Terrible, terrible service. I went into the store, midday, and was the only customer in the place. I had my infant daughter in her car seat with me. The single employee there was quite rude to me, and seemed very annoyed that I was there. I placed my order, and got very short answers from the employee. Again, it seemed as if this employee was annoyed I was even there. I didn't see the employee was his hands. He didn't wear gloves or use tongs/tissue paper to pick out my items- just bare hands. When it was time to pay, I inserted my card into the machine. The machine must've been acting up, as the transaction was taking a bit longer than normal. The employee said "I CANNOT LET YOU LEAVE UNTIL THE MERCHANT RECEIPT PRINTS." Ok, I understand the importance of receipts. However, those choice of words were a big issue to me. "I cannot let you leave" can be very triggering to some people. Like holding someone hostage... Not great customer service. Once the receipt printed, I asked the employee if the store had any bags (to help carry my two boxes.) The employee quickly said nope, turned around and walked away (maybe into the kitchen) out of my sight. He didn't say thank you or bye or anything. The whole reason I was asking for a bag was bc I had to carry both boxes as well as my daughter in her car seat out the door. It was hard to juggle it and keep the store door open. It would've been nice had the employee offered help- but he quickly disappeared before I could even ask for help. Again, poor customer service. The only reason I even gave it 1 star was for the brownies I purchased. The brownies are really good- although I'm not even sure they make them. Needless to say, I won't be going back. I used to frequent the Cuyahoga Falls location before it moved to Tallmadge because it was right down the street and the cupcakes are delicious. I work out this way now and decided to get cupcakes for a special occasion at work. I ordered last minute and the gentleman on the phone was rightfully noncommittal to anything other than his usual flavors. I wanted 3 s'mores but he said he couldn't do that. I was a little disappointed. Anyways, paid over the phone and showed up the next morning. He had made the s'mores. I didn't expect it and it was a nice surprise. My coworkers loved them. I was torn between a 1 star and 2 star review. Their cupcakes are just okay, the peanut butter chocolate ones seem to be consistently the best and most moist. Other flavors I've found to be extremely dry. We've tried this place quite a few times, my husband even had cupcakes made for my bday here (key lime- which were awful btw). But I think what really bothers me about this place is that they are SOOO unfriendly. Like I've said, we've been here a few times (maybe a half-dozen) and EVERY single time, the sales person is in the back and acts irritated that we've come in to purchase cupcakes. I just don't get it. I was just there last night (same unfriendly service) and this time found a plastic lid cover baked into one of our cupcakes (shown in picture). I got my free cupcake for the day after seeing my name on their Facebook page. I was the only one in the shop and some young man came out and greeted me and just asked to see my ID and I had my choice of about 10 different cupcakes and I chose the Lemon Drop....it looked and sounded good. He was friendly and answered some questions I had about ordering, etc. I waited till the following morning and was surprised how moist it was and the buttercream frosting with awesome! Not too strong and sweet and then in the middle of the cupcake was lemon fill....plus it was a huge cupcake! This is my favorite cupcake shop in the area. My personal favorite is the Red Velvet cupcake (and on that note, please make them more often, Pandora's!), but the mint chocolate and wedding cupcakes are also family faves. The Akron location has a super convenient drive thru, and they post their daily flavors each morning on their Facebook page, so you know before you go what there is to choose from. As is normal for a shop like this, they will close early if they sell out, so if you're planning to go later in the day you should call ahead to make sure they still have cupcakes! read more

The couple times I've been there, I've been really pleased with the cupcakes. The chocolate cupcakes are the ones that are the most moist. The chocolate covered banana was my favorite! I tried the red velvet but, it was a tad bit dry. One thing I would like to add is that the lady working behind the counter wasn't very helpful. If there could be a favorite indulgence of mine it would be a box of cupcakes. Shocking, my first knowledge of Pandora's came from a friend. I came home one day to a box of 6 of these amazing looking cupcakes on my door. I was elated and also a bit sad I didn't find this place first. I mean, after all, I have ate at some of the most popular cupcakes places all over the United States. My first encounter with Pandora's was heightened because it was a surprise and I didn't have to pay for them. Everything seems better that way, right? The chocolate mint was the only one I can remember at the moment (it was 2 months ago you know!) Overall, they must have been pretty good because last night the boy and I decided to stop and pick up 4. Service was nice, the shop is cute but lacking something. I couldn't put my finger on it but maybe it was too sterile? Cupcakes scream fun and playful to me and the name can lead to so much- but the store? BORING! Anyways, about the cupcake....it needs work. I don't want to sound harsh but I have had better from people who make them at home. I am kind of surprised there is a store open when clearly, the recipes are not