This location is always filthy every visit. The tables are covered in food and there's trash on the ground. The seats are covered in food and crumbs as well. There is almost never anyone at the front counter inside so every time you go to order you have to grab an employee from the pick up window as they stare at you and don't come take your order. This is a very well decorated Panera if they could have attentive staff and clean tables and floors. read more

We hadn't been to Panera for a couple of years. Thought we would try the Mt Pleasant one today, and we were glad we did. We ordered on line to pick up at drive thru. We had chicken bacon rancher sandwich and also an order of Mac n cheese. The order was ready and hot right at the requested time. And the food was very good. I loved the sandwich. This place has become very popular in the past four or five months. I'm guessing it's great service and great food. I am a big fan of Panera. I do eat at these a lot and I will tell you this location is clean. The staff is friendly. They seem to try to get to know people by name. They're very good at resolving issues and they always seem to have a good attitude not to mention I enjoy the tuna salad and the salad salads and the soup is quite a bit. I've seen these people work hard for catering orders. I've seen them stay late and come early. Thanks again for being in my neighborhood. I don't know what I would do without you. read more

A nice location for Panera favorites. Clean and comfortable- all self serve registers made for quick service (not everyone's favorite but we like it for customizing our food quickly). Food came out hot, fresh, and in good portions. Love the drinks here too. Free Wi-Fi meant several people set up with lap tops. Not cheap but good quality and consistent food. read more

This new location ... and the first in Mount Pleasant ... has no street visibility from Hwy 17N with ingress and egress from one side of the highway. A much better location would be Bowman Place, the Town Center or Oakland Market. If you're a Panera regular, you know that the cafes are always crowded and bustling. There was not a sole inside. The few bakery items in the display case looked neither fresh, nor inviting. Neither person at the counter could answer a simple question about one of the coffee items on the menu. A plant based sugar substitute like stevia was not offered on the coffee bar. On the plus side, in fact, the only positive of my experience is that almondmilk was available without an upcharge. The reviews have been disappointing. I waited 9 years for Panera to put down roots in Mount Pleasant and I'm disappointed, too. Where is their regional management? read more

