My wife ordered a coffee and a Asiago bagel at the drive-in window. When she got home she was very disappointed with the bagel as it was shredded. Order was to be the ciabatta, bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast with chipotle sauce and tomatoes. What I received was bread, the eggs and bacon nothing else. She was an excellent hostess and accomodate me in all my orders. The service is incredibly slow at the drive thru. I was going regularly for breakfast sandwiches, until I was served a sandwich with bread that was so burnt, it was almost entirely black/charred. Staff was outstanding and so considerate and helpful. We came in as a group of four and from the register to the table we were helped by so many associates. Restaurant was clean and tidy. Parking is a little difficult and small but there is other parking near by. We visited Panera on Manatee Avenue on May 10 at 6:30 PM. Probably too late to get any food or good service. We were going to go in for a really good snack as a cinnamon crunch bagel with a lot of smear but of course they were out of bagels. O I guess that should've been assigned to us. Yes, They had one beer claw left again it should've been a sign the bear claw was dried out. We took it back to the counter and try to explain that the claw was not edible to the manager. The manager said he could not have food returned. The problem was he didn't try to make it better at all. In fact we had to purchase another bakery good. I wish I could give this Panera 0 stars. I have had nothing but problems with them. Unfortunately, in west Bradenton there aren't many choices for a quick delivery option. Tonight I ordered my son a meal to be delivered to his work. They had my phone number, the address, the name of the business, my son's name, and instructions to leave it on the counter inside. His work is in a shopping plaza, and they delivered it to the office next door, which was locked up with no one there, a different name all together from what I listed on the directions, and NEVER called my number on record to say there was an issue. My son came home at 8:30 asking if I ever ordered his food. I was shocked bc I was under the impression he received it around 6:30 pm. I tried to call Panera to report an issue SIX times between 8:35 and 8:55, NO ONE ANSWERED. I tried the option for having an issue with a delivery order as well as the speak to an associate or manager option. We went back up to see if the food was outside the building and it was not. I guess some bum received my son's $16 meal and the lazy driver who couldn't read "please deliver to Intense Escape" got an easy $5 tip. Last week I had an issue with this location as well. Ordered his food for pickup at curbside, sat for 25 minutes waiting for it to be brought out when I was alerted it was ready. It never came. I turned on my flashers like the app says, I saw people inside pointing at my car, clearly knowing I am there for a curbside order. Not a single car in the parking lot. I ended up trying to go inside to find a locked door with a sign that said the inside was closed. Then a worker who was leaving told me curbside wasn't available and I should ask for a refund. All the while, I had a text and email saying my order was ready. I ended up forcing my way inside when another worker came out, asking the lady inside for my food. They said it wasn't ready, until I showed my confirmation email that it WAS. Then they said I had to get in my car and go through the drive thru to pick it up, even though I was standing right there at the counter! I got angry and asked for a refund, and the lady had the nerve to be upset that I had an issue with the service. I informed her that is curbside ISN'T available, then maybe they should post signs on all the curbside parking saying "please go through the drive thru for your order, sorry for any inconvenience." This place has awful service, horrible workers and ethics. I WILL be disputing my charge tonight for the $21 order my son never received. read more

I went through the drive-through at this location today... I asked the girl at the window if the sesame Asian chicken salad had almonds in it to which she replied "no, it doesn't" I got that and a half a sandwich and I drove away and when I got to the red light I happened to glance in the bag and there's almonds all over my salad?!?! so I had to turn around and go back! I go inside the store *wait in line* to tell the girl what happened, she apologized & they made me a new salad without the almonds on it -but my point is #1 the girl the window never gave me a receipt -#2 ***all employees*** should be well educated about nut allergies and If they aren't sure then they should look!!! I could've died today had I not noticed the almonds!! This location is much closer to my work *and* my home but I will definitely be going all the way over to the restaurant on Cortez because they are nicer and know the product ingredients! Tried the pick two and got the chicken and rice soup and Asian sesame salad. Got home to find half of lettuce rotten and slimy and the chicken also slimy and mostly gristle. The soup was ok. I come here a lot simply because I enjoy Panera food. HOWEVER, this location has poor service and seems to always be worried about the drive through more than the front. 9/10 of the times I come, I always have to wave someone down to ring me out. No one even checks periodically. Very strange. The free coffee thing is suckie. Asking them for the cup, only half and half available, no flavors, God forbid you need more sugar you're going to have to wave somebody down to ask again. Not really disappointed in the food but management needs to step in and fix customer service skills inside the store. read more

This is the worst Panera Bread ever. Ordered a bagel toasted with cream cheese and chicken noodle soup. Got back to the hotel only to find that the bagel wasn't toasted and no cream cheese. The chicken noodle soup contained 1 noodle. Not sure how they thought I'd eat it since they didn't provide a spoon. Then to top it off the bread was stale.