nailed down and perfect. First, the cake when we bought it was very dry. Now, imagine eating them they next day. You need a couple glasses of water to get them down. Definite 0 points on the cake part at all. The frosting is also OK but again, even the frosting is dry and really lacks flavor. I'm torn. On one hand, I was excited for this place to open. Thrilled there would be a place near by that I could sneak off to and indulge myself while not leaving a lot of evidence behind of my devious deeds. On the other hand, aren't we done with this whole cupcake thing? I could see this working well in conjunction with something else (eg. Coffee shop, sandwiches, et cetera). Regardless of that.... West Side Bakery still has these folks beat. WSB only offers chocolate and vanilla cupcakes (without special ordering), but the quality and aesthetic value of their cupcakes is so far beyond Pandora's. And I can get a sandwich or salad there, a cup of coffee, and any of their delectable cookies/scones. I think they even have soup. I fully understand that the name is 'Pandora's Cupcakes'....but still. Uni-purpose places never really make me happy. Especially when they don't even do their sole purpose that well. I had a Red Velvet cupcake when I went in and was brought back a French Toast cupcake by a friend when she went. I have been called 'particular' when it comes to red velvet, and it's true. Unfortunately, the red velvet cupcake was hurt-your-teeth sweet and not the least bit chocolatey. COME ON, people! Put some cocoa in your red velvet! It's not white cake with food coloring. I really wanted to like Pandora and I have tried several of their cupcakes. They're really dense. The last time we went we got Key Lime and another cupcake that wasn't even decent enough to remember. I love key lime anything. Except this cupcake. I didn't really taste key lime. It was also really dense. I have that problem with all of their cupcakes, but I figured a key lime cupcake would be a little lighter. The filling tasted like the canned pie filling you buy at the grocery store. As a side note, the decor-or lack thereof- is awful. The cashiers are really nice, but I do not think this place will last very long. The store was pretty sterile feeling, and even though there were tables in there, I would definitely feel uncomfortable eating in such an empty store, no music or anything. Prices weren't too bad for the size of the cupcakes, and the flavor assortments were promising. But my goodness, when I tried a few of them with my friend...I didn't even want to finish the halves I had cut for myself. Bland and dry and there was way too much of the icing, which tasted mildly of Crisco or something. I've tried Pandora's cupcakes several times and am always very underwhelmed. Cupcakes are pretty dense, overly sweet, and a bit dry. Frosting is so overly sweet and dense that we took most of it off while eating. The decorations are really nice, and they are a good price for the large size, but the taste didn't live up to the looks at all. I also had a small issue with service-- when i requested a certain type of popcorn they had listed on their facebook that morning, the woman said they did not have it. I could see the labeled bin with the popcorn and pointed it out and asked if that was it, and the woman didn't respond, which was odd. I could even see some pre-made bags of the flavor I wanted but she seemed determined to get me out of the store for some reason. Overall I would not recommend or order from them again. read more

I like these cupcakes. I've made a few purchases and tried two myself so far: Red Velvet with Cream Cheese frosting and Banana Cream. Those were both highly delicious. The store itself may throw you when you walk it as it seems oddly like they don't sell cupcakes or anything else in there. Do not be fooled. They do, in fact, sell cupcakes. There are a few (2 or 3) little cafe tables where you can sit to enjoy your sugary treat and a small fridge with milk, iced coffees and other potables as well so you can relax for a moment and enjoy the dessert. I stopped in here around 7:30 on a Saturday so I didn't have huge expectations. At first I thought the store was closed because there was nothing out and no one inside. When I went in I saw there were only like 5 cupcakes out and a list of other flavors. For what?...I have no idea. There were just flavors written in marker on a sheet of paper inside the case. A woman came out from the back but was by NO means friendly at all. I asked her what they still had left and she just pointed at the case. I was slightly confused on what a cake cube was, since I had never seen one, so I asked. You would have thought I was the biggest bother, by asking this question! Apparently I am supposed to know that cake cubes are exactly like cake pops, just without the stick....okay. I ordered an Almond cake cube, a cookie dough cake cube and one chocolate cupcake. They looked so cute and weren't really expensive. I couldn't wait to get home and eat them. Not at all what I thought. The cupcake tasted burned and nothing like chocolate at all! The cubes were so gross I didn't want to finish them. I was so freaking disappointed because I was looking forward to eating them. I thought they would be dry, but for the most part they weren't. Just awful flavor on all three. I might give this place another try, but it's unlikely. Why do that when there's West Side and Sweet Mary's? I'm not sure what the haters problems are. We tried three cupcakes: Mint Oreo, Peanut Butter and Salted Carmel. All three were AMAZING. I consider myself to be a sweets conessuir and these were top notch. All three cakes were moist and flavorful, they barely left