The food was good. Everything was fresh. My only issue is bagels are just loosely placed in the bag with other items which seem a bit unsanitary. Service was prompt even during busy breakfast time. Wait wasn't long and prices are reasonable. Restaurant is clean and well organized. Panera is one of my favorite go to's for baked goods, soups, and salads. read more

Normally I love Panera when traveling, the food is delicious, quick and easy to find. This experience was none of the above. Ordered in house on the kiosk, restaurant is typically busy at lunch but 40 minute wait is beyond acceptable for quick service. They seem full staffed and the restaurant maybe a 1/4 full yet the service was beyond slow almost snail paced. A very sad day for me at Panera...... read more

Panera Bread - Sandwiches Near Me - Battle Creek, Michigan

I recently started dining here regularly as I love the potato soup in the fall, unfortunately today they were sold out of bread bowls so I didn't get an opportunity to try one here yet. The potato soup is to die for I highly recommend it. If only it was year round, I also recommended their chicken bacon ranch sandwich It is incredible didn't expect it to be as good as it was and it pairs well with soup. If only their potato soup wasn't seasonal read more

staff who took order friendly. Dined in. $20 for half a sandwich, soup and drink. seems pricey. Also of course they asked me to round up so they can get their tax write off!! The real issue was I went to find a place to sit and it was disgusting. Not one clean table. All tables with crumbs and food on them. Seats with crumbs on them from when the table have been wiped down previously they land on the seats. I hadnt been to Panera in two years and had gone this day because my car was being services next door. Needless to say, I wont be back. Not clean!! read more

The woman at the counter was the absolute sweetest!!!! Calling me cupcake and sweetheart and telling me she appreciates my business and hopes I have a great day. Food aside, I'd come back for that kind of customer service and skip the kiosk ordering any day:) read more

the gal named Freddie working the front counter who took my order has amazing customer service! A+ 5 stars 10/10 I always love to stop at this Panera for a good cup of soup and a sandwich. The child portions was just ok for 35,00 for 2 people is nuts will not be going back to that place anymore ?But very friendly works

There is one woman that works there with long black braided hair who is amazing. Just very upbeat, sweet, and kind. Someone promote her because she is exactly what any business would want to represent their company! read more

The salads is awesome in the green tea. Delicious service is always friendly. Very very good cookies.

While running errands, I thought I'd stop and get a bowl of their delicious broccoli cheddar soup with bread. As I went to order my curbside pick up, I noticed first that the price of the soup has gone up. Okay, I get everything has gone up in price. Then as I got to the checkout, I noticed that they are also charging $1.00 convenience fee for curbside delivery! You're charging $1.00 to walk to the parking lot but that's right--you won't even deliver food to the table in your own restaurant or is that a $1.00 fee now too? Being handicapped, I loved the curbside delivery and frequented Panera often, but no matter how good their soup is, they have just once again made their restaurant inconvenient because soup will slide off my rollator as I try to walk to the table! Maybe Panera should try being more handicap friendly rather than so profit oriented! read more

It's a panera so what do you exactly expect? Carpets, tables, chairs were all clean. Food is what you expect it to be, of course at high prices but that's pretty much what panera is known for (not that it's okay but it's not this franchise fault.) Drink lids and straws were stacked but the drinks were low, could have an employee fill it. They also did seem very short staffed. Building is quite small, could explain why I did not see many eat inside the building. read more

1/22/2024 - Ordered a dozen bagels to go and stayed for a bowl of soup. $16 for two bowls of soup - what in the heck? $8 for soup?? This is a café for what it's worth. The bagels: Dry, overbaked, and flavorless. I called to see if they'd do anything to make it right since I have 10 inedible bagels. I was told too much time had passed. I get it; food is a weird thing to return. But what about the customer service? There was no attempt to make it right. I'm not out a lot of money, but this isn't about that. A little more, sorry we let you down. We hope to make it up to you, the next time you visit. How can we make it right? We take pride in our products, thanks for letting us know, we'll pass it along to the baker... Any of those things would have gone a long way. Instead... The manager suggested I report my dissatisfaction of their products closer to the date of purchase. Ugh, Sorry I couldn't eat all the flavor of bagels I ordered within 24 hours of purchase so I could report back. What are we talking here? A couple of dollars (before markup) to make your customer happy? I'll drive the extra miles to Kalamazoo for Big Apple Bagels. Shame on you BC Panera. read more

