Asking for tips at the drive-thru is ridiculous. Only reason I still go here is because of sip club. The stuff is expensive enough as it is.

Love love love this place…read more We started off with cocktails and they were delicious. Large martinis served up cold. It was a little strange cuz it was New England night and that's where we come from but we ordered the clams and the asgar go and both were delicious. Cute restaurant even if it is in a strip mall and the waitress was attentive and welcoming. I went with the shrimp and grits and they were the best I've had. I did sample off of a few other plates. The blackened shrimp with pasta and lobster sauce okay was also a big hit. The owner dropped by the table to say hello and make sure everything was okay. We told him it was and they were the best clams we've had and we come from New England. If you're in the area, I strongly suggest going to mean Dean's local kitchen.

Our first time that we came here for prime rib day we were told that we couldn't have prime rib that day because they overcooked the prime rib. So they lost money on us because we both ordered items that were three dollars cheaper than the prime rib that we have been expecting. Then the next time we dined here, our waitress took my martini order and 20 minutes later. It still had not arrived, so I went to the bar and there was no one at the bar and when the waitress came back, she told me she would just going to the bar to make it. And she did. Such good reviews made us come back for a third time which was kind of a combination of the first times we had dined here When we come back here to Florida 10 months from now, we'll give it another shot, but this time we're going to try it during the week.

While it looked rather empty the bartender was acting absolutely slammed and frantic. We had chosen to sit at the front bar because the place looked rather empty and thought that would be easier. It was nearly 10 minutes before she even came to ask for our drink order. My friend and I have both worked in the service industry and understand someone being in the weeds so we told her that we understood and could be patient. Once our drink order was actually taken it was a while still before our drinks were made and served to us. That was fine. They were tasty even if my friend's Arnold Palmer was light on tea and heavy on lemonade. Not a huge deal. However, with how long everything was taking we decided not to order any food, despite the food looking pretty good. Boy were we glad that we didn't! We were there for over an hour and the bartender was in our sight that entire time. At no point did we see her, or the server who was helping her at different points in time, wash their hands. Even after handling trash or used dishes from tables. We could see them handling this trash and where the sink was (there were actually multiple sinks in our view) and they just... did not use them. So not great for food handling and safety. This was made even worse after we watched the waitress hand the bartender two glasses of water from a table. The bartender then dumped the contents and placed the glasses on the bar mat as if they were waiting to be used again without washing between customers. So, unless someone can prove to me actual food safety and handling training of staff that is given and enforced, I will not be returning.

When I…read moresay farm fresh, I mean straight-from-the-farm fresh -- and they truly support local farmers. The produce section is always piled high with the most beautiful displays of fruits and vegetables. They make fresh salsa in-house, have an entire area of fresh fruit (even a station where you can core your own pineapple!), and offer some of the freshest seafood and meats around. The deli is just as impressive, with sandwiches, soups, and salads -- and you can have a sandwich made exactly how you like it. There's even a cheese bar where they sample specialty cheeses. Around special occasions like Valentine's Day, you'll find them hand-dipping chocolate-covered strawberries and offering samples. Their bakery is incredible. Everything is made from scratch -- the cinnamon rolls are absolutely amazing, and we love the cookies and cakes. They bake their own bread and even make their own donuts. From the produce to the meat department to the bakery, everything at Detwiler's is truly top-notch. They also have an ice cream counter featuring homemade Yoder's ice cream. You can grab a sundae, milkshake, or even an açai bowl while you're there. Yes, it's always busy -- but somehow the checkout lines move quickly every single time. They are incredibly efficient, and the staff is some of the friendliest and most helpful you'll find anywhere. The store is beautifully decorated, with each department thoughtfully themed. They play uplifting Christian music throughout the store, and no matter how crowded it gets, it's always a pleasant experience. People are genuinely smiling -- even the shoppers seem happy to be there. If you're visiting from out of town, Detwiler's is a must-stop. And if you're local, it deserves a permanent spot on your weekly shopping list. Decor, quality, service -- it's a 10 out of 10 every time.

The marina setting is such a vibe, with dockside picnic tables, a tiki bar, and a small indoor space with a bar and a few tables. We were genuinely blown away by the quality of the food. Everything tasted incredibly fresh the menu says "caught and served same day," and it absolutely lives up to that promise. The blackened fish tacos were a standout and some of the best we've had. The Caesar salad dressing is made In house and is absolutely delicious! We added the blackened mahi and it was filling and delicious. I have mastered a homemade recipe and I'm hard to impress when it comes to Caesar . (We ordered it extra saucy) The only thing we didn't love was the grouper spread, but that was more of a personal preference--it leaned more toward a tuna fish style spread rather than the creamier version we were expecting. The service was great too, the waiters are obviously kept super busy in a spot like that but still managed to get the job done with a smile! Overall, this was easily some of the best food we've had in Florida in the 10 years we've been coming here for spring break. We'll definitely be adding this spot to our yearly rotation.

The vibe is kinda in between, you can dress up or show up casual and not feel weird. It's a little loud but in a fun way like good for a date night or girls night. Service was decent, the girl at the bar was nice and clearly doing everything at once, so no complaints there. Drinks aren't insanely strong, but they can be cute depending on what you order. My wine looked like...wine, but my mom's martini had a cute rim. It ended up being around $57 not including tip which honestly felt cheap for everything we got. Only downside is street parking, so be ready to walk a bit if you didn't park right beside it. I'd definitely go back if I'm in the area.
