Two Stars, due two reasons. First of all the food is always inconsistent and hardly ever accurate. I am very specific about my order and it is 9 out of 10 incorrect. My family enjoyed the food they had soup, salad and sandwiches., I do have an issue with paying that much money for a meal and getting the bacon/ chicken mac and cheese with half grilled cheese only to bite into it and it be ice cold. Oh Panera Bread, you shady s.o.b! After hours of starvation, I decided to grace your doorstep with my presence. I paid $7.00 for half a sandwich and an apple. What I received was an apple and what a sandwich would be if it were made for a cabbage patch kid. Indeed, I thought I had received a gag meal. We were here on Sunday. The place was dirty and disorganized. Tables and chairs were just scattered everywhere because of the crowd. A wheelchair tried to get in and the poor lady just barely got to a table. The cashier system was horrible. Long line. 5-10 minutes just to place an order then 20 minutes standing in a congested waiting area. The food was at best average and not at all worth the wait, let alone the cost. Staff were surly and silent. They were not skilled. The kitchen manager was shouting very basic instructions to his staff. A young cashier tried and failed to double bag a pastry Unswept floor, un-cleaned tables, crumbs and garbage and spills on the floor all stayed there while we ate in very uncomfortable wood chairs. Good food, great and quick service. Panera is always a great place of standards whatever location you go to. Happened to be driving between the Atlanta airport and Auburn, Alabama and stopped here to have lunch. Wasn't terribly busy at 1 pm, stopped and grabbed a Turkey Avocado BLT and a fountain drink. I've gone to Panera almost every Sunday for breakfast for over 5 years. That puts me north of 200 visits, so I feel I've gotten to know the place. There are others as well...I see the same half dozen or so faces week in and week out - we give one another an occasional nod of recognition as a fellow "regular." You would think with such a record I would lavish the coveted "5 star" rating on Panera. I'm not so effusive with my praise, I'm afraid. Panera is not a terrific restaurant. It's not somewhere to go if you're looking for an artisan meal to blow your mind. It doesn't even have particularly good coffee (it's a little weak). Why do I go? It's my son's favorite thing to do on a Sunday morning. We've done it every week that we've been in town and one of us isn't sick. It's decent food. The personnel is, for the most part, really friendly. It's clean, comfortable and familiar. The only area I can point to for improvement is in consistency. When one particular manager is on duty, the place runs like a Swiss clock. She is on top of everything, making sure the coffee is always full, the food warm, and the line moves quickly. When other managers are there, it's not always as efficient. So, give it a try. You won't leave thinking this is the best place you've ever eaten, but you'll be happy and relaxed, ready for the rest of the day. UPDATE: Things have gotten progressively worse since aforementioned manager left, or maybe just moved to a different shift. Slow lines, peeling wall paper, and the menu hasn't changed in years. Our family enjoys Panera about once or twice a month. The prices are a tad high, but their menu and portions are health conscious, and we have too healthy choices today. The salads and soups are our favorites, but many of their sandwiches are good too. They have seasonal salads with fresh ingredients. Also, I like thier coffee, although we rarely make it there during breakfast. The pastries are a favorite of our kids, although it seems to be somewhat counter-intuitive with their other health fare. I have only been to Panera about 5 times, which seems like a small sample size. However, Panera has an image that is a bit more girly than my usual tastes. I only go with others, and each time, there were extremely few Y chromosomes. The sandwiches are downright aweful. They were small, and even given ingredients like sliced angus steak and white cheddar, the flavor left a lot to be desired. Mostly, I tasted bread, and not particularly good bread. However, I must give props to the French Onion Soup. This soup is absolutely fantastic. Sadly, it only comes in a fairly small bowl. The staff seems friendly enough. Sometimes, a bit too friendly... they will chat you up on a number of inane treehugger topics. In some places, you just really get the feeling you are not the target audience. read more

