I used to love coming here but the last few sandwiches I've gotten have been ridiculously small despite adding the maximum number of additional ingredients. On the most recent trip got the $10 veggie sandwich and would say it barely contained $2 worth of ingredients (see photo). Even the pre-packaged sandwiches at grocery stores have more filling. Horrible experience with a catering order from this location. I ordered $800 worth of breakfast for hosting 50 people. The driver only dropped off the drinks and left out the food. When I tried calling the cafe to get the driver to come back, they gave me the wrong number for the driver (gave me the number for a school district) and every time after I tried to call back they hang up. This is the worst service I'be ever experienced after years of ordering Panera for work catering events. I also called corporate customer service and was repeatedly disconnected after being put on hold with no one calling me back. This makes me question Panera's integrity. Hopefully a leader with high authority reads this comment and I am properly contacted for a refund. I was so embarrassed hosting 50 people and only having coffee and orange juice to serve them. UNACCEPTABLE that no one has called me back on both the cafe and the corporate side. read more

They have made ordering realllly easy at Panera! When you walk in, you can order at the 3 iPads set up in front . But you can only pay with Credit card; does not take Apple Pay. You can order at the counter and I think they take Apple Pay up there. Recently I've been ordering online on the app or at Panerabread.com ... It's super easy and they have pictures for every item. You can order ahead and it'll be ready when you get there. Lots of good seating indoor and outdoors! I used to go here to study but they have limited outlets and their wifi sucks. Sometimes that was better so that I wouldn't be distracted online ... and could focus on my books or writing my essay more. Overall really great place to meet up with someone to chat! Food is good, but I think it depends on the day. Usually I really enjoy my meal - I think just one time I had stale bread or did not get the right order. This time I got the California napa chicken salad sandwich and tomato bisque soup with a side of sourdough bread. Also they have a wide variety of desserts! I really enjoy their chocolate chip cookies or chocolate chip muffie (muffin-cookie). Also just want to say that I appreciate that they are cool with us bringing outside food from next door (Habit burger). If someone in the group wants habit burger and I want Panera, we can all still eat together inside Panera! My only complaint is that sometimes they really let the trash can pile up/overfill. I tried the curbside pickup for the very first time and the experience was not bad at all! A bit delayed, but not a long wait. I noticed the guy bringing the orders out didn't go in order. A car parked after me and they got their food first. I ordered the vanilla cinnamon roll and it came with napkins but no utensils in a bag. I never do reviews but this time I have to. I used DoorDash to order two sandwiches and two smoothies $8 each and$15 & 17 for the sandwiches my sandwich was toasted steak and cheddar. It looked like they took one slice of roast beef out of a package and shredded it on the roll , I couldn't really taste much cheese at all and the smoothie was in a small plastic cup at $8 each lol plus a $5 dollar delivery charge plus a $9 tip Door Dash fees and taxes. I've been to this location since they opened and sadly, it's gone very downhill. I went today to meet up with a friend to study. First of all, there's no one that greets you anymore. People are walking around wondering where they can place orders and looking at workers if they're ready for the customers. I usually like to use my app and place an order at the table because they bring it out to you which is great! This time, they set the food right outside the window in a table and just leave it there until you ask someone where's your food. I've witnessed multiple people ask and workers saying, did you see your order on the other side? I had to interrupt the workers conversation with each other in order to request for utensils which another table said they had to do the same. Of course throughout the day, you get an influx of people who come and go. At one point a workers comes to my table and points at me and says, "you only one? You sit here" and knocks on the table next to me. She said when there's many people, they need to make room. Granted, there was a long table in front of me that could sit 7 people easily and two tables next to me that could be combined into one. My friend looked at me and asked why didn't she tell anyone else to move? There were people sitting around before I even came in. She never went to anyone else and never came back up to me, I also didn't move. I was so irritated and spent a little bit more time studying before my friend and I decided to leave. Tables are gross, workers passed by dirty dishes multiple times until the same woman would always pick up the dishes and clean. The iced coffee I bought was terrible and the drink my friend bought was overly sweet like candy. Overall this Panera needs a new makeover and better training on how to approach customers. read more

Normally I am a huge fan of Panera but today they missed the mark I ordered the egg white breakfast sandwich. It comes on the dark bread with avocado, tomato, egg white and spinach Unfortunately the bread was over toasted and really hard. The mac and cheese was good but it was small even for a kids meal. It was more like a small side that should cost around $4 or so. Came back the next day and was also given a treat which I appreciated for the hassle (and per policy) Then the next time, they forgot the steak sandwich. I ordered a family meal for breakfast that has 4 sandwiches. There is a place where an employee signs to verify that order was checked, I assume for accuracy. When we got home, there were only 3 sandwiches. They would not make me my missing sandwich but instead will send me a coupon in the mail. So I do not eat because I'm not going to let my wife and kids not eat. Then, to top it off, my son removes the avocado out of his sandwiche because he does not like avocado and the avocado is rotted! Panera is the most basic cafe ever. It's totally commercialized like a McDonald's, but of course offers healthier and better quality food options. I often pay a visit when I need to work remotely, because the restaurant offers plenty of work space and WiFi. Although WiFi is limited during lunch peak hours, it's still an added perk! The food is tasty and never disappoints me! From baked goods to soups to salads to Mac and cheese to sandwiches the choices are vast! I often order the you-pick-two deal to get a little taste of this and that. Often my combos are a salad and something hearty such as chicken and rice soup, Mac and cheese, or a steak/Cubano sandwich. I would say that the portions are fair and the price is reasonable. Having said that, Panera meals are great value and I highly recommend paying a visit. read more

I regularly pick-up lunch from Panera after we take the pup for a walk/hike. I like the accessibility of being able to order online and having the order delivered to me curbside or ready for me when I go into the restaurant. The food at Panera is pretty consistent regardless of whether I order from the Millbrae location or the Daly City location. Prices are average, but could be more affordable. The issue I have with the Daly City location is the service. The people handing me my order when I pick-up rarely say a word to me even though I always say, "thank you and have a nice day". I also never get utensils with my order even though I always select the utensils option when I order online. It makes for a very poor experience when the staff is not friendly and generally have a scowl on their face, which is clearly visible even with a mask on. A solid place to come to when I'm in need of a quick bite to eat for lunch. My go-to is always a half sandwich + soup combo. Their creamy tomato soup combined with their grilled cheese is comfort food perfection. I was a little bummed that they forgot to include my side order of chips with my last meal though. Ordering ahead is quick and easy and your food is ready to go within 5-10 minutes. They leave it out on a separate rack so you don't have to wait in line when you arrive - you just go to your rack, find the bag with your name on it, and then you're on your way. read more

May 26, '24 was only the second time I've tried Panera, and it was at this same location. The food was good, but not as filling as I'd hoped, but what bothered me (and other guests, was a homeless man that entered through the main door, and proceeded to go to the self-serve drink area to get a beverage. As he walked pass the tables, he smelled really bad. Employees were nowhere to be found. I was behind the wall where the coffee bar is, so I couldn't see where the main cashier was, or if anyone was near the kitchen to ask him to leave. A customer had to get up and yell for someone to come out, but by the time someone did, the man had left, leaving a foul stench and an unpleasant experience for everyone. The employee who came out was asking "what the problem was", as if she couldn't smell the air or didn't see him. I felt that everyone was hiding until he left. read more