Lunch and Panera today while traveling in Michigan. The employees were doing their best with curbside orders and allowing customers to order inside while staying socially distant. Food is always consistent at Panera and this location didn't disappoint. The food and service was great. read more

It's no longer the Broiler Era. It's the Pan Era. Panera Bread is okay. I find their products to be terrible so I don't know what all you are raving about. I think you'll have really bad taste lol. I'm sure some of you think that about me but there's no accounting for people being wrong. What I did like about this location was the service and the free WiFi works well and the free water tastes good. I wasn't crazy about the coffee but then I don't really like coffee too much in general. I can't deal with their fruity drinks and sweet teas. Trying to be all fancy and all of them just tastes like crap to me. But that's because I have a steady diet of bubble tea so. read more

Panera Bread - We are now entering the pan era - Sandwiches Near Me - Battle Creek, Michigan

This is my go-to location for mobile ordering and they've always gotten my order right & in a timely fashion! I always get Avocado, Egg White & Spinach breakfast sandwich (Scrambled egg whites, a thick slice of Vermont white cheddar, fresh avocado, fresh baby spinach and tomato with salt and pepper on a freshly baked Sprouted Grain Bagel Flat.) This location is also oddly always packed! I think they could do a better job cleaning though -- the hot water spout on the dispensers is caked in grout and it sometimes smells a little weird. 316/365 read more

Unfortunately I feel like the staff is not invested in enjoying their jobs or people. Chain restaurant going through the motions. Food does take a long time for pickups or in house dining. Place is clean in dining area however drink station always seems like a hot mess. I like Panera so I'll be back just not looking for smiles sadly. read more

Was surprised to see the place nearly full when I rolled in at 2 on a Sunday afternoon. I actually had to cruise around the parking lot twice to find a spot. Fortunately, there were open tables inside. Ordered a half-size chile-lime salad with chicken, which took about 15 minutes to get to my table. It was fine, about what I expect in a Panera salad. Expensive for what you get--also an expectation with Panera, but there aren't many better non-fast food options close to the interstate. read more

Huge shout out to Josh While delivering for doordash, the left front tire of my car locked up next to Panera (Battle Creek). I went inside and called AAA for a tow and then settled down to wait. Of course I had skipped breakfast because I was out delivering other people's breakfast. I ordered a sandwich and a drink. Josh was the cashier. He could tell I was stressed and he asked me, so I filled him in on some of it. He repeated expressed his remorse for a situation was mine - hot his. After I finished eating and while waiting for tow truck, he even walked over and asked if I needed anything. Again, showing care and concern for my well being. A stranger he did not know. Just another person passing thru a very business store. Josh is a credit to the brand, the store and to Battle Creek in general. read more

Love the bread here. But make sure you come early. Best selections are early and fresh in the morning. If you like a spin on a grilled cheese, try the Fontana Grilled Cheese. If you do a "take two" you can get a cup of soup with it. Makes for a good quick lunch. If you are looking to get full or large quantity this is not the place for you. The selections are good and proportioned but nothing you will walk out of undoing your belt. Great place to meet with friends and have a business lunch. WIFI is available and relatively fast so feel free to bring your laptop. read more

We stopped here today on a road trip along 94! They were pretty quick, and the food was tasty. They have the menu items available at all the chains, and made sure we knew that the free pastry we were eligible for because of our Panera card was going to expire in 48 hours. Nothing outrageously outstanding to set this Panera apart from any other (although their apples seemed to be better than the chronically-mealy ones you tend to get at Panera locations), but it's in a convenient place, the food was tasty, and the service was friendly! read more