Tonight we ordered delivery and I called because it hadn't made it to our house in the delivery window, I called and they were actually not taking delivery's when I placed my order so they told me to ask for Lindsey when I came next time. If I could give zero stars I would, each time I have came here over the past year it just keeps being a little more inconsistent. Last time I went they were out of muffins , breads, the time after they got my order wrong, the tea area didn't have lemons, it was dirty, out of tops and straws and today my husband went to grab me tomato soup and a baguette and after 45 minutes he asked for his money back. He said it was very dirty with napkins everywhere and food spilled, dirty dishes and dirty floors. Everyone in line had been waiting at least 1-2 hours for food and several people were getting refunds after they refused to give refunds for some time they eventually allowed for it . They had 8 employees and he said between the 8 not one was making orders they were just all walking around acting like they were doing something and the orders that did get made were wrong ( every single one). I hope they are able to get things back on track soon because I miss coming to this place. Idk what has happened here but I think I will be avoiding Panera for a long time. read more

This has been my favorite lunch spot for years but today was my last time ordering from them. Their service for online ordering has really been horrible lately. Today I ordered soup for delivery. I am less than 15 minutes from them and my order took 2 hours to be delivered. I kid you not. Last time I go there, I order 13 bagels. I get home, they only nine. I have to be somewhere else soon, which is why I got them to go in the first place. I call them and talk to a manager about they mistake. They say if I come back they MAY rectify the situation. MAY? The indoor dining experience is good but the curbside pick-up leaves you wanting... your order... in a timely manner. What's worse is that they're really not trying to get your order out to you in a timely manner. If you offer this service, then offer a well-run, first class service or don't offer it at all. This is the second time - today - that I was told that they didn't know when my order would be available. I should have just gone inside like I had to do the first time when I used the curbside order service... after a 20 minute wait. Lesson learned for me. Beware! Got an order to go of the Baja Mac and cheese. Sat down to eat and chewed down on something very hard. My jaw popped very loudly and I had instant pain. I had bit into a piece of rubber that looked to be the foot off of an appliance. Cracked 2 teeth. They admitted it came from their restaurant but they will only agree to pay half of my dental bill, not to mention how much work gets missed due to being in a dental chair. Probably the worst Panera I've ever been to. Service is extremely slow after ordering. The tables are dirty. Employees just stand around chatting it up with each other. No napkins were out and the place is pretty much dead. The order wasn't right when we finally got it either. I should've got the hint when I saw only a couple of customers in the building. Bad experience with rapid car pickup. Wrong sides for both orders. Requested no chicken on salad and they put chicken on it. Had to wait 20 minutes for order over the provided ready time. Employees not paying attention to guest who had arrived. Selected the "I'm here" button on email and still got no service. Had to call to check on order that had been ready. Soup was cold when finally received it. When restaurants are trying to keep every safe during COVID and they advertise rapid pick up this is not the experience your customers want to receive. My family and I went to this Panera and walked in at 8:30. It says it closes at 9, so we thought we had plenty of time. My daughter ordered soup in a bread bowl. The cashier said they were out of that soup and out of bread bowls. She ordered a different soup with a side of bread. We were told they didn't have bread or apples, only chips. We all ordered soup with chips (since that's all they had). Once we payed, we were told the dining room was closed and we'd have to get it to go. The restaurant didn't even close for another 30 minutes. How can they close the dining room?! As we were waiting for our food, a guy behind the counter says, we're out of chips, you can get a slice of bread as a side. When we got home, my husband's chicken noodle soup was only broth and two noodles. Needless to say, we won't be back to this Panera. read more

Really wanted to like this Panera, as I like the others I've been too. After several visits realized that the place is filthy (check out the drink station and all the fingerprints and crud) they always have someone new at the register/ ordering station who screws up your order (EVERY time) and the staff are on breaks, texting when piles of dishes are all over the place. The only person trying was an older man trying to cart away dishes. Did I mention that the manager is staring at a computer all the time? My husband and I visited on several occasions, Saturday lunches to weekday late lunches. Always the same, dirty and unorganized. Makes me question the cleanliness of the kitchen and food prep. I emailed the Panera franchise and the manager sent me a, wait for it, coupon for a meal! No thanks! This store needs a good manager and I think then these problems would be gone. read more

I explained that I lived 10 minutes away & had a 1 year old and 9 yr old with me and I wasn't going to load them up into the car again. One of the most frustrating things that can happen when you drive to a location to pick up food is when they forget to give you an item that you ordered. What makes it more frustrating is that you don't find out until you get home even after you checked your order and assumed that the CREAM CHEESE was under the bagel that you ordered. There was no half and half at the drink station for our coffee, the bagel was not toasted and now I have to drive back to this location for them to correct this issue.
