OMG!!! I so wish this app had a reply button for some of these awful comments. One person gave them one star because he had to wait six minutes in line, same guy said his sandwich was spoiled. I am currently at Panera enjoying a great sandwich and soup that I didn't have to make. Service was good, staff was super friendly, bathroom is clean and the dining area is clean with tables bussed. Am I missing something? Starting off, AMAZING customer service. I was greeted by multiple people, including Nicky and Liona. they were very patient and friendly. Liona gave us guidance on foods reguarding allergies, and helped us out. Our food came out in less than 5 minutes, and it was spectacular. We got the chipotle chicken avacado melt and the new italian steak and fresh mozzarella sandwich. they were both amazing, perfect portion sizes, and great prices. Very clean environment, very homey. This morning I bought one and it was approx 2/3 the size of the ones I used to get, and the funny thing is that i'm still paying the same money for this tiny version. Went in the other day. 3+ hours before closing. There was nothing, I mean absolutely nothing on the front pastry counter and nothing in the bagel/bread baskets behind the counter. The lady that finally made her way to the counter acted like we were enemies for even coming in and bothering her. Cool, we left. Maybe a fluke or a bad day, I try to understand. About a week later, I come back to the drive thru to get some breakfast for the fam. At 9am they are out of half of what I asked for. How can Panera, a bakery that makes and sells its own baked goods be out of croissants at 9am? I ask if they are making anymore and he laughs and says no. Ridiculous question apparently. Cool, I get what little they do have available because I'm already in line and blocked by cars so now I'm forced to wait anyway. Finally get to the window and the guy yells at me, "$47.23!" like he's pissed I even exist in his world. No "hi" or "good morning", no "thanks for your patience and understanding that we just opened but have nothing available", just that general feeling of, "why are you here, haven't you learned yet?!" I have learned. Almost $50 for 2 bagels a sandwich and 3 drinks with a healthy side portion of unavailability and borderline hostility from the employees. Customer service is dead and its places like this Panera that continue to do us the favor of desensitizing us to bad businesses run by bad people that hire bad employees to dole out bad experiences. This review is not for this Panera. They clearly don't care and won't change. This review is for us, the customers that have the power to shut these places down from lack of business. We have to stop supporting these god awful businesses that treat customers like an afterthought and inconvenience. We force change with our wallets. Went in for a breakfast to go. Ordered an oatmeal with no strawberries but asked for bananas instead. Hubby got a breakfast sandwich. We also ordered a sour dough bread sliced thin. Cashier shorted my husband $20.00 which he caught right away. We sat and waited for our breakfast. Lady called our name and we got a bag but no bread. Nobody is paying attention. She went and got the bread and sliced it as we waited. Went to the car and started eating. Hubbys sandwich was good. Super thrown together and messy, but good. My oatmeal had strawberries in it, which I asked to be omitted with a few banana slices on top. The oatmeal was so thick it could have been eaten with a knife and fork. Very dry. Not enough water in it. I just threw it away. Nobody cares. Nobody greets you. Good Customer service has become nonexistent. The young kids don't give a flip. It's a shame really. I came in to kill 30 minutes between appointments. I honestly don't know how a restaurant can run out of milk when there are grocery stores with 2 minutes of the location. I wound up getting a refund because after 25 minutes they still could not produce two muffins and a hot chocolate. I am a reasonable person and if I saw a legit effort of the restaurant staff working hard to see to their customers I would have not said a word. Instead I the kitchen working in what seemed to be slow motion without any acknowledgment of me standing at the counter waiting for almost 10 minutes. Also, I paid $11.11 for my order and was refunded $9.91. I didn't have the patience to question the difference because the refund was issued by an employee who never acknowledged my issue and clearly didn't care. Dirty and not friendly! First time here. The place smells like an old hotel room. You can feel the dirty carpet sticking to your shoes. The staff are like robots. No emotion. It's really sad. Just went through the drive through. Waited a long time for someone to acknowledge me. I had to ask "Is anyone there?" Girl seemed new. I ordered a you pick two she did not ask what I wanted in the you pick two then said what else would you like? I said, " You haven't asked what I want in the you pick two, then a male voice came and in a very snarky tone said "That's why we asked you what else would you like?, which made no sense. Then the girl came back on and took the rest of the order. When I got to the window she had mixed up the order and had to re-ask what I ordered. When the order came it was correct however, the lettuce in my salad was wilted and inedible and my Greek salad had no feta and only two olives which were shriveled up! Food- please check the freshness of lettuce in salads, mine was a bit wilted . The staff seemed over busy or just poor customer service, i don't which really, I very highly suggest trays be available it's hard to carry different dishes to a table with a child present. This is the Panera in my local area and I use them more as a bread store. We typically place our order online and stop by to pick the order up the next day (bagels mostly). Multiple times our orders have been wrong. Moreover, the order is listed correctly on the receipt but the bagels in the box do not match. The receipt will even have a "checked/verified by" annotation. Also, why do they close the box before you pick it up. Warm bread just gets mushy when you seal in the heat. read more