I will never come back to this Panera Bread! I went through the drive through for the first time at that location since it was completely empty. There was not a single car in the drive through. I waited 19 minutes and some change after I placed my order to get my food (yes, I am a patient person). When I got back to work and opened my salad, my for broke as I tried to pick it up. Yeh avocado was as hard as a rock and still had some skin on it. That's the one thing I look for when getting this salad! One star for the soft fresh bread but no thank you! This location had its official opening today. I stopped in because of the advertised special (13 bagels for $6.99). If you have had their fresh baked bagels before, you know this is a great way to start the day. I assumed it was an opening day special but get this, it happens every Tuesday! Now that is a reason to get to the store every Tuesday. I have the online/mobile app so I was able to pre-order my baker's dozen. Super easy navigation online. Sign in, go to bakery, find bagels and select the special. The choices for the bagels are prefilled, which could be helpful if you are ordering for a meeting. You can make some changes but it seems certain types have to be included in the special, at least on line. **** Huge tip**** if you want these bagels sliced, you have to modify or ask for it. I completely missed that option this morning. Arrived at the location about 20 minutes later and my order was complete, waiting for me to pick up. Their inside pick up station is organized by grouped alphabet, based on tour last name. Looked for my ticket, checked the receipt on the bag and off I went. Smooth and simple. They are also offering curbside delivery but as today was opening, I wasn't sure how busy it would be already. I saw at least 1 spot reserved for curbside parking. Overall, a good visit. Most of the staff had on masks and gloves. The spacing looks pretty appropriate for current times but not all tables were being used. They have an outside seating area. 2 disappointments..1st--some of the bagels didn't seem especially fresh. Maybe it is because they are packaged in paper bags; maybe its because they aren't big sellers. The cheese bagel was perfect. The chocolate chip bagel was not. Also, before you order the sprouted grain "bagel", look at the picture I posted. I think it looks like a cookie; not a bagel. It is crazy thin and no hole (lol) I didnt eat it so can't comment on taste. It does say "flat" in the order form so maybe I was just unaware. Trust me, I know now. 2nd-All the bagels were packaged together. Meaning the cherry vanilla ended up with everything seasoning on it....not a great taste combo. Today we tried Panera Bread. Very disappointing. I had Steak & White Cheese. The skimpy amount of steak for $12.99 is shameful. The boss had the chicken & Pepperoni Melt $12.99.No need for any Italian Restaurant to fear this as any competition. Lousy tasting. Again a lot of money for what it was. Let me tell you the one thing I loved. I observed a Grandfather and Grandmother working there. I spoke to the lady asked her and said she was welcomed to work there. This a true compliment to the manager who hired people willing to work and having the best work ethic. Well done! More companies need to do the same! What a great new and convenient place! Everything is just so practical about it. You can order in so many ways 1. Drive through- and it moves pretty fast! 2. Order online/ call and pick-up in store 3. Order online/ call and have it delivered 4. Order online/ call and do contact less pick-up. You park in a designated spot and the food is brought to you. 5. Order inside on a self-serve screen and pick-up a buzzer 6. Order inside with a real human! Goodness me! SO many choices! There is seating inside and outside too. The tables are spaced far apart. The place is spotlessly clean and I saw someone cleaning quite thoroughly each time a guest left an area. This particular Panera has a very happy feel about it. It's light, bright and airy. There is also free WiFi and a few students were studying away. I ordered at the self-serve counter which was simple to do. All menu items were fully described complete with a picture. I paid using my card on the self-pay device and then picked up a buzzer. There is a pick-up counter with a screen that will have your name. Not only will your buzzer "buzz" but your name will be on the screen under "ready for pick-up". A person collects all meals that are ready and moves them onto shelves where you can pick-up from. This place is awesome!!! As far as the food - it was wonderful. I enjoyed an Asian Sesame Chicken Salad and my daughter had the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt. The food was not great. The chicken and rice soup was tasteless and cold. The Mediterranean sandwich had very little ingredients in it. But I did find a hair in it. There was no one behind the counter to help with ordering. The kiosk would not recognize my Panera card. The bottled water was left off my order. Place was empty at 12:45 PM. Bathroom was dirty. I generally like Panera alright. And I've had decent food here a couple of times. But they clearly have some serious issues with management. I ordered through the app and hit the "I'm here" button. 10 minutes later, I called to ask if my order had gone through. The lady who answered apologized and said they were running behind but that many people were canceling orders and that mine should be done soon. After another 10 minutes, I really couldn't wait any longer, since I had to get home and get ready to go somewhere. I went in and asked them to cancel my order, which they did. During this time, several customers left without their food, and seemed upset. A customer inside said she had been waiting nearly an hour. To be fair, the people behind the counter seemed to be working very hard. I don't know if they were understaffed or had broken equipment or just didn't have the training they needed. We just went to this location and they were out of avocados and chicken salad. Settled for a bacon turkey bravo. It was on chewy bread, the bacon was straight out of the precooked sams package, a small portion of turkey, a paper thin tomato, wilted lettuce and totally dry - no mayo, no mustard, no nothing. We also got a cup of soup and 2 drinks which we had to remind them to give us. We wasted over 40 dollars for this underwhelming experience. Buyers beware. I regret going to this Panera every time I go! No matter what time I go in the morning they are out of soufflés. Today, at 8:30 they said they didn't even make them. I waited 25 minutes in the drive through lane with only 2 cars ahead of me. Then the gave me flavored coffee! I ordered black coffee. What's so hard about that? Ever since this location opened I have not had one good experience. The food is completely overpriced and subpar. I have given multiple chances because it's a new location and sometimes it takes a while to acclimate, but it hasn't gotten better and every time I go the food is awful and they are always out of something. Here's a pic of the "grilled cheese" I received yesterday. The crust was black and the bread was completely soft. The cheese which was very clearly a Kraft single, was burnt in places and the sandwich looks like it was thrown together. Very disappointing and will not be back. Don't waste your time or money here. Easily the worst Panera in the United States, consistently. Ordered 3 meals total, one of which was a Caesar salad. Not only did they give us a half size salad when we paid for a whole, they also ONLY gave us lettuce (salad is topped with cheese and croutons normally). If I wanted just the leaves I could've just gone outside and eaten grass instead, would've saved myself 12 bucks. Then tried to call to correct it and got hung up on twice.. I use the drive through and love the food, but the service is hopeless. they can never get an order correct, today, I ordered a tuna sandwich and an iced green tea, got handed a chicken salad sandwich and an unsweetened regular tea, charged incorrectly. when I asked for what I had ordered, the manager came to the window, berated me for accusing her employee for delivering an incorrect order, told me to leave, shut the window, said she wouldn't take anything back.
