Great for lunch with great tasty options. Stopped for lunch with a colleague from work earlier this week. Normally i frequent the Panera store in Huntersville so it was a first time here for me. Place was packed but they manage the flow quite well. Several lines upfront taking your order, ringing you up and giving you your receipt to claim you order. In our case, we were getting taking out and did not dine inside the restaurant although looking around, I was impressed with the facility. I ordered a Half of an Italian Combo with chips and Green Tea. The sandwich was great and the Green Tea was very refreshing with a good citrus note to the Tea. Very well organized, with a great menu well executed. Normally at the Huntersville Store, I like their bread bowl so that is going to be on my hit list to try at this store the next time I am here. read more

The drive-through takes long but I somewhat understand given Panera is not a McDonalds; the other, related negative component of our experiences was a super unfriendly and sassy person taking our order once. Yikes. Bathrooms dirty, no toilet paper. Every table I noticed was gross. Napkins on the floor, dirty booth seats, no forks or spoons in bins, and every coffee pot was cool. I paid $21 for my meal and it was fine. Nothing special, just food. Two young men employees were energetic and helpful. The rest clearly hate their jobs and couldn't care less about the customers. Confused. As someone who is on the road a lot with work, I always am looking for the local Panera Bread. This one is so different, and a big bummer. I keep trying!!! Not sure why, other than I really do like Panera. I'm rarely greeted with eye contact, much less a smile. The number of times I've come in and waited at the counter for someone... I've literally heard the staff arguing over who HAD to go take an order. In the afternoon, the coffee is always cold, if there is any. I was told they don't keep fresh coffee in the afternoon, when I complained. ‍ Then why are you still allowing me to buy it? Are there staff members in the afternoon to clean the tables and the stacks of dishes? I left mine on the table the last time I was here ( two weeks ago) because there was no room for them by the trash can, where the customers have to take our plates. Finally, doesn't the Tuscan Chicken come with arugula and roasted tomatoes?? It never seems to at this one!! Please, management help this location!! I relocated to NC. In Florida, we cherish our Panera Bread locations. Food is consistently good, orders are correct, coffee is hot, and ASAP pickup works like clockwork. I have used the River Highway location 3 times since arrival...... always hoping it was just a " bad day", and they would spring back. Last two tries: 1) a you-pick two, bread bowl soup, and 2 drinks. Results: soup different than on receipt, went back to counter to get missing coffee cup, second drink omitted completely. Then coffee of choice was empty. 2) three cups of soup and a drink. The chicken and wild rice, which is usually delicious, was a lukewarm, gelatinous slop. My workplace orders delivery a few times a week and every single time something is wrong: missing soup, missing sandwich, an apple when extra apple dressing was ordered, and one time the food came 3 hours after it was ordered. It's not like we order 15 minutes prior to a requested delivery. We order at least an hour ahead of a requested delivery time. The biggest thing that frustrates me is that the delivery bag comes with a "receipt" listing every single item ordered... Except this "receipt" is actually a check off list to ensure everything is correct. It even has a "Order checked by" section on the bottom. Perhaps if they chose to use this tool they wouldn't be getting this 1 star review. Take your business elsewhere. read more

Service was really slow. One of the lemonade dispensers had mold and gook all over the nozzle. No soap r toilet paper in the women's bathroom and the bread was all bad. I honestly love eating Panera bread. Their food is very wholesome and clean. Unfortunately at this location the service is slow. If you order curbside make sure you always check your bag, even for utensils. The drive thru speaker is very clean and you can hear both ways. Menu is very visible and easy to read. Note that the entrance to the store is very small, so you could not get through with a trailer but a compact truck should fit. Every time I've been there the staff is friendly but there is definitely not a "my pleasure" morale. read more