Sat on the toilet for 2 days afterwards. Also had a chicken avocado melt and the main ingredient must've been avocado that day. Skimpy on everything else. Had the worst heartburn ever after that! I just spent the last hour in the line for the window at this location and they couldn't even make my food correctly, 20 of those minutes were spent sitting at the window with zero update on what was going on, I got a caprese and all that I asked was no arugula. I know some reastraunts don't allow you to modify food but they've done it before, so to wait for 30 minutes to even get to order my food, and another 20 at the window, for them to simply just not put arugula on the sandwich is ridiculous. I myself have worked in the reastraunt industry for the last 4 years, I get it gets busy, but yall have all this time and you still screw up one modification, ludicrous. read more

This establishment was dirty, which was the first thing I noticed. Fingerprints and smudges all over the door and windows, plates and bowls stacked up high near trash cans, tables not cleaned off, etc. We ordered at the kiosk but unfortunately they were out of a few items, and when we went to ask employees if the kiosks were accurate they were unhelpful and clearly unhappy (probably to work in such an environment). I always get good service at this location and find their portions to be more generous than most Panera locations in the Nashville area. Today I accidentally ordered curbside for their location but sent my husband to the Madison location "which was totally my fault" but they so graciously refunded my money and cancelled the order so I could place my order at the correct location. This Panera has super unfriendly staff that don't seem to really want to help. For some reason their lattes are inconsistent, one day you'll get one and it tastes great and the next time you'll order the same thing and it's horrible. Food is good and the staff is usually very friendly and polite, but sometimes they short change you on portions of meat. I usually get the Chicken Frontega or the Turkey Bravo. I've had a few other items, but theses are my faves. The last time I went there I might as well got a cheese and onion sandwich. I ordered a whole Chicken Frontega sandwich and ate half on my way home. The next day I went to heat up the other half so I opened it up, for even heating, and that's when I saw that I had so little chicken I decided to see just how much. I was able to put all the chicken on a teaspoon without any falling off. Really? I had an email asking about my experience with Panera and I decided to fill it out. Of course, I got the exact response I expected from a company who I believe does not care about their customers enough. The response was, so sorry about your experience. We will use this info to better train our people. Mind you, this isn't the first time I've responded to an email with same issue, just the first time I had so little chicken that it wasn't worth eating. So, I paid for something that I technically did not get (chicken) and the best they can do is sorry. I feel like they should of, at the very least, gave me another half of a sandwich, for free, on my next visit. I should of know from a previous response. Obviously, the using the info to better training our staff isn't working. For the record, I've only said something once before, because I was tired of only getting enough chicken to cover half of my half a sandwich (thin layer mind you). To me, the chicken should at least cover the bread. After all, wouldn't the meat be the biggest expense? As for the other sandwich I normally get, never had an issue and I love the bread on the Turkey Bravo, yum! So why is the chicken on the Chicken Frontega always so chintzy? At least half of a whole sandwich always gets short changed. This was just the worst. I love Panera, but this is getting out of hand. I'm a big fan of Panera, however this establishment has continually left me a little disappointed. They continue to be 'out' of some of my favorites no matter what time I day I drop by. Called the Gallatin Panera this morning to place an order to take to work with me. The lady answered the phone. I told her that I would like to place an order. She said I can't hear you. I repeated and she said hang on. She sounded a little testy. When she came back to the phone she asked what I needed? I told her I needed 15 soufflé's and she responded WHAT? I don't have that many! When do you need them? I replied I don't know, 15-20 min. she said "NO"! I paused waiting for some type of negation for longer time and got nothing. I have ordered this several times in the past without problems. I could have waited longer for the order if needed but she didn't seem like she wanted the business. The first time we were given the wrong soup (even after my husband asked them to double check as he was picking up the order and he was assured it was the correct one) and they got one of our sandwiches wrong. I created this account to specifically enter this comment. I have eaten at Paneras for years in different locations (cities and states) and have never had a bad meal. Until now. The Alfredo pasta was rubbery, obviously microwaved, with no sauce and way too much basil/oregano mix, the macaroni and cheese was inedible, hard and tough on the edges and cold in the middle, again, obviously microwaved. Both Panini's were almost black, with two thin slices of meat, half a slice of cheese, and no condiments as stated on the menu. The only things that were edible were the soups and the bread, which was delicious. I notified the management of the issues and never even received an apology. We will never go back to this location, and would never recommend them to anyone I know. Huge disappointment! read more
