I measured the $8.99 soup when I got home and it was 8 tablespoons. the sandwiches were small and barely had any content in them. my bill was $38.00. ARE YOU SERIOUS PANEEA BREAD?? You're going "public" because you are ripoff artists. The soup had a grand total of 2 noodles, one piece of chicken ( ??) and a shred of a carrot. and the sandwiches were tasteless. PURE GARBAGE. Wanted a little nostalgia as we used to frequent Panera Bread weekly while living in the states. It was one of my favorite places for lunch. The food is still delicious, but the prices have increased substantially. Now, l don't mind a price increase if you get the same amount of food as before, but 21.00 for a soup that they claim feeds 4 was extremely disappointing. By the time l had ladled barely a half cup per person, the container was gone. This hardly served 2 adults and 2 children. The pick 2 was also much smaller in size with the soup being a small half cup, thank goodness for the half a sandwich. The large mac and cheese for 10.00 pictured on the menu was also shrunk in size. I guess we should have eaten in restaurant as maybe the portions there are larger, but I have had take out portions of ice cream in a bigger container than the mac and cheese came in. And an after note.....if you order take out, check your order before you leave. We had several items missing, and had to go back for them. Maybe the difference is this is a Canadian Panera Bread, and since they are so few and far between they can get away with smaller portions for more dollars. Next time l go to a Panera Bread will be when l am back visiting in the states. read more

Visited this place for the first time today. Was pleased with the selection of lunch food on their menu. Includes paninis, sandwiches, soups and salads. I ordered the Pick 2 lunch special and got grilled cheese and a Broccoli Cheddar soup. We were seated and had our food within five minutes of ordering. The soup was quite hot and the grilled cheese was delicious and fresh. Would have loved a bit more broccoli and a little less cheese in the soup...it was orange, there was so much cheddar in it. The only thing that struck me at this establishment was the cost of items. The Pick 2 menu and 2 drinks came to $29! Thought that was a bit more than I would be used to paying for lunch but that might just be me. Otherwise, I really enjoyed this place and would certainly be back. read more

Went in for a snack, and at $10 for a grilled cheese I was expecting some good bread with maybe a mix of cheese, or at least good cheese! My boyfriend and I came here to eat the other day while it was raining and didn't know where else to go, ordered the broccoli cheddar and mac and cheese and my boyfriend got regular mac and cheese, then I got a strawberry banana smoothie. The mac and cheese was pretty bad, it tastes comparable to old hospital food if that makes sense. Both the broccoli cheddar and regular mac and cheese were kind of watery and had a bit of a play-doh aftertaste to it, and for the price I was not expecting a shot glass sized dish lol. The girls at the counter were pretty rude and annoyed but not a big deal I'm not going to Panera for the service. For lunch, I ordered a half sandwich, and an associate also ordered the same half sandwich. $14 for a sandwich, when splitting a full sandwich would have been about $10. Sure, with a little conference, we could have decided on splitting, but that's quite a pricing skew. Overall, two meals (sammy, soup and drink) came out to $15 a head. Just had a steak and arugula sandwich, which we have had many times before and enjoyed it immensely. However, this time, the arugula was wilted, there was not much steak on it but a lot of pepper on it. Typically slower than most places service. Food is mediocre and feel like most business comes from the fact it's the only panera that is in the city. Not a big fan of the food, honestly feel like I could make a better can of soup at home. I lost my wallet at this location, and Kristen made the effort to hunt me down all the way out in Kelowna, BC and make sure that I got my wallet back. I used to eat there weekly when it first opened but in the four years since it has gone down hill. I went there for the last time today. I ordered the new Southwest salad and I had to return it and ask for a refund. It was really soggy because it was drenched in dressing and the few pieces of chicken I ate before returning it were rubbery and did not even taste like chicken. They had to get the manager to refund my money and she couldn't have cared less. She didn't ask me what was wrong or didn't even apologize. As we were leaving four kitchen staff members ran outside to pet a puppy who was being walked past the restaurant...if that's the kind of quality control and cleanliness the manager allows I don't think anyone should want to eat there. read more

Sandwich bread was very greasy. Cappuccino was very good. If you are planing to study or read, better go somewhere else. Daytime regulars are fairly loud. It's not the store's fault, but it's good to know if you expect that. Went to Starbucks to study instead. read more

This is one of my family's "go to" spots for lunch. Food has always been delicious and made with high quality ingredients. Service is typically great and quick even during the busiest times.