I am utterly disgusted and disappointed would be an understatement. First off it was the food. The steak and white cheddar I ordered was raw and the cheese had what appeared to be mold in it. I go to bring this to the attention of the cashier and then proceeded to ask them for the general manager. This is where the second part comes in play.. the general manager was so rude and disrespectful, she just brushed off my issue... at this point I was already getting upset and frustrated. It's a Panera! which is good if you like Panera otherwise not so much. Living near the great lakes meant good bread was everywhere so P's was more like a coffee stop; here in the south good bread is hard to find so I've recently started buying bread at the bread store. Mooresville is pretty much a standard operation except that souffle are generally available all morning along with a nice variety of scones, muffins, and cookies. The dining area is clean and tidy and the help is courteous and helpful. Shelves and counters are well stocked throughout the day, and the coffee's are hot and abundant so getting "cheese-shopped" almost never happens here. Contrary to other reporters I am quite satisfied with the Panera experience here: the money-for-food exchanges go smoothly and the sitting and eating and talking bits are enjoyable as well, so maybe it's just me ;-) Have been into this location kinda often lately and I have noticed that the odd timing of traffic lights make cutting through the lot seem a better option than driving on the actual road. In real life avoiding the light mostly takes more time and there's also the safety issues of blasting through the parking lot at high speed. It's all fun and games until someone get hurt. read more

I had used the old location several times to interview candidates and meet with my reps. They were ok, not spectacular. This was our second trip to the new location. Tonight's visit was ridiculous from a customer service standpoint. We phoned our order in for pickup at 7pm. We arrived at about 7:15pm. Time was tight as our son had a gymnastics practice at 7:30pm. Paid for our order after arriving and the cashier went to look for our food. Apparently they had computer issues between the time we ordered and came for pickup. We saw them fill our bread bowl with soup (our order). The soup sat in a bag on the counter sa for another 10 minutes while we waited on a salad (which would complete our order). Finally, we asked for the soup so our son could eat it while waiting for them to make the salad. After waiting for a total of 30 minutes (and now a full 45 minutes after they said the order would be ready), we asked what was going on. A manager-looking person said that they had computer trouble and everyone was waiting 45 minutes for their order. No apologies, no attempt to try and smooth over the situation. NO offer to refund our money for waiting 45 minutes at a PANERA for a bowl of soup and a salad. No offer of a gift card. Why did they need to build a new restaurant a block away? To improve their service? Another party that had waited 45 minutes for their food said that it's always like this. We will never return. This was by far the worse Panera experience ever! Restaurant was dirty! Large signs basically telling you "we're short staffed expect delays order yourself " just close if it's that dire. We specifically stated dine in and and still for our food came packaged in an unnecessary amount of plastic. Pulled up for a drive through order only to be informed that they were TOTALLY out of bread, flatbread, and bagels so they were unable to do any sandwiches or flatbread pizza etc. like WHAT that is literally like 75% of your menu. Ok so I order a Caesar salad. They don't put any croutons on it. They must be out of those too. 25% of the lettuce on it is brown/ red/ wilted. And there is a tiny sprinkle of shaker Parmesan cheese... didn't this use to have big grated pieces of cheese on it. But they did include a free piece of hair. No receipt though. There is no kiosk to order yourself and if you don't have your Panera card, like it's stored on your phone digitally, they cashier has to key it in manually. There are no cane syrup options for the the unsweetened or low sweetened tea and lemonade. Service was slow here and there were only about seven guests in the whole place, four of us were in line. The person taking the order was friendly. I was there at about 9:45 am and virtually none of the coffee options were above lukewarm. I had enjoyed Paneras Hazelnut coffee in the past but this time not very good maybe due to the lukewarm temperature or possibly it had been sitting around for a while (not sure what time they opened that morning but you'd think an insulated carafe would have kept it fresh for at least a couple hours). Same thing for the avocado egg white sandwich which was very good when I ordered it a couple years ago but this time fell completely flat perhaps due to very minimal avocado on the sandwich or tomatoes that weren't very tasty. I had read a review about Panera's declining value a few months back and see that other customers have also rated their experience less than stellar. I could have spent my $10 more wisely. read more

I love Panera recipes and the fact that they strive to provide better ingredients than most. I was pleasantly surprised this afternoon as previous times were disappointing. Ordered Chipolte chicken Avocado melt and a drink. The focaccia was very fresh, all the ingredients were neatly placed inside, not sloppy as every previous time and everything was the right temperature. Kudos to the employees that worked around 11:45AM today. read more