crumbs they were so moist. The frosting was divine with lots of flavor, creaminess and sweetness. I plan to go back to try all the other flavors. The shop is very simple and low frills but who cares because the cupcakes are delicious. The girl gave us each a free cake ball, one choc on choc the other choc orange. They were both the best thing I have ever had. There are some real haters on here but I think they must be crazy or have caught a bad day because their reviews have nothing to do with what I saw and tasted. Today I was in the area for the first time and I decided to try out Pandoras as well as two other cupcake places. Unlike other cupcake places, they have only one cupcake displayed for each flavor. Yes, the display is mediocre however I appreciate not having to bend down and look at the cupcakes in a case. The first cupcake I tried was carrot and it was simply amazing!!! Next were the peanut butter and key lime! Just wonderful! What I really like is the icing. Very light and fluffy...and not overpowering the cake. At $1.99 each, they were priced right to try more than one. I personally like the regular size cupcakes vs the jumbo ones! Pandora's is 4 hours away from me...I'm sad that I can't visit here more often!!! read more

I honestly have no idea why there are so many bad reviews for this place! I have gone to Pandora's Cupcakes with my family at least a dozen times and have never been disappointed. Our favorite flavors are Cookie Dough and S'mores - I love the filling! Their cake balls are really good too - very moist! I love that Pandora's has so many flavors to choose from, and I really like that they are so active with social media and post the day's flavors so you know what to expect. Looking at some of the other reviews, I think a lot of people are being a bit unfair in their ratings. If I bought food anywhere and waited a day or two to eat it, I can't blame them if it's dry or going stale. Also, don't dock off stars because they don't sell sandwiches or whatever else other places might have - it's a cupcake shop. Would you be mad at a pizza place for not having pad thai? If you want a sandwich, go to a sandwich shop. If you don't want cupcakes, don't go to a cupcake shop. If you find a magical place that offers both, good for you! The guy (he is owner i find out later) said oh sorry I havent had time to put up a menu. Then he started rattling off the kinds of cupcakes real fast. I said...Im sorry i have a brain injury and cant understand what you are saying. I told him I had to write down the kinds of cupcakes. He gave a look like I was a bother. He said "well let me take care of this other customer first" when he came back to me he rattled off the cupcake only slightly slower, my friend coukd hardly keep up making notes. So here is my story. Pandora's cupcakes offered a groupon where you could spend $15 and get $30 worth of goods. The $30 worth of goods came in three $10 vouchers. We called the store and asked what the rules were on the groupon redemption. We were told we could not use all the vouchers at the same time but rather it would have to be used on different days. The last line is important because my wife ordered a batch of cupcakes for a Friday pickup and another batch for a Saturday pickup. We stayed within the rules given to us by Pandora's Cupcake. My wife decided to order some cupcakes for our son's birthday. She called in the order, gave her credit card number to Ken, who is the owner, but before my wife hung up, she told Ken she forgot she had the groupons and wanted to use them. He said it was too late, order has been processed and that was that. She called me and let me know the situation which was upsetting that a customer would be treated that way. I decided to call and talk to Ken myself. Ken picked up the phone and i introduced myself and recapped what my wife told me. He acknowledged the exchange with my wife and I asked him are orders final or can you cancel them and place them again. He said he could cancel the order but we couldn't use the groupon in the manner which we were trying. I explained to him that was how it was told to us and he said we were trying to "skirt" the groupon rules. I told him we did not and were only trying to stay within the rules. He got frustrated and said it wasn't fair to him the way we were putting our order in and he would not let us use the groupon. He said he would cancel the order and then told us to get a refund from groupon. I told him I was pretty upset being told I was trying to cheat him but rather they should change their rules on ordering when using a groupon. Change it to a groupon can only be used once a week but don't tell me the rule to use it and then call me a cheater when I stay within your rules. Needless to say, my wife and I need to find a new treat for our guests when they come to our son's first birthday party. I don't know if the cupcakes are good or not, we didn't get the chance to try them. I just can't believe the owner would call a potential customer a cheater. I saw on Facebook that Pandora's was asking for people to write great reviews of their shop for a free cupcake. I felt bad only giving 3 stars and thought I'd try them again. I went back later that week when my boyfriend and I were craving some sweets and ordered a few cupcakes of assorted flavors and brought them home. They were terrible. We couldn't even eat them. The cake was stale and flavorless and the frosting was overly sweet and didn't have a great flavor either. The promise of absolute decadence has been made! Yet if you get cupcakes here the boxes don't say "Pandora's Box" How stunningly disappointing! If you're gonna name your establishment after something play on