We stood waiting for a table about 6 mins or so while the hostess was passing food to other patrons/ and chatting . Finally she the hostess attended in seating my self and three others. She was not polite looked at us pissed off and seemed agitated. I must add we were the only ones in line and it was not crowded. OK , so We were finally seated. It took 20 mins or so before our order was taken. We waited for 45 minutes for our food to be given, and it was cold, not even warm! I asked the hostess also waitresses helper , for an item, yes the one who seated us ... she rolled her eyes and sighed. Clear agitation/frustrated. I told our actual waitress that not only was the hostess not hospitable (RUDE) but our food was cold after the long wait they were supposed to be cooking it. It didn't arrive hot. She said we can reheat the food and the hostess is just overwhelmed. How do you take that out on the patrons... I am paying for my services, my food... and myself and my party are the ones who suffer the wrath.. So At this time as we'd been waiting a VERY long time...we ate the cold food...and accepted the fact we were just give the worst service. The lady doesn't ever speak just dead stares at everyone and it's very unwelcoming and unprofessional as for the man he's always on his phone like what's the point of you being there if you aren't doing anything. And my favorite manager Miss Lulu isn't there like she usually is. She's my favorite part of bay poke and the main reason why I keep coming back for my lunch break. The fried pickles were like thin potato chips--nice and crispy. I had the seafood basket with fresh oysters, catfish, hushpuppies, and crawfish tails. My friend had the tilapia, and her French fries were nice and crispy, which she thoroughly enjoyed. It was a good afternoon to be had by all. Give them a try--you'll be glad you did. Baytown Buc-ees was a stop I made at about 3:30pm on 6/10/26 and I knew I was going to battle Houston traffic to get to Austin! I was able to purchase some nuts and snacks here and the store was consistent with other stores in the chain-- tons of food, super clean restrooms, mesmerizing merch, and plenty of gas pumps. Along with my love of Buc-ee's, I also have a ton of perks at Starbucks and was pleased to see that there was a store next to Buc-ee's. I was able to get a cold brew and be on my way in 30min. Fastest Buc-ee's/Starbucks stop on my trip! I guess it possible to do a quick stop at Buc-ee's, but before I left I saw a manager and asked her if this was the first Buc-ees and she said in a polite TX voice, "No sir, we are store #34" She also let me know that the first store was in Clute, TX. Knowledgeable staff!! Since I live near the first Chipotle I was curious.
