I called needing a mani/pedi last minute while visiting from out of town. I came in after calling to make sure they could take me last minute. It is very pretty inside and the ambiance is very calming. The staff is friendly, however, I left with the pedicure only. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN. I always go to Tina's nail salon but it was a quick gel manicure we were getting. I searched up the nearest place in Montecito to get gel manicures. My sister and I came to get Manicures. We sat down and waited and 30 minutes later they received a call and told another customer to come in. I love this place! The people who work here are the sweetest and always try to get me in when I call for a last minute appointment.

Pedicure was too aggressive and rough. They filed my skin along with my nails. They scrubbed my arches as hard as my callouses. The "massage" was just a repetitive rub down, again too rough, by a guy with no training in massage technique. I had to ask him to be more gentle several times. I came here yesterday. I think that the service itself was good I had an appointment. I only waited 5 min I got a regular manicure and they finished fast. However there were air bubbles on my nails and when I asked them to fix the paint job they were not so happy. The technicians are very good and so are the prices. My only complaint is when you call for appointment the phone is a cell phone and the owner/manager answers. She does not ask your name for the appointment and is usually working on a patron while she is talking to you so she is rushed. You tell her what services you want and she gives you a time. At times she is so busy and rushed she doesn't always get the services you want. Usually when you are ready to pay someone needs to leave the patron to take you payment. Just please get a person at the front desk to answer the phone, book the correct appointment and take your name and payment. I won't be going back to Pandora. I have liked Jessica, the nail technician, and her skill and have looked forward to my visits. However, on my last visit when I told the woman handling my credit card to pay my bill to add a 15% tip another technician jumped up and started yelling at me very loudly so that all the customers were staring , saying I had to give 20%, "what's the matter with you, it's only $70" and shaming me in front of the whole salon. It was rude and uncalled for. I am sorry to lose Jessica but no customer should be treated like that. Don't go to Pandora. read more

I had an appointment with the owner for a mani and pedi. When I arrived she did not do my nails even though I specifically asked for her. She had me sit on pedicure chair with my feet in water and had another manicurist do my nails while she did someone else. I was not satisfied with my mani and pedi and will not go back. This is the second time this happened to me at Pandora. I paid $65 for regular mani and pedicure-top dollar for poor workmanship. read more

What can I say about Pandora Nail Spa? In my opinion it is hands-down the best nail salon in the Santa Barbara and Montecito area. I started going there a few months after their grand opening and I've been going ever since. All of their nail technicians are meticulous about their work and I've never had a bad experience there. They are professional, sweet and very accommodating of walk-ins (although I always make an appointment) and the ambiance is clean and calming. All of the ladies are always so nice and they always remember me (from the second time I went there onwards) even though sometimes I go quite a while between visits (I live part-time in NorCal). They are also very moderately priced, especially considering the location. Unlike nearly every other nail spa I've been to in California, the staff at Pandora keeps a friendly but quiet environment (some other salons get pretty loud with the staff yelling back and forth, but the ladies - and gentleman - at Pandora keep a soothing and relaxing atmosphere) and make you at ease to either do your own thing and enjoy a book or podcast or engage in conversation with them. I really do feel very welcome and well taken care of when I go there and honestly I don't go anywhere else. If I can't make it down to Montecito to see them I will trim and file my own nails and wait until I can make an appointment with the ladies at Pandora because no one deserves my business more than they do. My daughters and I have gone to Pandora since they opened and generally have been happy. But in this COVID environment, I can no longer support them. Though all the staff is masked, several patrons were not and there is no sign on the door about masks being required. For 30 minutes I sat next to a young unmasked girl, wrestling with whether or not to tell her mother I am in treatment for breast cancer. In the end I did not, feeling that the staff cared more about freedom of choice for their patrons. I won't return until/unless the pandemic is behind us. read more

So happy I found this place! I have come a handful of times now and have had most, if not all, of the lovely ladies do my nails. It's so rare to find a place where everyone does an equally great job, but they do here! I feel no need to request a certain person because they have all been wonderful. As my sister and I approached the store I believe the manager and another worker looked at us inappropriately and started to speak in their native tongue. I told them to be professional and address me in a language I understand, English. She saw I was annoyed continued to speak in her language than somehow gained a nice personality and started to address me in a proper tone when she saw I wasn't having it. I booked an appointment for my sisters birthday to be relaxing not frustrating. I understand English isn't a universal language and completely respect peoples backgrounds but both verbal and non verbal cues are basic manners that should be practiced when running a business. My nails looks nice and the staff was nice, however I have never been to a nail salon that doesn't offer their clients disposable slippers after a pedicure. I came straight from work and this was a last minute decision to stop in so I didn't have any other shoes to put on after the pedicure. There was no offer of slippers and they were packing up to leave for the night so I had the choice to put on my shoes and ruin the pedicure or walk barefoot to my car. Needless to say the bottom of my feet are black. Won't be going back and it's a bummer because it's so close to home. read more
