I used to love Panera, but unfortunately my most recent experience at this location has left a sour taste in my mouth. I ordered online and arrived when my food was supposed to be ready. When I walked in there were about 10 people also waiting for orders around the counter. After about 10 minutes I received my food. I got home only to find out I only received a half salad, instead of the whole one I paid for. I was able to get a refund, but the experience has not sat well with me. The drive thru was closed as well and they did not have any chocolate chip cookies. Unfortunately, I think this location is hurting due to a lack of staff. read more

Disgruntled, negative bias review ahead: I Ordered stuff for pick up. It was pathetic. I've ordered from here prior and had much better experiences but of course I not going to leave a review about that because when you meet expectations, you should not expect a trophy/review. Deal with it- I have had their green goddess salad before and enjoyed it. The salads i ordered had literally 3 slices of chicken, only romaine and looked like they were made by lazy, apathetic robots. They messed up soup order too. Absolutely horrible service. I made an order online and arrived for the estimated pick up time. One hour later and I was still waiting. I had already paid so I was forced to wait. I was among many others who had been waiting 45 min + for their food. I understand certain circumstances can come up. They said there was no manager on site. Which makes zero sense for a newer location. I am fairly patient and rarely write negative reviews but this was ridiculous. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Either chips/side order was missing or it was a completely different order. Most Panera's were LOVELY and the staff actually cared... not this one. And one time, we had an online order and got there at the estimated pick up time. It took 30 minutes before we finally asked whether our food was being made or not. The staff told us that it wasn't ready quite yet, and we waited ANOTHER 10-20 minutes to ask again (politely) even though we didn't want to annoy them, it was getting late and we wanted to go home. And they said ( Rudely) they didn't see our order because 'It didn't show up on the computer'. And another 15 minutes went by and finally, we got our cold food and went home upset. This is the best Panera I have ever been to. I have become a regular because of the food quality, and the staff has never gotten my order wrong. They are very consistent and customer forward. Once, I was running late to pick-up my mobile order and I called to see if it was still there, and the staff kindly offered to put it in the fridge for me. I was embarrassed for the trouble, but the staff member was very kind and did not make me feel bad at all. (Thank you, Brendan!) I have also come at different times of the day for coffee, and the coffee has ALWAYS been fresh. I also see staff regularly maintaining the cleanliness of the customer areas - even the parking lot! It takes a lot of effort and good management to keep up with details like that. This Panera is awesome! read more

I've been a Panera customer since 1999 and this is the first time in 22 years I have ever thrown my lunch out. I ordered the Chicken & Wild rice soup that was all watery and tasted spoiled and had a half toasted grilled cheese that was barely toasted and the cheese somewhat under grilled. It was bad enough it took over 15 minutes to get my food. No much for good food fast. Very disappointed and don't think I'll be back. Last month I got a Hazelnut coffee that tasted like hot water with coffee grinds. I think I'm done with this Panera location. read more

My wife and I took our kids (ages 20 months old, 3 years old, 5 years old, and 7 years old) to Panera because our kids love the Mac and cheese. We entered around 8:15pm on a Saturday 6/12/21. We were the only customers in the restaurant. My 7 year old says, "It's so cold in here, I can see my breath." We ordered our food and asked the girl behind the counter to turn the heat up. She told us they aren't allowed to touch the thermostat. Luckily for us, we ordered hot soup and the kids ordered Mac and cheese with grilled cheese sandwiches. We sat down while we waited on our food... As I was talking to my wife, I realized I could actually see my breath!! My kids were so cold they didn't want to eat. I don't think I have ever eaten chicken and wild rice soup so fast! The AC should NEVER be so cold you can see your breath!!! It was miserable to try to eat... The Dr Pepper was out. When the lady working in the kitchen noticed I dumped it out, she asked me what was wrong. When I told her the Dr Pepper was basically carbonated water, she offered to get me some from the drive thru dispenser. She came back with one from the drive thru, but it was also out. She said she would go ahead and take care of it. She never did. We are thoroughly disappointed in this Panera location. Our family eats at Panera a lot in Concord, NC where we live. We chose Panera at this location because we went to the beach for vacation and our kids love Panera; however, we will not be back to this location. Okay update: Jasmine came in clutch this morning. I was craving one of those cheese soufflé things and I sprained my knee and it's a pain to drive anywhere. I wanted to call ahead to see if they had them before I painfully drove over. Jasmine put Two aside for me so that when I did drive over they would still be there. Im so sad to give them a low rating but I've now tried them 3 times and had a poor experience every time. Either the order is wrong, or the delivery takes forever (right now it's lunchtime on Sunday and we've waited almost 2 hours). I usually love the food at panera but this panera just never has gotten it right. First off, the soup I always get wasn't available because the workers had been eating it all day, and then they give me the wrong sandwhich with my half and half. I ordered a grilled cheese but got a cold undercooked sandwhich with 2 pieces of regular cold bread with cold mac and cheese in it. I wish I had read the reviews before I placed an order. Hopefully I can save someone else's dining experience. I ordered delivery, through the Panera app, items were missing, items were incorrect, but the thing that shocked me the most was that the bread bowls were on top/uncovered. We tossed them because of the chance of contamination. The driver told me it was her second delivery today, that the bread was packaged it in the open, and the other customers had contacted the location. I did contact this location and was told that they did not know what day the manager would return. I love Panera, but will definitely skip this location. read more

I really like Paneras and eat at a Panera at least twice a week. I travel weekly and will be in TN, SC, or NC. Of all the Panera's I frequent, the Mount Pleasant is by far the best in food taste and serving size. And the facility is very nice. I wish I could leave 0 stars. Most unprofessional, rude, and irresponsible staff/business I've encountered in a while. I of course gave lots of wiggle room for the pandemic we are facing, but this is downright unacceptable. We placed an order through curbside pick up (a bigger order, but regardless) for a certain pick up time. That time comes, and they said they didn't start the order because the computer didn't register it since it was such a large one (Bull). 20 minutes later, an employee named Christian (from what I was told), came outside and said they were out of nearly 1/3 of the items on our order and just stood there like it was our fault. After I asked why nobody notified us and she just shrugged, we had to pull teeth to ask her what else she could substitute it for. Next, another employee came out with a completely different person's order and kept trying to match it with ours. Horrible customer service, terrible communication, and disrespectful staff. We decided to stop at this new location for lunch. We ordered from the app for rapid pickup and then we would eat inside. Well, rapid pick up was not at all rapid! When we walked inside, every table was dirty! Trash on the floors, etc. utterly unacceptable during this time! We then cleaned a table and proceeded to wait and wait some more for our food. The name disappeared from the pick up screen. Went to the prepare station and asked if they still had our food, they did. Just sitting there. We asked if it was still hit and he said yes. Well, the real answer is no. We took back to the counter and they remade it. Someone brought it out to the table. Food was good but the service and cleanliness is much to be desired.