it, don't just allude to it play it to the hilt!! All drum-roll and no cymbal crash! Already bought ten thousand boxes? Make a special cupcake that one only gets when one purchases a dozen or more and put it in a separate box that is labeled Pandora's Box! A little spin n the Baker's dozen. Get people to up their order just to get the special cake! Make 'em in small batches and run out of them and give people rain checks when you run out. It's not that the cupcakes were bad, I mean we're talking cupcakes here, what can be bad? However, if you only do one thing, methinks you should do it better than anyone else around. At Giant Eagle 300 yards away if I don't like the bakery's cupcakes at least I can buy a bagel or a loaf of bread or a cookie, but here we have but one choice! I musn't be allowed me to regret that choice! The six various cupcakes we got were just O.K. I can get O.K. anywhere! They were kinda dry, and the overpowering flavor of the cupcakes was sweet, followed by a whisper of whatever flavor of cupcake one purchased, (e.g. mint or chocolate). Kinda like the Hershey bar of cupcakes. In vending machines everywhere! I'm an infrequent baker, but I made a scratch cake recently (give credit to The Joy of Baking), that just put any of the six cupcakes we tried to shame! That shouldn't be. If you want me to return I should be thinking "This is so much better than anything I could make", not "I'm not sure the taste merits the calories." I know it costs more, but real butter when the recipe calls for a fat, real vanilla, real eggs and egg yolks and nothing with the word "hydrogenated" in it, etc. would go a long way toward fixing things here. Cost more? Up your prices, just stop compromising and start making big bucks! read more

After more visits to try other cupcake flavors, I had to bring down the star. The flavor was not consistent and sometimes too dry. This means you better eat them soon after getting em. Keep them for the next day and you may regret it... Some of the selections are flavorless (e.g. red velvet) and a bit uninspiring. Would like to see more creativity and a "unique" flavor shouldn't be rotated around once every 2 days. Drive-through is still awesome though. read more

So I moved to the cleveland area from kansas city a while back and was struggling with finding a nice cupcakery. we tried main street cupcakes in medina initially, but yuck. we stumbled across this store randomly when we were looking for something else. it felt like destiny, i had just said no more than 10 minutes before that i really was in the mood for a cupcake. we stopped in to check it out. the location is a little hidden, but quite a cute storefront. i will say i was expecting a bit more whimsy from a cupcake shop, thats the point right? the cupcakes were kind of randomly displayed to the right, some past reviewers mentioned it was sort of pathetic looking, but i don't take issue with it all that much; to me it's truly the flavor that counts. anyway they had quite a few flavors available for the day. we got the mint chocolate one, peanut butter cup, salted caramel, chocolate caramel, and red velvet. i was tempted to get the lemon blueberry, but maybe once the spring/summer rolls around it'll be more appropriate. the stand outs were definitely the peanut butter and chocolate caramel. they weren't overly sugary and the size of the cake was a nice ratio to the icing. i have to say the taste is great, nothing extremely revelating about these babies, just great tasting cupcakes. i have to disagree with some of these reviews, they're the best i've tasted in this area thus far. overall a great cupcakery, great taste, nice store and size; not much more you could ask for! read more

DON'T ORDER GENDER REVEAL CUPCAKES HERE! I ordered cupcakes for my gender reveal with our families. I showed the man who helped me a picture of what I wanted and he said it was no problem at all. I left excited about it but then had to call back two more times because in my excitement I realized he never went over the details with me other than the date and cost. I had to call back to confirm cake colors and type of frosting. You would think they would be thorough and review those things. So, my husband picked up the cupcakes and they looked great! When it came time for our families to cut/bite into the cupcakes there was no sound in the room...just utter silence and questions of confusion. My cupcake and my brothers had no sign of frosting-even though there was a HAIR in mine. And everyone else was not sure because there was either BARELY any pink frosting on the inside or the blue frosting from the top slid into the inside frosting when biting or cutting it. Luckily, my husband and I already knew the gender. If we didn't you could imagine how horrific this could have been. Luckily for them, I am so excited about my baby that I didn't go as hard on them as I should have when I called, even though I was so disappointed by the taste and the lack of reaction we got from our families. I can't imagine how another momma who didn't know their baby's gender yet would feel:( When I called, the man frequently interrupted me, apologized but made MANY excuses. He even admitted that he wasn't so sure if the way he told me he would do them were the best idea that morning. Wouldn't you think someone would call with that concern...or do a tester cupcake? The cake part was very dense. Also, I wasn't expecting the cinnamon to be in the apple filling. It just doesn't scream "caramel apple" to me, idk. I bought more cupcakes, but haven't tried them yet. We bought a half dozen, we threw it away after taking a bite out of 4 of them, they were stale, counter lady wasnt very friendly either
