are great as well, and using real eggs is a nice touch. The only reason I don't put five stars is that I don't think they actually make cold brew coffee here. Every time I've ordered it, it just tastes like hot brewed coffee that was poured on ice, or maybe chilled and then served on ice. The difference between cold brew and regular brewed methods is rather obvious when it comes to taste, and I've had actual cold brew coffee from other locations. Also, if you're an actual coffee fan, there hot coffee tastes rather watered down and weak. So in sum: eat the food, skip the coffee. read more

I ordered Panera online for my family and my in-laws (total 6 people). I ordered our food at 4:30 pm and was given a pickup time of 5:27 pm. So far so good! When I got there at Panera in East Peoria to pick up my food at 5:30 pm, it was not ready. I was not greeted by any of the workers in the store. They were not busy, only one other person waiting for their food at the time. The cashier walked past me and my wife at least three times and never did she ask if we had been helped or could she help us. Just walked on by like we were chairs at the table. After waiting for twenty five minutes past the pickup time, I asked a lady behind the counter if she could find my order. She stated it would be right out. After another ten minutes, the lady brought it out to us in a plastic bag. She said she was sorry but did not go through the bag to make sure it was all there. My wife and I went through the bag and several things were not marked as to what they were. When I ordered the food, I have a ten dollar tip.... Too bad I couldn't get that back. I have lived the Panera in the old location in East Peoria for years. Now they are at this location, I am not impressed. They weren't even busy and still could not out together an order over one and a half hours after order was placed online. So ridiculous!!! I recommend if you go order food from here, plan on it being cold and take a good book. You are gonna wait for a while. read more

We dropped in here about 20 minutes from closing on a Sunday night. The crew were obviously already breaking down. There was literally only one sandwich and one soup on the menu that they were able to prepare for us. I wasn't looking for meal, so I just ordered a smoothie and it was delicious. Those who ordered the sandwich and soup were fine with the choice and didn't complain. I want to point out the great attitude of the staff. They could have been annoyed that four people dropped in right before closing while they were all hoping to get out early. But every one of the staff treated us with respect and were very friendly. This is by far the worse of the two locations. Lettuce is consistently wilted and slimy. Nearly all of my drive-thru orders are incorrect, so I either sit at the window forever or have to drive around and wait for them to bring out a replacement. Portions are usually inconsistent. Be careful at the drive-up. You'll only occasionally get utensils, bread, napkins. So,check your bag thoroughly before you drive away. Something is always missing every time. Just tried it out again. Couldn't get an iced coffee without waiting 15 minutes with barely any customers in the restaurant. I kept trying to get someone's attention. I finally made my own. My friend never got the proper iced coffee. Hers was completely wrong. Then again, I was trying to get the attention of the cook but he had a dental floss pick in his mouth as he cooked the food and was clueless. (I will probably be reporting this to health department.) I just received an order from the Panera.I called back within five minutes because I noticed a substantial part of our order was missing and I was told even though we only live five minutes away and it is a good 3 1/2 hours before closing that the most they would do for me would offer me a voucher for a future visit. They regularly give us food in the drive thru with missing ingredients. More than once we've come home to find the kids' peanut butter and jelly did not have jelly on it. Found a hair in my food... I chose Panera because of the healthy food but ended up losing my appetite .

So let's be clear, Panera has very good food and I go there for lunch frequently. But this location has some staffing issues, mostly in the morning. My wife, who is in the "friendly" business, continues to have problems simply getting a cup of coffee and a breakfast sandwich. She has consistently ordered through the online app and arrived to find incomplete orders, lost orders or other issues. When asked, the staff seem disinterested and aloof until the manager gets involved, finds the order, fixes the discrepancy and "corrects" the individual responsible for the rude behavior. I feel bad for the manager trying to deal with the consistent staffing problem but this is a matter of proper training. The coffee station is the part I regularly take advantage of and there have been numerous times I have arrived to find the coffee station destroyed; no coffee, no creamer, trash and spills, etc. Manager dude, the wife has moved on to Starbucks as her fall back option and its not because of the food. My wife and I love this place. While it is a bit pricey, it is a great change of pace from Subway and Wendy's. We usually get the "You Pick Two" option which ends up to under $20 when you add in one drink (which we share). The ambiance is pretty nice, there are a couple couches and lots of booths, high tables, and standalone tables. There are places to plug in your laptop and wi-fi access which isn't as great as I had hoped it would be. Thus, I don't got there for the internet, I go there for the food, and it is very tasty. read more

Ok,this the first time my wife and I have ever eaten in a Paneras.....most "franchise"places are mostly crap ie: jimmy cons ,sumway,and one that is crap but not a franchise a....tees.So my wife and I were very pleased to eat a lovely tasty meal for 2 for under $21...!!!!...we had a salad,sandwich a big bowl of broccoli/cheese soup.....and for later a nice chocolate fudge brownie(we put vanilla ice cream on it !!!:-)...plus u get 2 big nice baguette with the soup.GREAT FOOD VERY REASONABLE PRICES!......I need to delete my MCDONALDS APP...Now! read more

Food tastes great. But c'mon, regularly out of baguettes, and not just late in the day, but throughout. This location also struggles to properly cook the panini's and grilled cheese sandwiches.