I ordered two take-out salads. Service was good. I did not pay attention at first but while eating and half way done I noticed some of the pieces were rotten. The turkey, apple and cheddar sandwich comes dry, so be sure to ask for mayonnaise or something to give it flavor. I added salt, but it didn't help enough. Why would they serve this sandwich dry? Not appetizing. The service wasn't very friendly. I think it was just this particular employee's personality; he acted disinterested and blah. He must have been disinterested in our order, because he got it wrong. He said he misunderstood what we said, and refunded an item to make up for the mistake, but made sure we knew that he thought he was right and we were wrong. I usually like Panera, but it is unlikely I will return to this location if in town. read more

I always get the same thing when I go into a Panera Bread, a plain bagel and a drink. I do this because I don't really see their menu as being a good value. Overall, pretty pricey for what you get. I'm getting my car worked on next door, so I dropped in to this location for my standard order. I had grabbed my plate and was headed for a table when I happened to look down and lo and behold, what do I see, a skinny little "O" where my big fat bagel is supposed to be! I had some serious Sesame Street flashbacks and wondered if this visit was brought to me by the letter O, and the sound of money leaving my pocket. Now, to be fair, when I went back up to say something, they were very quick to grab me an additional bagel, and between the two of them, I had approximately a bagels worth of carbs on my plate. So that was nice. The real issue here, is, how do you let this product out of the kitchen let alone in to the hands of your customers? The staff let me know that they had "baker problems" and sometimes they come out really fat and good, and sometimes not. :/ My suggestion, as an industrial professional, is to really work on your product quality and consistency, and don't pass your issues on to your customers. It is far, far easier to take care of your issues than to have to make up for them after the fact... read more

I love Panera so of course, my family and I came here to eat out. We live in Illinois and the one by us is delicious. But here... The smoothie did not taste as good as it does by me - tasted like they put a lot of syrupy stuff in it and the grilled cheese weren't even cooked all the way at all. Will not be going back to this Panera. read more

I'm pretty freaking disgusted. I found a fly in my salad. I understand bugs can be on lettuce leaves that's why you WASH IT. But they definitely didn't. I walked in after placing my order online and they were just putting my bag in the cubby as I got there. I saw it from the time it left the back room to the time it sat in the cubby area for my pickup. I first found the fly then looked in the bag for a napkin to spit the salad parts that I actually ate into and found a dirty used napkin with avocado on it. I contacted customer support and haven't heard back. I only had 30 minutes for lunch. They're ignoring me. This is so freaking gross I'm never going back. Not to this location. Disgusting. read more

I don't usually write reviews but I'm making an exception due to the poor quality of food I was served at the Battle Creek Panera Bread. First thing I noticed when I went inside was the place was almost empty but the online orders appeared to be rolling in. I walk up to the registered an a heavy-set African American (so am I) lady with the rudest/poorest attitude I've ever seen in any restaurant is working the register. She doesn't even say "may I help you" just stared at me, took my order, no "Thank you" or anything. I ordered the Toasted Steak and White Cheddar. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE, steak was as tuff as rubber, with an extreme amount of fat. Took 2 or 3 bites and threw it away. If I was wasn't traveling I would have took it back. Did I mention it took forever to get this garbage. Terrible service and food if I could give no stars I would. read more

Worst "Grilled" cheese sandwich EVER! It was like they took two slices of spongy white bread, threw it in a toaster that didn't work then slapped on a slice of American cheese and tossed it in the microwave for 10 seconds. What a disappointment. Panera, I hope you're reading this - I tried calling the restaurant before deciding to review on Yelp but no one was picking up. They were all out of my first order attempt (shrimp soba). They were out of three different kinds of bread for my second attempt (Mediterranean sandwhich). They were out of the soup I wanted. At this point the cashier told me "it's not my fault, I just work here". Oy. I finally decided to get the black bean soup. Soup arrives and it's only full 2/3rds. Food is okay tasting, better than eating at other fast food joints. But the service is downright pathetic. 2/3 of our orders were wrong when they arrived. No different really, food wise, than your average Panera, food wise (except they were out of quite a lot), but their staff was easily the most unfriendly staff we have ever encountered. The girl taking orders was flat out rude and if this had been our local Panera, I certainly would have asked for a manager. One thing I've appreciated about Panera is their generosity.
